["GUESS WHAT I HAVE!"] Sorano shouts from the other side.

"Sorry, but guess what I have!"

"Macbeth got us invitations to Queen Hisui's Valentine's Ball!"

"Do I have to go?"

"Yes, you have to."

"Who says?"

"Me. We're going."

"Oh, come on. Why do I have to go?"

"Because you never talked to any woman for TWO YEARS!"

Kenji runs up to me. I picked him up into my arms.

"Hey, lil guy!"

"Will you play with me?"

"Yay! I have some Legos I want to play with you!"

"Show me to it."

I helped Kenji play with the new Legos Sabertooth got him. We were having a lot of fun until Kenji asked a question I never thought he'd ask.

"Daddy?"

"Where's mommy?"

I didn't know how I should answer this.

"Mommy is in another place."

"Oh, will she ever come back?"

"I wish, Kenji. I wish. Why'd you ask?"

"The kids at daycare were asking me where mommy was because you would always pick me up. Is mommy never coming back because of me?"
