(Sorry for the long wait guys. I was struck with a fever but not to worry I'm all better. I have a lot of catching up to do so I'll try to release some extra chapters this weekend.)

Fairy Country, Burning Sands Vally

In a distant map, flaming sands blew about the surroundings causing the air to heat up to unbearable temperatures. Without at least 300 points in fire resistance, no normal living creature can possibly survive the scorching heat and fire, causing the desolate area to look gloomy and filled with an aura of death.

Despite the terrible conditions a 200 man team waited in the luxurious tent not bothered by the environment.

Even though the tent looked small the inside was easily the size of a soccer field. The 200 experts in it weren't ordinary players either. Each one of them was a Demi Human, like half elves, half orcs, and more.

This was none other than the Secret Pavilion's Scorched Legion, one of the Pavilion's trump card legions. Each member of the legion are geniuses from the Secret Pavilion's recruits and personally nurtured by Scorching Shine, an absolute monster in the Secret Pavilion.

"Commander, all the preparations are complete. We can set out at any time," a young half lion kin man named Falling Wind said respectfully to the well built half elf before him.

"We still have to wait for the assistance the guild has sent us, let's wait a bit more" Scorching Shine said.

The young lion kin gave out a sigh as he said, "but commander we've already been waiting for a long time. Trying to get into this area isn't easy either so we might miss our window. Why don't we just go on ahead and let them catch up to us? It won't hinder our operations."

Scorching Shine shook his head. "We can't do that this time. This operation is instrumental to the guild as a whole and we can't afford any risk."

"Commander, we can handle anything that comes at us, adding a few extra people would hardly change anything," Falling Wind said confidently.

The Scorched Legion is composed of geniuses that distinguished themselves from all the other geniuses in the Secret Pavilion. More than 20 of them had reached tier 4 and everyone else has a pretty good chance of passing their promotion exams as well. While over 20 tier 4 experts in a legion might be lower than other superpowers' trump card legions, every single player in the Scorched legion belongs to a neutral race. Their promotion exams are naturally much more difficult than human players.

Scorching Shine gave a bitter smile and responded to the youth. "You won't be saying that if you read these investigation reports." He then proceeded to hand Fallen Wind a document.

When Fallen Wind read it, his eyes nearly jumped from his sockets. "A 20% chance success rate! It's not like we're doing a legendary quest, aren't the higher ups looking down on us too much!"

"At first I thought the same, but it was determined that we have the best chances in the entire guild. Some of the other legions and teams don't even have a 10% chance success rate. But with the assistance they have sent us, our chance increases by at least 15%."

"15%" Fallen Wind was appalled. The person the guild was sending must be very capable if he could match an entire legion by themselves. The Scorched legion has Scorching Shine, one of the strongest players in the Secret Pavilion. At the very least this support has to be as strong as ScorchingShine and his usefulness in quest has to be superior to a team of players.

As the two were chatting they heard the flapping of wings near them. Coming out of the tent to check what it was, they looked towards the sky to see a giant 20 meter light blue winged beast that had a frosty mist and silent lightning emitting from its majestic body.
