As luck would have it (bondi rescue fanfic)

snake on the beach

I apologise for the extreme sh*tness of this chapter now

it was a cloudy day the next day and not much was going on. Chappo and jake were down patrolling along the beach and the rest of us were in the tower when we heard a faint noise, it sounded like a scream!

we looked out to see the rhino flooring it up to the tower. me, Jesse and maxi all ran out the tower down the steps

"  was that you?" maxi asked as chappo pulled up

" THERE'S A F**KING SNAKE JUST DOWN THERE!"  he yelled before running up the tower steps shortly followed by Jake

we ran up after them, " where was it?" I asked

" just down right in front of the tower on the waters edge, it looked like a sea snake!" chappo said visibly shuddering

Jesse grabbed a box and headed down to the waters edge, I followed on with him, I ran into the tunnel and grabbed some hardwear gloves before jumping in the rhino.

we drove down to the waters edge " where chap?"

" keep going along, it was on the sand" chappo said over the radio, me and Jesse were the only ones brave enough to go down and deal with it.

we saw the snake and drove over to it. we climbed out the rhino and stood back watching it, it looked pretty tired as it wasnt moving. Jesse grabbed the box and we discussed our plan of attack!

" I'll just scoop up the sand underneath it and hopefully it will go in" Jesse said walking over to it. He placed the box next to the snake and went to scoop it up with the sand. As he dug the box into the sand the snake turned quickly towards Jesse and lunged at him, Jesse managed to jump up and away from the snake and ran back to me, squealing.

after I realised that he hadn't been hurt I began laughing hysterically at his squeal. " oh wow Jess!, that was brilliant!" i laughed wiping the tears from my eyes.

" well go on then you get it!" he exclaimed jokingly

I grabbed the heavy duty gloves and slipped them on, I walked up behind the snake and before it could move I grabbed it by its head and placed it in the box.

Jesse stood there in shock as i put the lid  on the box and picked it up and placed it in the back of the rhino

" shut your mouth jess you may catch a fly!" I joked walking over to him and kissing him.

" you.. you just picked up a venomous snake!" 

" yeah,so, snakes dont bother me!"

the radio buzzed and some shocked voices came on " did... Jorja just pick up a snake?" it sounded like jake

" yeah, I'm bringing it up now!" I said getting in the rhino with Jesse. we drove up to the tower and I carried the box up the stairs, a few of the boys were filming me as I walked in " its not everyday you catch a snake at bondi beach!" I said remembering the line Jesse said when he caught a snake last year and maxi put it on instagram

I placed it on by the window and sat down, none of the boys came and sat next to me and I noticed chappo was standing as far away from me as physically possible

" wheres kerrbox when you need him!" I laughed, peering back into the box. All the boys shot back when I opened the lid to look in. Shortly after, a animal controll officer turned up and took the snake away to release it back into the correct enviroment.

I took the gloves and box back under the tunnel. as i was walking out I noticed a long tube of rubber, I suddenly had the perfect idea! I walked back upstairs and noticed maxi was at the back of the tower by the bed, I signalled him and showed him the rubber tube before pointing at chappo and my neck. He got the idea and gave me a thumbs up before we sneaked  behind him.

I lightly placed the tube on his neck and wriggled it slightly.

Chappo screamed and shot up from his chair, his arms flailing around as the rubber dropped to the floor, everybody in the tower erupted into laughter and gave me high fives as chappo realised what had happened

" you mother**ker!" he exclaimed sitting back down in embarrassment " I'm gonna get you back for that one!"

I looked down to maxi who had actually fallen over with laughter, " you alright max!" I laughed

he nodded as he was laughing to much to speak. The rest of the boys were also in tears as I fist pumped the air in victory.
