Bruce shook his head, "No."

Talia let out the small breath she was holding.

"No?" Ra's looked at Bruce. "You turn down the power of controlling the League of Assassins? Hundreds of trained killers who could do whatever you wanted to your little city?"

Bruce said, "I don't do what I do for power. I do it for Gotham. Being the Demon's Head would bring nothing good to Gotham, nor myself."

"You'll reconsider," Ra's started walking away.

He was followed out of the room by his closest members, save for Talia.

She looked at Bruce, "Beloved, he will not take kindly to being denied."

"I know, but Talia you are the heir, not me," Bruce said.

She shook her head, "Not anymore." Talia clenched her fist, "He will not make Gotham easy for you."

"I-" he sighed, "I know."

"Your absence in Gotham could give me time to sway him," Talia turned away from him. 

Bruce's brows furrowed, "And why would I leave Gotham?"

"To meet our son."

Red Hood cursed under his breath as he ducked out of the Leauge member's sword path. He grabbed the sword and yanked it closer to him. The wielder stumbled and was met with a punch in the face by Jason. The assassin crumbled to the ground.

A loud smack made Jason turn around. 

Two unconscious assassins at Robin's feet. Tim spun his bo and looked at Jason.

They both gave each other a nod.

"Incoming," Jason raised his gun and shot over Tim's shoulder taking out an assassin. 

Tim turned and looked at the person, "Thanks."

"Damn ninjas," Jason walked over to Tim. "That was twelve in the past few minutes."

"Clearly Batman has pissed someone off," Tim looked at him.

Jason scoffed, "Yeah and we're going to be stuck cleaning up his mess. As always."

"You really think he wasn't able to figure out what they wanted?" Tim asked.

Jason reloaded his gun, "The Leauge is a different breed. Sometimes they are on our side and others they are not. It's hard to tell, but right now it's not feeling very friendly."
