Back where I belong

" urhh Jet lag!" I groaned as we walked down the promenade

" tired?" Jesse joked as I swatted his arm

" I have no clue where my brain thinks we are, it saying I should be sleeping now" I moaned as we walked into the tower. Hoppo had needed emergency cover this morning so we had to be up and at work early.

" MORNING!" we heard a voice shout, it was maxi

" morning" I mumbled walking over to the fridge and grabbing a red bull

" jet lag?" H asked

" you bet" I laughed swigging the drink quickly. After a few minutes I felt a lot better " woo lets go!" I laughed.

There wasn't many people down today so we were in the tower most of the morning. I was looking out the binoculars when I noticed a person walk into the rip, before I could even blink they were being swept out

" Backpackers!" I shouted jumping up from my seat and flying down the stairs with deano behind me. He jumped into the drivers seat and began flooring it down to backpackers rip as I stripped out my shirt. Before we even pulled up properly I had jumped out and was grabbing the board, I ran towards the water and threw the board down before jumping on and paddling out quickly. I got to the woman quickly and pulled her to the board

" you ok?" I asked

she nodded " thank you" she gasped before climbing on the board. I got her back to shore quickly before she thanked me and walked off back to her towel. I dragged the board back to the rhino

" yeah go Jorja!" deano exclaimed high fiving me when I reached him

" back where I belong!" I laughed as we drove back up to the tower. I walked into the tower to be greeted by cheers, " still got it!" I laughed as I went over to my seat " god that felt good to be back in the water!" I said to Jesse

we stayed in the tower for another hour. I was looking around when I noticed someone running over to the tower, I got up and opened the door

" you ok?" I asked

" there's someone being badly beaten up behind the pavilion and I don't know what to do!" he exclaimed breathlessly

" someone's getting a beating!" I shouted to the boys up at the front before grabbing the boy and running off with him " where are they?" I shouted as we ran, Jesse and beardy were running slightly behind me as I sprinted with the boy.

We rounded the corner and I saw a gang of 3 boys beating up another boy, they were kicking and punching him badly whilst the boy tried to shield his face. common sense went out the window as I sprinted into the crowd

" HEY!" I shouted as I ran in-between the gang and the boy on the floor, I pushed one of the boys off him whilst grabbing another ones hand that was about to swing into the boys face again, I pushed them all away and the boys all ran off leaving the boy bleeding on the floor. Jesse and beardy passed me and ran off after the boys. " are you ok?" I asked the boy on the ground as he sat up, blood spurted from his wounds as he shook his head " come on, lets get you cleaned up" I said putting my arm around him and helping him stand before helping him to the tower.

I opened the door and sat him on the bed before grabbing some gauze and saline solution to clean the wounds

" thank you" he whispered

" its ok, can I ask why they were hurting you?" I said quietly

he looked down to the floor and I saw a tear drop to the ground " its.. its be because I'm gay" he said, his voice quivering.

Anger rose within me but I managed to stop it bursting out " because your gay?" I said, he nodded. I took a deep breath and starting cleaning the wounds " homophobia's still a thing then?" I asked 

" yeah" he winced as I applied pressure to one of the gashes

" for gods sake, cant people just accept it!" I burst out " people should be able to be who they want to be, not having to live in fear of something like this!" I grabbed a bandage and wrapped it around the gash on his leg before moving up to his head wound " shouldn't people's happiness be the main thing, it doesn't matter what your sexual preferences are!" I managed to stop the bleeding on his head and wrapped the bandage round it, " homophobia is the one thing that really pisses me off" I said whilst tom giggled

H popped his head over the counter " everything ok?"

" yeah sure H, any sign of the boys yet?" I asked

" yeah, they grabbed the boys and luckily there were some cops just around the corner so there heading back now with a cop for a statement off, sorry whats your name?" H asked the boy

" Tom" he said

" well, they'll want a statement if that's ok?"

he nodded and I carried on cleaning him up. The cop arrived with Jesse and Beardy, Tom stood up to go off with the cop for the statement, but, before he left he turned to me and gave me a hug

" thank you" he mumbled

" its ok, and listen if you ever need to talk come and find me here" I said letting him go. The door swung shut behind him and I turned round to see Jesse and Beardy staring at me

" what?" I asked

" you just ran straight into a fight and broke it up" Beardy exclaimed " what happened to the old Jorja?" he joked

" she was left behind in England" I laughed walking over to Jesse and planting a kiss on his cheek " told you I was a new woman, bit more maroubra in me, less careful, more careless" I said winking at Jesse before we resumed our seats

" why were they beating him?" Deano asked

" cause' he was gay, sh*t got real when he said that's was why, one thing I can't stand is homophobia, gets right on my t*ts that" I said

" well hopefully he wont have to deal with it anymore" H pointed out. we all murmured in agreement and settled back down to watch the water.

I was back in the place that I loved and couldn't be happier.

sozzles this is shit, had literally zilch ideas for todays chapter so made this up on the spot :P

also homophobia is something close to my heart as a few of my friends are either gay, bi or lesbian and there have been times when I have felt like Jorja!

made a dick of myself AGAIN  today..... hot boy is singing " her name was lola" .... Me " SHE WAS A SHOWGIRL!" ........ cue weird looks fml .........
