"Please tell me you're going on a date," Evergreen tells me.

"I am."

"Thank the lord."

"What?"

"You look like you're from an old movie."

"Thanks."

"Who's the date?"

"I don't know. It's a girl I've been talking to for a few months. She's 22, pretty petite, and has long black hair."

"Wow, that's specific."

"She also said she's the strongest mage in her guild."

"We love a strong girl. Does she know you were stuck in a time bubble for seven years and are technically 30?"

"Yes, I did. It turns out she did as well."

"What the hell?"

"Her father forced her on Tenrou Island to train, and she got stuck there too."

"This has to be some kind of joke."

"I know it sounds surreal, but if I'm getting catfished, I at least tried."

"Your loss."

"Whatever. Do I look okay?"

"Where's the date at?"

"A bar."

"Pfft-"

"What?"

"You are not wearing a tuxedo to a bar."

"Then what else?"

"Anything else? Here, let me help."

"Thanks."

Evergreen looked at my closet and found outfits for me to try on.

"So, what did you put as your description?"

"23, average height, green hair."

"Don't you think green hair would be unattractive?"

"What do you mean?"

"Nevermind. Did you grow up with green hair?"

"Yeah?"

"Oh- here's your outfit."

She handed me a hanger with a blouse and chinos.

"These?"

"Yup. Perfect for a bar date."

"Whatever you say."

I changed into the outfit while Evergreen was ranting about what to do at the date.

"Do not eat anything smelly."

"Ever, I know how to go on a date."

"Remember last time?"

"I didn't even know it was a date!"

"Okay, but you don't have to have your shirt all buttoned up."

She loosened my shirt and exposed a little of my chest.

"Is that better?"

"Yeah, now you're ready."

"Alright. Thanks, Ever!"

"Don't screw it up!"

I left my apartment. It was 7:58 p.m. when I entered the bar. We are supposed to meet at 8. I didn't recognize anybody until I saw the average-height, young, and long black-haired woman. She was wearing a blue minidress with her space buns.
