Chapter 254:

I was just getting out of surgery with Maggie and I see mom with Melissa by the OR board.

Delilah: hi mom.
Maggie: Melissa.
Melissa: Maggie.
Delilah: how is it being back mom?
Mom: oh, it's good to be operating again. Tell me, how are things here with the restructuring?
Delilah: Tom Koracick is... a... brilliant surgeon.
Melissa: not everybody's cup of tea.
Delilah: yeah, he's a jackass.
Mom: I heard he and Jackson really got into it.
Delilah: yeah, but you know Jackson.
Mom: that boy can be so tight-lipped. He gets it from me.
Melissa: my boy gets that from me too. And I know that's hard to live with at times Maggie.

I look over at Maggie who looked just as confused as I was.

Maggie: have you and Dylan talked much lately?
Melissa: we should have dinner soon. Us, plus Catherine, Richard, Jackson and Lilah. And Lilah, you are more than welcome to bring the kids. And bring Joey too.
Maggie: I don't know if that's such a good—
Melissa: oh, no excuses. Come on. Family's too important.
Maggie: yeah, okay.

Mom and Melissa walk off.

Delilah: that wasn't awkward at all.

I walk off and I find Jackson in the lobby with Dylan.

Delilah: hey babes!
Jackson: hey beautiful.
Delilah: listen, I need to talk to you about a patient of mine. Can you do a quick consult for me in the imaging room?
Jackson: sure hon. Dyl, you got it from here?
Dylan: yeah man.

I walk with Jackson to the imaging room.

Delilah: did mom text you about dinner with Melissa?
Jackson: she did.
Delilah: Melissa doesn't know that Maggie and Dylan broke up.
Jackson: ouch.

Once we make it to the imaging room, I start talking about my patient.

-later-

I got a text from Alex saying he wanted to meet for coffee so I drive to Pac North and I see Mer.

Delilah: hey stranger!
Meredith: hey! Alex told me you'd be joining us.
Delilah: yeah. How you doin'?
Meredith: doing okay. You?
Delilah: I'm fine.

Suddenly, I see Maggie coming out of the hospital.

Meredith: hey.
Maggie: what are you guys doing here?
Meredith: in the neighborhood. Lunch break. Having coffee with Alex.
Delilah: same. My day is pretty limited, so I decided to have coffee with Alex.
Meredith: what are you doing in enemy territory?

Maggie shows us scans of a tumor.

Meredith: wow.
Delilah: that's a beautiful tumor.
Meredith: are you taking this out?
Maggie: I wish, but no. I can't do it.
Delilah: is it too risky?
Maggie: please, I would destroy that thing. No, I can't do it because it belongs to Richard's niece. And she doesn't want me to. We look so much alike, we could be twins, which is, you know, surreal, but it's not more than I can handle. But she thinks it would be like getting cut into by herself.
Meredith: I had a dream like that once.
Delilah: same. Not good.
Amy: what are we all doing here?

I turn around and I see Amy walking up to us.

Mag,M&D: patient [Alex].
Amy: what patient?

Mer shows Amy the scans.

Amy: sexy.
Maggie: yeah, I know.
Amy: I told Owen about the baby.
Maggie: oh, that's why you're here. I thought you were defecting.
Amy: I told him about the baby, and he got weird.
M&D: that's understandable.
Amy: is it? I mean, he's with Teddy and he's happy. And just now, he just seemed like he was angry with me for being pregnant. But he's gotta get with the program. This kid is gonna be Leo's little brother or sister. So he and Teddy are gonna be... aunt and uncle, I guess?
Maggie: does Leo call Teddy "mom"?
Amy: no, no, he calls her "Weddy" because he's working on his T's.
