2741 Desperate Battle against the Dragon

In a section of the Lost Light Plains there is an area called the Dark Cave. In the the Dark Cave Zero Wings main force were killing monsters as they made their way. These monsters were dark wolves and although they didn't provide a lot of exp they did give quite a few darkness attributed magic crystals. Shi Feng and the main force were heading to kill the dragon Alnar. Alnar is a tier 5 dragon and normally Shi Feng would stay as far away as possible from those beings, but Alnar is special. Alnar is a light attributed dragon and was sealed in this map saturated with darkness type mana to weaken it and strengthen the curse keeping him imprison. But that still wouldn't be enough to kill it currently, luckily Shi Feng has a master array he got from that treasure chest and the Heavenly Dragon Breath.
"Guild leader I found the secret entrance you talked about but there's two of them." Flying Shadow said in the team chat.
"Two entrances? Are any of them open?" Shi Feng asked. In his past life Demon Palace had raided this dragon and all they had to do to get to it is sacrifice ten units of seven luminaries crystals to the gate that held the dragon on the other side.
"Both of them are locked. After inspecting them one gate requires ten units of seven luminaries crystals and the other requires 30 units."
"30 units!" While it might seem that Zero Wing has a large amount of seven luminaries crystals that couldn't be further from the truth. The Shining fortress requires not only the fortress upgrade token but a sufficient amount of those crystals to upgrade and maintain it. Currently Shi Feng had only 70 units on him for emergencies.
When they got to the gate Flying was talking about Shi Feng decided to ignore the more expensive gate. The guilds main force level is far to low for this map with the average monster being level 154, who knows what monster hid behind that gate.
"We'll come back once we've become stronger, for now the raid is more important." With that said Shi Feng sacrificed ten units of seven luminaries crystals and opened the gate. Once they were inside the main force saw five huge magnificent towers in a pentagonal position that shot a beam of dark energy on each tower. Each beam combined to create chains of darkness that imprisoned a sleeping calamity that made it difficult to breath just due to its terrifying aura.

When the team looked at the dragons stats they became breathless. These were the highest attributes they ever saw on a monster and that was while it was weakened.
Shi Feng wasn't as surprised, after level 130 every ten levels is a big threshold for monsters, massively increasing their attributes, intelligence, and more. This is the games way of keeping the balance between players and monsters, and also the reason why it took so long for lowered tier players to level up at this stage of the game. He was just happy Alnar's level was suppressed. If he had been level 160 or higher they wouldn't stand a chance at all.
Shi Feng then summoned a tier 5 Demon, unfortunately he couldn't summon his personal guards due to a magic array in this room that heavily weakens NPCs. Anna and the others would be a burden here. As Shi Feng was discussing the raid plan he noticed something. The darkness type mana in the cave is weakening, and although it's very slight it is gradually speeding up. When he looked at Alnar he could sense that the dragon was getting stronger like the seal would break at any moment.
"Is he trying to free himself? Oh no this is bad but why? This never happened in the past, unless it's because of the activation of the Shining fortress." Shi Feng thought, the system would never let him get such a treasure so easily even if he had completed a legendary quest. Activating the Shining fortress must have weakened the prison trapping Alnar and once he had become free he would head to the fortress and destroy it. While it is possible for the Shining fortress to defend against a tier 5 dragon the damages would be too great to endure.
"Change of plans everyone. Once the demon obtains the agro activate your berserk skills and hit it with everything you got!" Shi Feng said urgently. This confused everyone for a raid like this they had to be careful, but then they realized something. Their guild leader only uses this type of plan when the monster in question is growing stronger.
With everyone ready the demon charged at the dragon and activated a skill, Alnar just opened one eye and sent a slash at the oncoming demon.
Tier 5 skill- Ravaging Claw
A black claw mark froze space as it shattered the demons attack and sent it flying losing over 6% of its hp. Shi Feng had the demon continue attacking the dragon and when the it held the agro the array team activated the master array, this managed to suppress Alnar attributes by nearly 15%. Not caring Shi Feng had also summoned Anna and had her use her new wind golems summon to create another barrier to suppress the dragon. Because of the array here Anna's summon barely suppressed the dragon by 3% but it was better than nothing, Shi Feng then activated miniature world and ring of brilliance and to add the cherry on top the Heavenly Dragon Breath and Dragon Rider title were in full effect. Alnars attributes were suppressed by over 40% giving them a slight chance. But the dragon was slowly getting stronger and all the suppression effects would slowly start to weaken. Everyone knew this and went all out activating their berserk skills. Most activated power of darkness which can last about 26 minutes now, while a few had their own berserk skills and while some weren't as strong as power of darkness it allowed them to save power of darkness for the end of the raid where DPS would slow down. Powerful skills and spells flew everywhere causing millions of damage. One of the biggest weaknesses of current players were the lack of tier 4 spells and skills with most having to resort to their tier 3 spells or combat techniques. Only Zhou, Summer, Violet, Fire, Aqua, and Snow, who had powerful equipment that upgraded their attacks or gave them ridiculous attributes were able to consistently cause high damage. Alnar took heavy damage but it wasn't enough, everyone of his attacks froze space and would take a life here and there, the demon would get heavily injured as well trying to save the members. The healers could barely keep it alive. Shi Feng finally joined the fray when he saw that the dragon's attention was primarily on the demon, he activated Heavenly Dragon Power and Element Requiem. He and his clone then went to work using powerful skills and techniques back to back, Shi Feng instantly topped the damage chart, in fact he was responsible for 30% of the team's overall damage. Then he had his clones use blade awakening their damage exploded. In just ten seconds Shi Feng alone took over a billion hp from Alnar. Alnar glared hatefully at Shi Feng, for some reason the towers trapping him got weaker and gave him a chance to break free, but now because of this humans suppressing him he couldn't fight to his full power, and even if he defeated these ants it will take even longer to break free.
"You ants shall pay for your crimes against me!" Alnar shouted, he then released his dragon breath destroying everything in its path. The wind golems and summoned demon instantly died, Shi Feng and his doppelgangers used blade domain creating giant stars to protect everyone. Only twelve members died. Alnar was disappointed but happy that he was less suppressed, his attack became more vigorous, and he would use crazy powerful draconic spells killing large numbers of players, Shi Feng couldn't save them all. Alnar started using his dragon breath more frequently, destroying the main force's battle formations. The battle inevitably became a slug fest, the people who don't have extra berserk skill died immediately when power of darkness ran out after nearly 28 minutes Alnar had 5% of his hp left and leaving only 22 players alive, forcing everyone to go all out
"Ahhhh take this!" Cola shouted. He had managed to upgrade his dragon slayer legacy to peak rank and gain a legacy berserk skill. This legacy berserk skill was the only unique skill the dragon slayer class provided, instead of increasing his attributes normally it actually turned his bloodline to that of a dragons, and the more he levels up the skill's level and tier the purer the dragon bloodline he would receive. In combination with power of darkness Cola's strength became tyrannical. In his twofold berserk state Cola charged at Alnar and slammed his shield on the dragons massive leg.
Tier 4 legacy skill- Draconic Crash
This managed to stun Alnar for one second and this second was enough for Summer who similarly upgraded her dragon slayer class to peak rank and was using a twofold berserk as well to finish her spell.
Tier 4 curse- Golden Thunder Judgment
A giant golden stream of lightning shot down on Alnar and the spell's power was equivalent to that of a tier 5 curse thanks to Electric Champion. While this attack did minor damage to Alnar it stunned him for a few more seconds.
Tier 4 super spell- Lava Wrath
Tier 4 legacy spell- Star Slaughter
A giant waterfall of lava poured on Alnar as five 30 meter stars combined to slap the dragon in its face. These attacks came from Violet and Zhou who had managed to upgrade their spells power to tier 5 as well thanks to their equipment. Alnars hp fell to 3% and when the dragon got infuriated and was going to unleash another dragon breath he sensed a life rating that rivaled his. Alnar turned to the left and saw a white light and as the light dimmed an angel with two pairs of wings holding two swords walked out of it. This angel was Gentle Snow who activated her legacy berserk skill and a tier 4 berserk skill she managed to obtain from a dark gold treasure chest she found. In her two fold berserk state she started to charge up the strongest skill she had available to her. This skill could only be used when her legacy berserk skill was activated. Alnar was not about to let her do what she wanted he went straight for Gentle Snow ignoring all the attacks coming for him but Aqua Rose had finished her spell. Aqua using her two fold berserk as well did her strongest spell.
Tier 4 super spell- Sea Dragons Roar.
Three giant dragon heads made of water appeared behind her and did what looked like a breath attack, the attack then combined into one destroying and freezing space. Wherever it passed the image of what looked like shattered mirrors appeared in the air. Alnar countered with his own dragon breath and when the two attacks collided they cancelled each other out and the resulting explosion shook the entire cave. Alnar managed to survive but dread was seen on his face for Snow had finished charging up her attack.
Her swords merged into one and turned into a wing. The image of a valkyrie with three sets of wings flew behind her and as both Gentle Snow and the Valkyrie slashed their swords a huge slash of white and purple light flew faster then the eye can see right for Alnar.
Tier 4 legacy skill- Higher Order Reverence
This is Snow's most powerful attack at tier 4 allowing her to deliver a deadly slash and transcend her current angel ranking. Currently when she uses her legacy berserk skill she's an elite angel with two sets wings and when she use Higher Order Reverence she has the power of a high angel with three pairs of wings.
Alnar knew this attack can kill him so he used his strongest defensive skill.
Tier 5 draconic skill- Black Diamond
Alnar's scales turned black and shiny. This skill is an invulnerability skill that can even defend against the gods divine arts. When the attack hit Alnar he flew back to a wall still with his 3% hp but his skill was gone. Everyone despaired their berserk skills was almost up and they all used their strongest attacks, they would never be able to climb the mountain that was Alnar's massive hp. When all hope was lost the entire cave was filled with flames. These flames were calm like a calming sea and all the mana in the cave was being focused on one person. This was Shi Feng who was preparing the strongest holy devour. When the few members alive saw him their hope was rekindled and they went at Alnar one more time, sacrificing themselves to buy Shi Feng just an extra second more. They had managed to take off 1% of the dragons hp but now only 14 players remained alive and only those with their twofold berserk active could deal significant damage. After three seconds Shi Feng who activated blade saint power and forcing himself to tier 5 opened his eyes and activating divine providence and gale domain he flew like a laser at Alnar
"Die!" With a shout Shi Feng swung Crown Sword
Mana Technique- Holy Devour
Alnar was not going to take this lying down and unleashed his dragon breath. Before the breath attack could hit Shi Feng Cola jumped in his way taking the full brunt of it. This allowed Shi Feng to reach Alnar's neck and strike. With his sword disappearing a thin line of red the width of a knife graced the cave and extended to the giant tower and even the cave ceiling. Shi Feng landed and looked up at the frozen Alnar. Everyone didn't move for a time. After a moment of silence Alnar's neck slowly slid off his body and with a thud the dragon head fell to the ground with his hp reaching zero.
