I stood in the shower with Lloyd, holding his waist as he kissed me. His hand was over me on the wall. I was exhausted, and I could barely keep my eyes open.

Lloyd pulled away, staring at me. I glanced at his plump lips and his hickeys.

"You wanna go to bed?" He asked.

I nodded, trying to keep my eyes open. Lloyd chuckled.

"Come on."

We got out and dried off. I brushed my hair and put on perfume and deodorant, as well as Lloyds sweatshirt and some of his boxers.

I got into bed, laying back. I immediately closed my eyes.

I felt Lloyds lips on mine. I smiled, forcing my eyes open again.

"Sleep." He said.

"Don't kiss me then." I whispered.

"Fine." He said. He moved over me to shut off the lamp, before laying on his stomach, putting his arm over me.

"Goodnight." He whispered.

"Goodnight."

"So, you wanna go on a date tonight?"

I stared at him as I ate a raspberry. "No."

"Why?" He asked as he handed me my tea.

"Because we aren't dating. And our last one didn't go too well."

"Well what if I take you somewhere that isn't mine."

"Parents, students, coworkers, anyone could see. No."

"You're embarrassed of me huh?" He asked. He came over, sitting on the counter in front of me. I sat back, eating a strawberry while he got comfortable.

"I'm not embarrassed of you. I just don't want people to see us together."

"And that's because..."

"Because that's a lawsuit waiting to happen."

"A lawsuit for occasionally fucking you? Put me in cuffs."

"I'll try that." I said. He rolled his eyes. I smiled.

Lassie came over and sat by me. Lloyd kissed my head before getting down on the floor. He pet lassies head as she moved on top of him, attacking his face. I smiled, sipping on my tea.

Maybe I should go on a date with him. He had been really sweet lately. I knew he was trying.

I continued to watch him play with my dog. I was comfortable in his house. He was comfortable with me. We had a good communication going on.

"Okay. I can get ready." I mumbled.

"Really?"

"Yeah."

He smirked. "Let's just go casual. Some stupid bar. I need a quiet, easy night."

"That's the best thing you've ever said."

He smirked, cocking his head to make me get down on the floor. I smiled, getting down with him. He laid me down next to him. I rested my head on his chest as I pet my dog.

"Yeah. You like Lloyd. I know." I whispered. Lloyd smiled.

"Just Lassie?" He asked. I rolled my eyes. Lloyd smirked and laid back. I sat up and kissed his soft lips.

"Not just Lassie." I said softly. He smiled. I fixed his hair a bit before rubbing his cheek. He looked at the dog, petting her head as I stared at him.

He was so unbelievably attractive. I couldn't stop staring.

"Caroline."

"Mm."

"Stop staring."

"I can't stop." I whispered. He rolled his eyes at me.

"You're so funny."

"I'm not trying to be." I whispered. "You're so handsome."

"Oh god." He said.

"Are you embarrassed?" I asked. He shook his head.

"No- well..I don't know."

I studied him for a second. But just as I was about to get up and kiss him again, my phone rang.

I sighed, getting up. My brother.

"Hello?"

"Hey. So, I have a huge favor to ask."

"Mhm."

"Can you maybe watch the kids tonight?"

"Really?"

"I'm so sorry. Terri has a banquet and our babysitter shit out on us."

Wayne was my brother. He had two kids named Jack and Maxine. Jack was six and Max was four.

"I...I mean I had plans."

"What are those plans for you?"

"A date." I mumbled.

"Is this the guy you were telling Margo about?"

Margo was my older sister. I had mentioned that I was casually talking to someone.

"Why does she tell you every single time?"

"That's a talk for later. He can be around the kids."

I sighed. "Fine. But I get food brought home tonight."

"That's fine."

I sighed. I gave lloyd a disappointed look.

"Okay. I'll see you...?"

"Does three work? It's an hour drive and we have to be there early."

I checked the clock. It was almost noon. And my house was in need of a reset.

"That's fine."

"Thank you." He said.

"Yeah. Love you."

"Love you too. Bye."

I hung up and sighed. "I have to go."

"Gathered that."

"You can come too."

"No. You're fine.."

"Come over." I said. He groaned.

"Then I have to meet your brother."

"He's nice."

"Mhm."

"Please?"

"Fine. But I don't like kids."

"They're in bed by nine. And I know that they won't be home until three. So then we just order in, watch a movie. It's a date from home."

He nodded. "Okay. Let's go."
