I was staring at the black-haired and hazel-eyed woman. She looked so beautiful in her glamorous purple sequin dress. She was sitting by herself at the Fairy Tail bar. It was Valentine's Day, and Fairy Tail was hosting a masquerade ball.

"Dude, just tell her," Sting tells me.

"It's not that easy!"

"But it is."

"I'd like to see you do it."

"Okay, I'll do it for you."

"You know what I mean."

"Whatever. I'll be back."

Oh, pardon me. Let me give you the context.

The woman I was staring at was Kagura Mikazuchi. We met at the X791 Grand Magic Games, and she owns my friend Yukino's life. They went up against each other and were betting on their lives. Kagura won, and now Yukino is terrified of her. I always had a crush on Kagura, but I never did anything about it because Yukino was a good friend of mine. I couldn't do that to her. Right?

"Hey, Rogue!" Gajeel greets me.

"Oh, Gajeel! I'm surprised you're here."

"Any time for a drink." And I doze back to Kagura. "What are you staring at?"

"Oh, nothing. Hey, can I ask you something?"

"What's up."

"What do you do when you like someone, but your friend is terrified of them?"

"What do you mean?"

"Like your good friend interacted with your crush, and then your crush frightens them."

"How so? Did they fight?"

"Yeah."

"Oh. Ohhhhh! You like Kagura~!"

"That's what you were looking at!"

"Okay, what if it is her?"

"So it is her?"

"Just answer the damn question."

"Okay. Don't do anything. Friends come first. You can always find love somewhere. Friendship is all the love you need."

"Excuse me."

I walked up to the bartender.

"One shot of tequila, please."

"Coming right up!"

They poured me a small cup of tequila, and I devoured it.

"Another, please."

"Are you good?" Gajeel questions.

"Mmhmm..." I began hiccupping.

"I don't think you are."

"Dragon^ slayers^ can consume^ well."

"Explain the hiccups."

"It's all part of the process."

Kagura looks me in the eye. I grin at her, and she looks away.

"Woah, she's flirting with you," Gajeel spoke.
