Mew stared at the door of Gulf's classroom waiting for the hand to tick over and the bell to ring. He had arrived back at the college early, but he hadn't seen the point of going home when he was already so close to his omega. He knew that it would be difficult to stay away but he hadn't realized just how difficult it was to stay away when he could smell the scent of his omega being surrounded by other scents that he didn't recognize.

They were all human except for Joss' gamma but that didn't make it any less of an ordeal for Mew and as soon as the bell rang, he wrenched open the door of the classroom and walked inside ignoring the startled look of the teacher who hadn't seemed to have finished his lesson. Gulf looked a little startled at first, but it soon became embarrassed as he reached his side and wrapped his arms around his waist and nuzzled his mouth to his neck.

"What... Alpha!" Gulf whined trying to pull away but after the scare he had been given by Singto. It felt good to be near his Omega even if he was going to be angry with him later.

"You said one. The bell's gone." He grumbled and he felt Gulf hold his breath before letting out a long hard sigh his hand coming up to stroke against his arm. The teacher from the front of the class began speaking rapidly and the class began to move clearing their desks and leaving the room. "There see we can go now."

"You're more like a puppy than alpha." Gulf mumbled his voice thick with his embarrassment as Mew released him just enough to allow him to shove his books into his bag and get to his feet. Mew knew that he should be offended by the comment but as Gulf was trying hard not to be angry, he didn't want to be the one that broke their fragile truce. "Okay. Let's go to lunch."

"What do you fancy?" Mew asked as they headed out of the room. The hordes of people in the corridors parted as they passed, helped by a well-placed growl from Mew, allowing both them and Joss, who was trailing behind, to walk freely through the crowds and out to the grounds. "Gulf?"

"Hmm. A burger with extra pickles."

"You're having cravings already? You're only a week along." Mew frowned supposing that it was possible as Gulf had spent most of the previous day heaving everything in his stomach up. Joss let out a high-pitched laugh though putting his mind at ease when he said.

"Nah! Gulf eats that all the time! I would be worried if he didn't eat it! Anyway. Ah! Toptap!"

Mew watched as the happy man ran over to his driver leaving him alone with Gulf who was still pressed up against his side. He rubbed his hand up and down his back, breathing in the beautifully warm scent again. The alpha allowed his lips to ghost against Gulf's temple enjoying feel of his skin feeling hot against

"So, is there a place that you specifically like going for your burger?" He asked and Gulf nodded pointing with a vague hand from the campus mumbling.

"Yeah. But it's a cheap place. Not like what you're used to."

"I think I can manage some cheap food, just don't ask me to eat pickles. They make me feel sick."

"Then I guess that means I can have yours." Gulf responded teasingly and Mew didn't bother to argue that they could just order his without. It might not be a craving, but he wasn't going to argue determined to keep his omega as sweet as possible before he had to tell him about Fah.

"Come on then little omega. I'll give you as many pickles as you can manage."

"I have no idea how you can eat them." Mew frowned as Gulf happily shoved the pickles into his mouth and chopped them down. Mew had been as good as word about giving him as many pickles as he could hope to eat, and he felt like smirking at the look of disgust that was clear in the alphas face. Mew had already been dubious about his own burger and Gulf knew that his alpha had probably never eaten anything so cheap before. "You do realize that this isn't even proper meat, right? I could have brought you a proper burger."

"I like this, and you said it was my choice. So, eat it!" Gulf hummed gently kicking him with the toe of his shoe. Mew's frown became deeper as he bit into the burger and began to chew. Gulf smiled and then ate his own looking around the burger bar. It was packed with the normal lunch time crowds but around their table it was empty with both humans and werewolves not wanting to get too close to them. "Are you always treated like this?"

"What?" Mew asked with a frown licking away some of the ketchup that had been staining his bottom lip and Gulf sighed gesturing to the bubble of empty space that was around them as he grumbled.

"With such a wide berth?"

"I suppose..." Mew gave a disinterested shrug and continued eating his burger with slow bites not seeming to care. "It is a little more obvious than it normally is. But that's only natural."

"So, it's going to be like this until I've had our pup?" Gulf gave another look at the crowds of people who were being very careful not to get too close to their table, something that was difficult in the tight spaces that was all around them and he sighed, surprised when Mew rubbed his foot gently up and down his leg looking almost apologetic as he nodded and whispered.

"Yes...and before you ask, no I can't stop it. It's not that I don't trust you I just don't trust them, I'm sorry..."

"No. I understand. I just thought that it was like this all the time, if it was its lonely. Being an alpha." Gulf hummed and Mew blinked with some surprise his burger halfway towards his mouth a flash of happiness in his eyes at Gulf's understanding and his foot stroked him again slowly up and down.

"It's not always this bad. Human's don't normally pick up on it. I'm giving off more pheromones simply because I'm with you."

"And because I'm pregnant?" Gulf asked his hand brushing almost unconsciously over his stomach and Mew let out a long and almost heavy sigh as he dropped his burger down onto the plastic tray and shook his head his hand moving down to take Gulf's. Their fingers threaded and Mew brought the hand to his mouth kissing the fingers.

"No because of you...Even if I hadn't found out you were pregnant, I would be doing this. Our pup is just a bonus." He told him as Gulf's cheeks flushed brightly with both the words and the action "I told you that I'm going to make you accept me. I'm not going to let other people come between us..." Gulf couldn't find a way to respond to such a possessively romantic speech and so he stayed silent tugging his hand free and eating his burger with as much speed as he could and then drank down his banana flavored milkshake. Mew smirked as he finished his own meal and Gulf grew more irritated with his lack of appropriate response positive that it was already hormones that was making him as mushy as this "Ready to go, Gulf?"
