Enemies Are Bound To Meet!

Caprice was one of the most opulent French restaurants in Port Capital and Kai chose a table near a window. He had ordered and decanted a bottle of 1982 Chateau Lafite Rothschild while anxiously waiting for jungkook.

It was 1:30pm, and way past lunch time when jungkook arrived. A tall and slender figure walked into the restaurant.

Kai went over to welcome him earnestly. He reached out his hand and greeted him respectfully. “How nice to meet you, President jeon. I am the General Manager of kim Corporation, kai.”

Jungkook ignored the hand that he reached out, and walked straight to the table.

Kai couldn’t bother to be embarrassed, as he quickly pulled out a chair for him.

Jungkook sat down and said coldly, “I only have three minutes. Be direct.”

Kai dazed for a moment, before he rapidly sat down and said fawningly, “President jeon is indeed a straightforward person!”

He immediately placed the collaboration proposal in front of jungkook respectfully, “This is the proposal I have prepared. I hope President jeon could spare some time from your schedule to have a look at it. Although our company’s profit is not good now, it is still…”

“One minute!” jungkook interrupted him coldly. He glanced at him casually. He had a nice appearance, no wonder that woman liked him. However, he had a rotten interior beneath a fine exterior. A man who used women for personal gain was the worst.

“Errr…” kai was a little embarrassed. He quickly cut through the chase and said with care, “President jeon, I hope that you could inject funds into kim Corporation.”

Jungkook smiled coldly, “Why do you think I would agree?”

Kai opened and closed his mouth. He had wanted to say some business pleasantries initially like “you could name any terms as long as you were willing to inject funds”. However, he changed his mind as he thought that jungkook wouldn’t care about these teeny, tiny profits.

Jungkook glanced at his watch and asked nonchalantly, “Ms. Lisa is your fiancee?”

Kai felt excited and quickly said, “Yes, yes. She had come to met me on that night I gave the room up to you. I didn’t expect…”

“She shielded me from a bullet.” jungkook stood up. “Let her come and find me personally if you want me to inject funds. Maybe I will consider.”

He left quickly after speaking.

Kai only regained his wits after dazing for a moment. He shouted at his back, “Then, I’ll contact you again, President jeon!”

Jungkook didn’t answer and left the restaurant straight away.

Kai left the restaurant and immediately rushed to the hospital to look for Lisa. He was thinking, “Although jungkook was insufferably arrogant, he was also a man who would repay his debts. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have brought up the shielding incident and told Lisa to look for him. Maybe he felt that the debt was owed to Lisa and not me; thus he didn’t want to talk to me.”

Kai rushed to the hospital in a hurry. He was taken aback when he saw the empty ward. He quickly got hold of a nurse and asked, “Miss Nurse, where is the patient, Ms. Lisa?”

“Miss lisa had already completed the discharge procedures this morning,” the nurse said.

“Discharge?” Kai was very surprised. “She was injured so seriously, how could she be discharged so quickly? It’s only been a few days?”
