Freed POV

"Freed! I love you!" Minerva shouted.

She was getting taken away for surgery. This can't be happening. I can't lose the person I love most again.

No, I refuse.

"Freed? You okay?" Dr. Dreyar-Clive asked.

"Dr. Dreyar-Clive! Yeah, I'm just in shock."

"You're terrified for your life."

"Yeah," I choked on my words.

I could feel the tears I was holding back.

"Do you want some privacy?"

"No, I'm fine." I began sniffling.

"Come on, follow me."

She pulled me to a different floor and into her office. She typed in a code that revealed a room full of breakable items. Glasses, punching bags, food, wood, toys, all you would break.

"What is this?"

"The breakdown room. I use this place for people who need to let something go."

"I don't think this is necessary,"

"Are you sure?"

I burst into tears.

"NO! NOTHING IS OKAY!"

Dr. Dreyar-Clive tossed an apple at me. I swat it away, and the apple smashed into the floor.

"Tell me more."

She threw me a banana, and I smacked it to the ground.

"The woman I love the most hurt me, but she is physically hurt right now. She slept with another man and got pregnant with him! I don't know if I should feel worried, upset, angered, or- terrified for my life!"

"So you're mad at her for sleeping with another man?"

"No! She- she moved on..."

"Let me try to make sense of this. You're mad at her for moving on even though you were the one who broke up with her?"

"No- I guess?"

"Then why did you break up with her?"

"Because she always spent time with Athena."

"Why do you think she slept with Rogue?"

"To make me jealous? She likes him?"

"Those two were bound to be done ever since Rogue liked Kagura. In that case, the beginning."

"What are you saying?"

"She probably felt lonely. I may not know Minerva well, but she would never mean to hurt you. She loves you so much."

"And I do also."

"Then what's holding you back?"

"I- I don't know..."

"Have you had any trauma besides fighting?"

I didn't know what to say to her. I guess the incident with Carmen is scaring me to love someone else.

"You don't have to say anything, but I assume you do."

"I let her go for just one second..."

"Minerva?"

"No, my sister."

"Your sister?"

Anger was creeping in my face.
