Fire Dragon Empire, Burning Flare City

As one of the Four Great Empires in the game, the Fire Dragon Empire is home to a few of the very rare Main ranked cities in the game.

The prosperity of an empire's main ranked city is superior to that of a kingdom's capital city. Burning Flare City happens to rank in the top 5 of the empire.

The city is also home and ruled by none other than Pride Empire, a veteran Super Guild and one of the strongest guilds in the empire.

Inside the main conference room of the guild's headquarters, a depressing and tense atmosphere not befitting the Super Guild's prestige lingered in the air.

SLAM!

A heroic old man slammed his fist down on the table in frustration as he listened to the report from an assassin. "Dammit! We already have enough on our plate as it is, now we have to deal with this!" The mana in the room roiled and space began to darken due to the heroic old man's rage.

A few people in the room started to shutter at this, the assassin nearly collapsed from feeling the old man's aura.

"Old Claw, calm down, being angry right now won't help anybody. We need to properly assess the situation in order to continue," a beautiful woman with an amazing figure and twin blood red swords hanging from her waist said to the old man.

Hearing this the heroic old man calmed his aura and the other occupants in the room relaxed as well. The beautiful woman's voice was extremely soothing to them.

Seeing this the woman smiled, "Yang, please continue," she said to the assassin.

"Yes madam. Based on our observations, the NPCs growth rate shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. They frequently go to hunt monsters near the city and take quests from Adventure Association and War God's Temple. The leveling speed of our tier 3 and below members have decreased by 70% on average because of this. Some have even died due to conflicts with the NPCs.

Hearing this immediately put a sour expression on everyone. Levels were the base to everything in God's Domain. Before you only needed to worry about conflicts with other players and dangerous quests when risking losing levels.

Now NPCs are a much bigger problem when losing levels. Players have long learned not to provoke NPCs for no good reason. The potential losses were just too harsh. Now it's almost unavoidable.

"That's not all." The assassin continued. "We discovered traces of NPCs actually investigating our guild towns and cities, almost as if they plan to invade them."

"Investigating us?!"

"They might raid our guild cities?!"

Rounds of gasps filled the conference room. As a Super Guild, Pride Empire was confident in protecting the territory. Not even the Five Great Super Guilds would be able to take any one of their towns and cities.

But they would be helpless against an NPC invasion. Currently the average combat ready NPCs were at the peak of tier 2 and able to contend with ordinary tier 3 players.

In a NPC invasion force, many of these NPCs would be tier 3 and led by a few tier 4 powerhouses. A tier 5 NPC might join if the guild were unlucky. How were they supposed to stop that?

"Guild Leader, what should we do? We're currently tight on funds and our position in the empire is in a very sensitive state as it is."

"I suggest agreeing to Mythology's proposal. Once we get back on our feet we can easily pay back what we owe and survive this upcoming storm."
