Juli: I think he went on break five minutes ago
Erica: shit, how long is his break?
Juli: about 15 mins, why are you asking for lucas. Is he in some sort of trouble?
Erica: no, I'm just looking for my wife.
Juli: wife*turning up her face*
Erica:yes wife, you got a problem?
Juli: no, mam
Erica: good
Erica sat down waiting for lucas to come out from his break. We tried calling cyn phone, but it just kept going to voicemail. Just as she was about to leave Lucas walked in.
Lucas: what now *shaking his head.*
Erica: look, have you seen my wife.
Lucas: yes and I hope it was the last time.
Erica: look, you little Bitch. You cause a whole lot of problems in my life. Now where is she?
Lucas: I don't know, she told me a bunch of fuckeries and left.
Erica: man I just wasted my time on you.
Erica got of the table and walked out to the street, she stopped next to a store and asked the guy that worked there if he have seen cyn.
Guy: yes, she was here, but she gone.
Erica: where did she go?
Guy: the ambulance came for her.
Erica: what?
Guy: yes, we fainted. My wife called the ambulance.
Erica: oh my God, do you know which hospital she went to.
Guy: I'm sorry I don't, but you can use the directory and find out. Mari come show this young lady the phone book. She looking for her friend. The one that fainted.
Mari: oh yes, poor girl. I saw her falling but couldn't catch her in time. She was crying when the ambulance came for her.
Erica started reading up and called three hospitals before getting the one cyn was taken too. She jumped in the car and told the driver to step in it. She arrived at the hospital and ran through though the door. She was praying all the way to the front desk.
Erica: Cynthia mena
Nurse: oh your the one that called.
Erica: yes, can you tell me which room my wife is in.
Nurse: room 302. Take the elevator to the fourth floor and turn right. Where you see the sign mark maternity wing.
Erica: thank you
Erica ran to the elevator and pushed the button a bunch of times trying to make it move faster. As soon as the door was open she ran to the maternity wing and up to cyn room. She peeked through the glass and saw cyn lying on the bed with iv in her hands and crying. She quickly pushed the door open. Cyn looked up and saw her, before turning her head back to face the wall. Erica slowly dragged her feet inside the room, like a child waiting to be punished. She walked around the bed to cyn.
Erica: hi
Cyn: *hoasly* what are you doing here.
Erica: I came to check on you.
Cyn: well I'm good you can go now.
Erica: cyn
Cyn: no erica, you told me stay away from you now your here in my hospital room. I don't want to see you.
Erica: I'm sorry
Cyn: so am I
Erica: cyn, can I ask you one question.
Cyn: no
Erica: ok
Cyn: can you go now, I will sign whatever papers you want me to sign through our lawyers.
Erica: what lawyers?
Cyn: you regret right, well I'll make it easy on you. I won't fight you all I want is to see king, at least twice in Thr month. You can remarry who ever you want. Just make sure they don't I'll treat my kids.
Erica: I'm not getting divorced
Cyn: why not, I won't be a burden. I never wanted no one to regret me. Espically the person I married.
Erica: cyn I was just mad I never regret us.
Cyn: too late, now can you leave I'm sleepy.
Erica: go ahead and sleep, cause I'm not leaving.
Cyn: whatever, *pulling the cover over her head to block out the light and closing her eyes*
Erica waited till cyn was sound asleep before snooping through cyn files.
??: what do you think your doing?
Erica: oh I just wanted to see what wrong with her.
??: you know you can go to jail for reading a patient file.
Erica: that my wife.
??: matters not, this is strictly personal, between Dr and patient.
Erica: I don't give a flying fuck, my wife pregnant with my child. I have a right to know what's going on with her.
??: so since you care so much, how comes you wife fainted because of dehydration. She haven't ate since yesterday. She lucky it wasn't worst.
Erica: I'm sorry, I will take better care of her from now on. It was just a misunderstanding.
??: hmm, we going keep for a few hours till we get her blood work back, then we will make our decision.
Erica: ok
??: in the meantime try to get her to eat something.
Erica: thanks.
Erica checked on cyn on last time before calling the driver to go get them some food. She wanted a sub for subway. Half and hour later the food arrived. Erica ate hers first and then, moved the cover from cyn face. Her face had dry tears steaks on it. Erica bend down and kissed cyn lips. Just as she was about to touch cyn face, she open her eyes.
