As luck would have it (bondi rescue fanfic)

Couple's day

" hmmm lemme think ...." I said aloud

I looked up to Jesse after a few seconds " surfing?"

" surfing" he smiled and nodded

We went into the bedroom to get changed into boardies and bikinis, I sadly slipped off my ring and placed it back in the box, I didn't want it to get damaged surfing, Before walking down to the garage and pulling out 2 boards. I had adopted one of Koby old boards now and me and Jesse had been surfing regularly, during lunch breaks and days off, so I had improved vastly.

We walked down to maroubra beach and ran towards the surf. We dumped our tops on the floor before racing in and throwing our boards down into the surf and paddling out. I straddled the board as Jesse had the first wave. All the waves were pretty good today, 4-5ft for most waves.

Jesse got his wave before paddling over to me, " go on babe" he smirked with a look of 'beat that' on his face. I looked behind me to see a decent set rolling in , I paddled quickly and let the wave lift me up, I turned the board and went along the wave, I brought the board up the wave before bringing it back down and repeating. I dropped back down and paddled over to Jesse

" I think I've improved " I smirked kissing him, tasting the salt on his lips. I felt Jesse's arms slide round my waist as we deepened the kiss, the next thing I knew, I was pushed into the water off my board!

I quickly resurfaced, coughing and spluttering. Jesse was just wetting himself with laughter, so I grabbed his foot and pulled him in next to me. I dunked his head under the water jokingly, Jesse however grabbed my sides and started tickling me, I pushed him away in peals of laughter. He swam closer to me and pulled us close together. I wrapped my legs around him under the water and wrapped my arms over his shoulders, I kissed him again, entwining my fingers in his hair and pulling him even closer to me.

We got back on the boards and carried on surfing for a hour, it was so much fun just to be out with my fiancée having a laugh. As we were walking home Jesse spoke up

" wanna go out tonight?" he slid his free arm round my waist

" if that's ok, that would be brilliant" I kissed his cheek as we walked up the street. When we arrived back at the apartment, we dumped the boards in the garage before going up to the apartment.

" Where are we going to go?" I asked as we opened the door

" I don't know?, you got any ideas?" Jesse asked

" no but just nowhere posh please, just somewhere casual" I asked

" I have a few ideas" he smiled as I walked into the shower. I had a wash and scrubbed off all the salt and sand from surfing. Stepping out the shower I wrapped a large towel around me and put one in my hair as well. I walked into the bedroom to see Jesse on the bed scrolling through his phone

" they see me scrolling" I sang jokingly walking over to the wardrobe, pushing Jesse's leg out the way as I did so. I opened the doors and started flicking through the clothes until I found a open cut jack daniels shirt and some denim shorts. I placed them down on the bed and put on my underwear before putting the clothes on. I took my hair out the towel and combed it through, i really needed a trim, my hair was down past my boobs slightly when straight, and my side fringe was doing my head in! I twisted my hair up in a bun and left it whilst starting on my make up. I opened my make up bag and grabbed my foundation, as i opened the bottle lid, Jesse spoke up

" babe, you don't need that"

" need what?"

" all that make up, your beautiful without it" Jesse swung himself up from the bed, stood behind the chair i was sitting in which was in front of the mirror. He leant down and rested his head on my shoulder and wrapped his arms around me. " your stunning" he murmured kissing my exposed shoulder before moving up my neck to my lips." love you" he said kissing me once again before going into the bathroom. I put the foundation down and instead used a little concealer, some clear mascara and lip balm. I took my hair out the bun and gave it a little shake and twisting sections so it dried wavy and messy. finally I slipped on my engagement ring.

I sat on the bed and scrolled through twitter and instagram to fill time, I felt like doing a random selfie for some reason, so I stood up and got a full body picture in the mirror. But, as I snapped the picture, Jesse came out the bathroom in a towel and you could see his reflection in the mirror. I quickly posted it with the caption photobombed by a semi naked lifeguard... enjoy girls ;) Jesse hadn't realised i was taking a picture so he was oblivious to the whole thing....

He got ready before we walked out the door and got into the car. " so where are we going?" I asked excitedly

" you'll see" he smirked

We drove for a little bit before pulling up outside a fish and chip shop  " you wanted casual, how about some of these on tama beach?"

" perfect" I smiled getting out the car, I held Jesse's hand as we walked in

" what do you want?" he asked as we opened the door to the smell of hot chips and vinegar

" um medium sausage and chips please" I smiled. We waited in the line before finally getting to the front

" hi mate one sausage and chips and some chilli chicken wings and chips please" Jesse said getting his wallet out.

" is that all?" the cashier asked

" yep"

" that's $8.40 thanks mate" he said as Jesse handed him the money. We moved to the side as we waited for the food. We watched as he bagged up the food before handing it to us

" thank you" we said before  walking out the shop, I placed the bag at my feet as we drove to tamarama beach. The smell soon filled the car

" shit that smells great!" I laughed as my stomach rumbled. It didn't take long for us to get to tama beach, we got out the car and walked over to the rocks. It was about 6pm so there was still people on the beach, there was one major flaw with that though.

We had stupidly forgotten that the boys would still be working. And out of all 30 lifeguards who worked there was 2 boys who came flying down to meet us. Maxi and Harrison

" HI GUYS!" we heard before 2 bodies came skidding in front of us

" hey boys" I laughed

" whats in the bag?" Harrison asked

" dinner "

" smells great"

" yes is does... that's why we bought it " I laughed as I pulled out the containers of food. I passed Jesse his chicken wings and I opened up my sausage and chips. Before I could even pick up my fork a hand snaked out and grabbed some chips

" HEY!" I yelled as they both turned and ran back up to the tower. I just sighed and started eating the delicious food.

when we had both finished we were stuffed and I had a food baby going on! I lay back into Jesse as we watched the sun set around us.

It was a perfect end to a perfect day.

I'm so sorry for leaving you for a while, I haven't had the motivation to write recently so I am sorry :(
