As luck would have it (bondi rescue fanfic)

thief on the beach

The next weekend at bondi was particularly busy, it was a short holiday for the schools so there were lots of kids down and the sun was out.  

I was down near 3rd ramp when chappo came on over the radio " tower to all guys on the beach, there's been a reported bag theft, were just trying to spot the guys now but just keep your eyes out for weird behaviour"

I started scanning the beach, I was alone on the quadbike so I started to just keep my eye out. I then noticed 2 teenage boys acting oddly to the left of me " hey chap, are these the guys here?, to the left of me there moving up the beach"

They had 4 bags on them and they seemed to be scouting around a bit, it just wasn't normal behaviour. They began to walk up to the top of the beach " hey simba?, just follow them for a bit would you, they look like the guys according to the witness"

" alright" I said as I began driving up behind them slowly, They didn't notice me they were looking through the bags, I noticed one of the boys pull out a phone and wallet before he dumped the bag on the sand. I picked it up as I drove past and put it on the back of the quadbike. The boys were nearing the end of the beach now so I sped up a bit to catch them

" Simba get them over there the guys!" chappo said over the radio

They had walked up the ramp and there was quite a crowd, I knew it would cause a commotion if I took the quadbike up there. I floored it up the sand before hitting the kill switch and jumping off the quabike, I set off after the boys managing to weave my way around the people. But they saw me coming and set off at a sprint off towards  the bondi pavilion

they ran off over the grass towards the back, I sprinted after them dodging people and jumping over the small walls and hedges. one of the boys started to fall back whilst the other ran off around the surf club. I lunged forward and grabbed the boy by his shirt

" why you running mate?" I asked breathlessly

" were late for the bus" he gasped

" really?, now whats in the bag?"

" nothing there my mates?"

" really 3 bags for 2 guys and you dropped one at the beach as well, it seems like quite a load for a trip to the beach" I said " right come with me were going to the tower", I radioed chappo " simba to tower, hey chap I got one but the other managed to get away, I'm bringing him to the tower now"

" ah great, some of the boys are looking for the other one, yeah bring him up here" chappo said

He began to struggle to get away so I tightened the grip on his shirt and walked him to the promenade. as we were walking to the tower he began twisting so he could try get away. He was about 15/16 but was pretty strong and was slightly taller then me so he obviously thought he could get away easily.

as we neared the tower he started to become more aggressive towards me, He was pulling away and swearing, obviously scared of the thought of the police

" f**king let me go it was my mates bag!" he yelled twisting around so his back was to the tower

the next thing I knew he had grabbed my shirt and had his fist raised at me, I leaned my head back slightly

" you wouldn't hit a girl would you?" I asked hoping that by playing the I'm a girl card would help

He didn't reply as he moved his fist back slightly, he didn't however see Jesse and whippet come running out the tower. Whippet pulled me away as Jesse grabbed the boy's arms and pulled them behind his back, The boy turned around quickly as he pushed off Jesse's grip. But he soon stopped when he saw Jesse bare torso and all the tattoo's and muscles, he had obviously heard of the bra boys!

" you really didn't want to do that" Jesse said, anger rising in his voice. Jesse dragged the boy into the tower and I followed behind with whippet. A small crowd had gathered and they cheered as we took him in the tower, Max ashford and jake soon turned up with the other boy

Jesse sort of threw the boy down on a chair and jake and whippet sat on either side of them. " I'm gonna get the quadbike" I said

" I'll come with you" Jesse said

we began walking down the beach, there were people around so we couldn't hold hands or hug

" are you alright babe" he asked

" are you kidding that was awesome!" I exclaimed,  Jesse looked at me in shock

" what you were just threatened by a kid, he nearly hit you!"

" yeah but it was so much fun chasing him!, leaping over the walls and small hedges!" I exclaimed, Jesse just looked at me confused, " I always wanted to be a copper when I was younger so that gave me a cop experience!"

Jesse just looked at me before his expression changed, he then started smiling

" what?" I asked

" just imagining you in a cop uniform" he said closing his eyes, I pushed him lightly and blushed. We climbed aboard the quadbike and drove back to the tower. The cops had arrived and they wanted a statement from me

I handed them the bag and told them the story. The boys gave me evils as I did but I didn't care, they deserved punishment for what they did

as they took the boys away one of the police men asked if I wanted to press assault charges

" no, there was no contact and I'm sure there going to be in enough trouble anyway!" 

They all thanked us and walked out, I turned back to the boys

" you do the crime you pay the fine!" I said remembering what Maxi said when they caught the bag thief in season 7

the rest of the day was pretty quiet, just a few rescues for me down at backpackers. Driving home Jesse remembered something

" so you wanted to be a copper?"

" yeah for a while when I was 14, I went to visit the mounted police and was hooked, I was never brave enough to take it on though, but I really was considering it when I was 17"

" do you still want to be one now?"

" no, I'm a lifeguard now and I love it"

" but would you still wear the uniform?"

" Jesse, where's this going?"

he smiled at me cheekily " you know that box of stuff I got you for your birthday, did you have a proper look through it, like at the bottom?"

it suddenly clocked, the outfits at the bottom of the box

I winked at him

I have never seen someone drive so fast to get home.

2, i made a dick of myself in psychology today. our new teacher said he was from the gold coast.. in Britain. BUT me being the Straya obsessed person i am, instantly sit up and whisper to my friend " he's aussie!" even though he had a british accent ....*facepalm* THEN we were playing a game... which game you ask...... 2 truths 1 lie...... me being me couldn't help daydreaming off about my story and then started giggling about Jesse and Jorja ;P then in german were doing holidays and w can chose any location to describe ...... I'm doing bondi! but my friends were looking at me like " your doing bondi arnt you?" /... everybody knows of my obsession

if i hear the words Jesse or bondi i just end up smiling and doing the heart and breath stop thing you when you like something .... god i need help

also I'm a little obsessed with maxi's video of him singing with Harrison... so much so i know the dance moves...... The end one is the best.. The horses by Daniel Braithwaite go check it out!
