I'm walking around the hospital when I see mom at a nurses station.

Delilah: mom!
Mom: hi baby.

I walk up to her and pull her into a hug.

Delilah: I thought you weren't going to be here until tonight.
Mom: I pushed some surgeries and got an earlier flight before the storm. How are you?
Delilah: I'm good.
Mom: how is everything with Dr. Minnick?
Delilah: they're... good.
Mom: good?
Delilah: yep.

I didn't want to upset mom. If she finds out that we're trying to make Minnick want to leave, I'll never hear the end of it from her. I don't want to disappoint her.

Delilah: I have to go, but I'll see you later. Love you mom.

I kiss mom on the cheek then I run off. I find Jackson in the lobby looking over charts.

Delilah: hi love.
Jackson: hey sweetie.

I place my head on Jackson's shoulder and read the chart as Arizona approaches.

Arizona: hey. So, what's the fallout from last night?
Jackson: so far, nothing.
Delilah: why? What have you heard?
Arizona: well, Minnick's car is here, so that means she obviously wasn't fired.
Jackson: you know what Minnick's car looks like?
Arizona: so? That– that's not weird.
Maggie: hey, did you hear about Alex?

I see Maggie joining us and standing behind Arizona.

Jackson: Lilah told me.
Arizona: yeah, Andrew told me.
Maggie: did he tell you why?
Arizona: no. He wouldn't say.
Dylan: "why" what? What's up with Karev?

I look over at Dylan who has joined us.

Maggie: he's not in jail. There's no trial.
Delilah: yeah, Andrew dropped all the charges.
Dylan: really? Why?
Delilah: Dyl, we literally have no idea.
Maggie: hey, what happened last night? Do we have all the Attendings with us?
Jackson: uh, well, Hunt– I'm not sure where he stands yet.
Arizona: well, what about Riggs?
Jackson: uh, Riggs, we can ask after he's done talking to your mom.
Maggie: whenever he's done doing what?
Jackson: talking to your mother.
Maggie: my what?
Delilah: your mom. Your mother, the one that raised and fed you?
Maggie: how could Riggs be talking to my mo– my mother is in Hawaii. What is he talk– what are you– what is he talking about?
Arizona: no, no, no. I met her at the coffee cart this morning. She's really nice.
Maggie: why– why is no one making any sense?
Jackson: Maggie, your mom is here.

Jackson points up with his eyes and Maggie turns around to see her mother with Riggs in the waiting area.

Maggie: my mother is here!
Jackson: that's what I've—

I chuckle as Maggie walks off to see her mother. I follow Jackson towards them and I send Mrs. Pierce a warm smile.

Mrs. Pierce: where your manners? Introduce me to your friends.
Riggs: yeah Pierce– manners.

I chuckle at Riggs.

Mrs. Pierce: Arizona and I are already old friends.
Arizona: oh, yes, yes. Mrs. Pierce and I go way back to the coffee cart.
Mrs. Pierce: not "Mrs". Diane.
Arizona: Diane.
Mrs. Pierce: but who are they? Is that the boy you like?
Maggie: mom!
Mrs. Pierce: what? Look at him.

I chuckle as Jackson wraps an arm around my waist.

Maggie: ma, okay. Everyone, thank you. You can go now. Go now.

The others leave but I stay behind with Jackson.

Jackson: I just wanted to introduce myself Diane. Dr. Jackson Avery.
Delilah: and I'm Dr. Delilah Avery-Shepherd.
Mrs. Pierce: oh, so you're the famous Jackson Avery. And you're his wife.
Jackson: yes. This is my extremely beautiful and amazing wife.
