Juvia POV
I was on the phone with Gray while walking Greige at the park. I held his hand with my right arm and on the phone with my left. He was learning how to walk.
"So, my contract is almost over."
"Are you going to renew it?"
"Do you want me to?"
"I don't know. It's up to you."
"Are you ready?"
"I think the question is, are you ready?"
"I like it here. But I can't live another day without you. I want our kids to live here."
"I know you do. No matter what, I'll always be waiting for you."
"Yeah, thanks."
"Hey, I'll call you back. Bye!"
I ended the call.
"Griege! Where are you going, sweetie?"
He was walking away from me, so I tried to catch up. He tripped on a rock and fell.
"Greige! Are you alright?"
His knees were scraped, so I carried him and walked to the hospital.
POP.
Crap. Greige was bleeding more, and my water broke. The hospital was a fifteen-minute walk, and I did not know if I could make it. What scared me the most was Greige not crying. I called Gajeel to let him know the situation. He said he was on his way to pick us up.
"Why aren't you crying, sweetie?"
He stared at me. I cradled him in my arms while we were sitting on a bench. I was waiting for Gajeel to pick us up.
Honk. Honk.
"Juvia!" He called out.
I rushed to his car.
"OW."
My contractions are starting.
"You okay?" Gajeel got out of his car to take Greige.
"Yeah, I'm okay. My contractions started, but don't worry about me. Greige got hurt, and he isn't crying!"
"Juvia! You're giving birth to twins!"
"I know! So hurry up!"
I got into the car with Greige in my hands. We rushed to the hospital and got admitted.
"We got it all taken care of, Juvia," Wendy reassured me.
"Wait! I need to be with him!"
"Are you crazy?! You're in labor, Juvia!" Gajeel pointed out.
"I know that! But my son is hurt!"
"I got him, okay? I'll meet you up with him when he's treated."
"Okay, I'm having twins."
"You're having twins!"
He hugged me and left with Greige. A nurse led me into a labor room where Dr. Dreyar-Clive met me.
"A walk in the park?" She asks me.
"Yeah, Griege was practicing walking."
"Aww, that's great, and your water broke."
"Greieg took a fall and was bleeding. I was carrying him, and my water broke."
"That must've been terrifying."
