You can say me and Mason are really close. We're like the three musketeers, except we're not three but two. But i think you know what i mean. We're pretty close, even though i'm a year older than him. I have his back and he has mine.
"So i met this guy and you have to meet him." Mason tells me as i was putting my books into my locker.
I gave him the are you kidding me look and closed my locker.
"Seriously?" I asked and payed full attention to him.
"Yes i am serious. I really like this guy." He admitted and i sighed.
"Alright i'll meet him." He grins and tells you goodbye to go get the guy.
What Mason always does whenever he meets a guy, he wants me to see if they're okay. If they're good for him. Basically If Mason "crush" got my approval he'll date them. Which i don't know why he does it. But i don't mind. I want my Mason boy in a good relationship with someone who's not going to hurt  him.
You were walking to your class when your phone beeped. You grabbed your phone and It was a text from Mason.
Meet me at the coffee shop after school. I want you to meet him xx
I laughed at this boy. Whenever Mason likes someone, he likes them hard.
Alright alright, see you then! Xx
I put my phone away and walked to my class. Wanting school to be over so i can meet lover boy crush.

When i arrived at the coffee shop i saw Mason standing outside waiting for me. Or maybe his crush.
"Hey you." I greeted him and gave him a hug.
"Hi y/n. How do i look?" He said nervously.
"Oh Mason." I chuckle and shake my head slightly. "You look fabulous. You don't have to impress this guy. He has to impress you and me."
"He already impressed me, i really like him you know." He tells me and grabs his phone to see if he has gotten any messages.
"Really, i didn't know you liked him." I sarcastically said and giggled at his reaction. "On a serious note, i'll go inside and find us a spot meanwhile you stay here and wait for him." I instructed and made my way to the door.
I got inside and found us a spot near the windows. "Hi can i take your order?" Someone asked me and i looked up. Wait what? Taking my order in a coffee shop?
"Take my order? What do you mean by that..." I asked the girl standing infront of me. I looked at the tag name, "Katie."
"Yes, we came up with this new thing to take people's order. Our clients can sit down and enjoy while we ask them what they want. Like a restaurant but instead of huge meals it's just coffee and snacks." She explained and got her notepad.
"So want anything?" Katie asked me and i nodded.
"I'd like a black coffee with extra sugar please. And maybe some cookies? If you have any." I ordered and gave her a small smile which she returned. She walked away leaving you alone at the table.
"We're back, hi." I hear Mason say and i looked up to see him and this guy that doesn't seem to friendly.
"Uh hi, I'm y/n." I introduced myself and shook his hand. "And you are?" I asked him.
"Lucas." He simply said and sat down next to Mason. Okay weird.
"So Lucas, i heard you moved here a couple weeks ago. How do you like Beacon Hills?" I asked him trying to have a conversation with him.
"It's okay i guess." He shrugs and turned around to talk to Mason.
"Uhm, okay." I said and took a sip of my cup.
"Lucas is kind of shy, y/n." Mason whispered in my ears and i rolled my eyes. More like an jerk. This guy has something about him that makes me want to go bleg.
"So Lucas, do you like Mason?" I asked him and Mason looked at me as if i was crazy for askin that question.
"Ofcourse i do. I wouldn't be here right?" He sassed and rolled his eyes.
"Well i just want to know who he's dealing with. But i found out enough already." I said and got up from the chair to walk outside.
"Excuse me." I heard Mason say to Lucas. When i was outside Mason stopped me.
"What was that?!" Mason yelled and i flinched, not expecting a tone like tht from him.
"He's an asshole, Mason. I definitely don't approve of him. Find someone better but not this asshole Lucas." I argued back.
"He's not an asshole. He's a really nice guy and i like him so much. I'm not letting you ruin that." He exclaimed and glared at you as if you've done something wrong.
"Not an asshole? Did you see how rudely he talked to me? I have this bad vibe from him." I sighed knewing there's no point in fighting with him.
"Maybe because you're the one asking all these lame question, maybe you're the asshole." He spat and walked back inside. Ouch that hurt. He surely didn't mean it. I grabbed my keys and walked to the car so i can go home.
A month later.
Mason didn't listen to me, he ended up dating that asshole named Lucas. Lucas wasn't even near to be a Prince Charming. And Mason deserves a Prince Charming. I'm not going to tell him anything unless he wants me to. It's his life, his choices.
I was cleaning the kitchen when i heard the doorbell ring. Who would it be at this hour. I sighed and walked toward the doors. I opened it and found Mason standing there with tears streaming down his face.
"Oh Mason, what's wrong?" I asked and brought him inside the house. The both of you sat down on the couch.
"Tell me who do i have to kill?" I joked trying to cheer him up.
"No one." He chuckles and looked down at his shoes again.
"Well what's wrong? There must be a reason you're crying." You told him and stroke his back, trying to calm him down.
"I went to the club a few minutes ago to meet Lucas. A-and when i arrived i saw him kiss another guy." He explained and let out a sob. Seeing Mason like this is breaking my heart.
"And you know i really like him. God he was so nice with me. You were right i should've listen to you." He sighed and shook his head as if he couldn't believe it.
"You're going to say i told you so now, huh?"
"No i'm not going to say that. Because it was your decision to date him. Sure i knew he's an asshole, but you liked him and he made you happy for a while. So i'm not going to say that." I told him and gave him a sad smile.
"But what i am going to say is that he truly is an asshole and he doesn't know what he's missing out on. You're one of the sweetest guy i have ever met, Mason. There's plenty of fish in the sea. Lucas isn't the one, but you'll find your Prince Charming one day." You reassured him.
"Now how about you stay there and i'll get the popcorn and a movie." I instructed him and got up to put one of the dvd in.
"You truly know how to cheer me up." Mason said and wiped his face.
"Thank you, for everything. And for being here for me."
"That's what best friends are for, right?" I giggled and sat down next to him.
