Castiel observed as I drank a cup of coffee and placed it back on the table. "You remember?"

I nodded my head "It all came back once I saw him..."

November 27, 1983. I had just turned nine. It was my birthday. My brother, Mulder, and sister, Samantha, and I were playing Stratego, my parents were visiting the Galbrands. I was able to get my parents to allow me to watch Doctor Who. I was intrigued by the show until I heard arguing. It was enough to cause Fox and Samantha to stop arguing.

"How can you do this to our family?!" My mother cried

"I'm not doing it! It's not just me. These are orders are coming down from..." Dad explained

"Mama!" I cried only for Mulder to drag me down.

"Shh. They'll hear you," Mulder told me

"I'm afraid, Fox." Samantha whispered "I'm afraid.

I looked up at Castiel "But I was nine...all the others were six months old and mothers killed, my mother didn't die on that night. Unless..."

I watched Cigarette Smoking Man watch me as I played with Mulder outside on the grass.

He watched again as I swung on the rope swing in the backyard before falling into the water.

The Cigarette Man was behind my father as he recorded a home movie of me dressed up as the Fourth Doctor and Fox dressed up as Spock. Laughing as I tripped over the gigantic scarf I wore.

He placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder as Mulder and I spoke to the police about Samantha's disappearance.

"The Cigarette Man," I realized "When I was little, I thought his eyes were yellow because he smoked too much, that's what my mom always told me when I asked about it. He's been keeping his eye on me ever since I was born," I looked down at my now cold cup of coffee "Does he have anything to do with...Samantha's disappearance?"

Castiel shook his head "As far as we can tell those events do not correlate with what the Yellow-Eyed Demon had planned,"

I nodded my head and looked back at Dean's sleeping form. "And whatever the Yellow-Eyed Demon did to me...that's what saved me from Lilith's explosion?"

Castiel nodded "Are you going to tell them?"

I shook my head and looked back at Castiel "Let's take it one problem at a time. I still don't know what exactly the demon did to me, just that I have abilities..."

Castiel raised an eyebrow, so I made a show of moving the mug in front of him.

"Ta-da," I said sarcastically.

Castiel looked at the other bed, which hadn't been slept in, and I followed his gaze.

"Where's Sam?" I realized

"We know what Azazel did to Sam. What we don't know is why-what his endgame is. He went to great lengths to cover that up. Along with covering up you,"

It was my turn to quirk an eyebrow "But you seemed to be the one with all the answers about what's going on with my life,"

"The explosion woke something up within you." Castiel admitted "It wasn't until after the event that we took notice,"

I nodded my head and remained silent as Dean woke up and looked over at the empty bed and to where Castiel and I were having our conversation.

"Where's Sam?" Dean asked

"425 Waterman," Castiel replied

Dean grabbed his keys and his jacket before taking note of how Castiel and I were sitting across from each other. "You coming, Max?"

"Yeah," I replied, clearing my throat as I grabbed my jacket.

"Sam is headed down a dangerous road, Maxima, and we're not sure where it leads. So stop it. Or we will,"

I nodded in understanding and followed Dean to the car.
