Early Christmas morning, Nicky woke up and went into Rory and Logan's room. He peeked into the bassinet, where Sammy was sleeping.
"Hi Sammy" Nicky whispered, before climbing into bed, between Rory and Logan "Mama, it's Christmas" he whispered in Rory's ear
Rory turned around to look at Nicky
"Yes it is" Rory said quietly as she sat up, halfway
"And Santa came"
"You were downstairs?" Rory asked
Nicky nodded "Santa left us presents"
"Oh really?" Rory smiled
"Yeah. Can we open them now?"
"We have to wait for everyone to wake up, and eat breakfast first"
Nicky turned around to face Logan
"Daddy, wake up" Nicky said and nudges Logan's shoulder
Logan opened his eyes and stared at Nicky for a second before grabbing him and wrapping his arms around him.
"No!" Nicky giggled
"Do you know what today is?" Logan asked
"Christmas"
Just then someone knocked on the door that Nicky had left open.
"You can come in" Logan said
Lorelai appeared in the doorway, holding Grace.
"Does this belong to you?"
"I believe so" Rory chuckled
"Does she know that it's 6am?"
"Probably not" Logan said
"Grandma, we're gonna open presents!" Nicky said
"We're gonna eat breakfast first" Rory told him
"Why?"
"Because your little body needs food" Logan said as he got out of bed and took Grace from Lorelai
"You can go back to sleep if you want" Rory said
"Nah, I'm already up"
"Ok, then I have a surprise for you" Rory said
"Another one?"
"Not as exciting as Sammy, but it'll be good" Rory said
They went downstairs to the kitchen, and after giving Nicky and Grace breakfast, Rory pulled out a bag of candy cane coffee and handed it to Lorelai.
"Where did you find this?!" Lorelai gasped
"Logan and I got coffee in this little place next to the hospital a couple of weeks ago and i saw it there. I knew you were coming for Christmas so I bought it"
"Is this for today?"
"It's for today, and I bought one for you too"
"Do you guys know how amazing your mommy is?"
Nicky nodded
"Well, you got one out of 2" Lorelai joked
"She doesn't have her processors on" Logan said as he made the Candy cane coffee
"Merry Christmas" April said, when she walked into the kitchen a few minutes later
"Hey" Rory said "you want cereal with Christmas mnms?"
"Yes please" April said and sat down at the kitchen island, across from Nicky, who had a bowl of dry cheerios and a cup of milk. "Nicky, why don't you put the cereal and milk together? It tastes really good"
