"monica, he won't leave me alone," you muttered, taking a sip of your coffee. "i mean, he really won't stop asking me."

"asking who what?" joey asked as he sat down next to you on the couch.

"ross won't leave _____ alone," monica said as you let out a sigh. you got up, setting down your cup as ross came into the coffee house.

"hey, ______," he began but you shook your head.

"leave me alone," you said, looking up at him as you walked past him. when you left, ross came over to monica and joey as he furrowed his brows.

"i don't get it," he said. "all i did was ask her out."

monica sat up, setting her drink down. "you asked her out over twenty times, ross. she's not interested. just let it go."

joey laughed a little to himself.

"hey, since she rejected you, i can ask her out!" he said, smiling over at the two of them.

monica laughed at him, seeing ross and joey looking over at her.

"you two are such idiots," she said, sitting back on the couch as joey and ross both looked over at her.

"what do you mean, mon?" ross asked.

"can you two not see it? it's so obvious," she said, looking between the two guys as they both inched closer to her. she sat up, letting out a sigh. "she likes chandler."

joey laughed, sitting back on the couch as he and ross looked over at each other.

"chandler can't get a girl like that," he said.

ross laughed as well. "i mean, chandler is great and all, but there is no way that he would be able to get someone like her."

"well, at least he doesn't study dead things," joey said as ross looked over at him.

you walked back into the coffee house as you saw ross, joey, and monica still sitting there.

"i left my purse," you said, seeing joey and ross both stand up and move closer to you. you grabbed your bag, furrowing your brows in confusion as you looked between the two of them.

"what's with you guys?" you asked, looking between the two of them. joey smiled at you, moving slightly closer.

"how you doin'?" he asked.

you patted his shoulder as you looked back over at ross before leaving once more.

after you left, he and ross turned back to monica.

"how did that not work?" he asked.

monica laughed. "because she likes chandler, i told you."

ross looked over at joey, snapping his fingers. "maybe if we remind her that he and kathy broke up recently, it will get her to like one of us."

monica sighed, getting up as she looked over at her brother.

"maybe you could try leaving her alone to figure this out herself," she said before leaving.

"hey, ______," joey said, causing you to turn and face him from where you were sitting in the den. "don't you think that when you get out of a relationship, you need time to heal from it?"

you cleared your throat. "um, sure, i guess? but,-" you started but ross interrupted you.

"so, you'd agree that chandler might need some time to heal from kathy? i mean, rachel and i needed time to heal from each other."
