Rogue POV
Sting and Yukino were getting married, but Sting was an idiot, so he ran out on his wedding. Luckily, we still have a few hours until the wedding starts. I don't know what he's thinking. Yukino finally returned, and they were happier than ever! Does he not want to get married to her?
"Oh, sorry."
I bump into someone.
"Erik?"
"Hey, Rogue."
"What are you doing at the park?"
"I needed fresh air. Kinana has been getting worse these past few days. What are you doing here? Isn't Sting's wedding today?"
"Yeah, I'm just getting him some coffee."
More like searching for him.
"You do know I can read your soul? Did Sting run away?"
"I forgot about your annoying power. Yes, he is an idiot like always and fleed."
"That will be a fun story to tell Yukino."
"Will you be there at the wedding?"
"If the groom is there."
"Great, thanks."
"How are things with Kagura?"
"Pretty good. Akira has been tough, but I love him."
"And you're still not getting married?"
"We haven't had time to talk about that."
"You've loved Kagura for years, and when she finally admits she loves you, you lose your memory of her. You have a son together, and you're only dating?"
"Yup."
"God, you're stupid."
"At least I'm not stupid enough to run away with my son."
"Wait, Sting took Weiss with him? Man, he is stupid."
"That's what I'm saying."
"Why don't you propose to Kagura?"
"We never had the time, and I still need to decide how to."
"Why not today?"
"It's Sting's wedding day. I don't want to steal his thunder."
"I've known Kagura for a while, and I know she doesn't like grand gestures. It can be a private proposal- unexpected."
"I don't even have a ring."
"Okay, here."
Erik pulled a ring box out of his pocket.
"Oh my gosh. Are you proposing to me?"
"Yes, will you marry me?"
"I can't accept this."
"I bought it for Kinana, but that's not happening. So I want you to have it."
"Dude, you're giving me a ring that costs more than my sanity. I can't take it for free."
"It's fine. I want you and Kagura to be happy."
"Okay, but you have to marry Kinana."
"Uh- I don't think so."
"Why not? At least the kingdom will know she died married to you. You can be the sexy widower."
"You have no idea how much that disturbs me."
"You know what I mean."
"Whatever. Focus on locating Sting, but take the ring. I am transferring ownership to you."
