One day, Shruthi's behavior took an intriguing turn. There was a mysterious air about her as she moved around the house with excitement and anticipation. I couldn't help but notice the change in her demeanor, but rather than pressing for answers, I decided to play along.

"Hey, angel, what's cooking?" I asked with a playful smile.

Shruthi responded with an innocent smile, "Oh nothing..."

Her response deepened the mystery, leaving me curious yet amused. I continued with my day, pretending not to notice her covert preparations. It felt like being part of a suspenseful plot, and I was eager to see how it would unfold.

As evening approached, the suspense reached its peak. Shruthi, unable to contain her excitement, set up something special around the house. I appreciated her enthusiasm and decided to enjoy the surprise she had in store.

"You're up to something, aren't you?" I teased with a playful grin.

Shruthi, feigning innocence, replied, "Who, me? Why would you even think that?"

The anticipation grew, creating an atmosphere charged with curiosity and love. Whatever Shruthi had planned, I knew it would be a reflection of her thoughtfulness.

When I dropped Shruthi off at work, the air was thick with curiosity. Despite my attempts to keep a calm exterior, the previous day's events had left me even more suspicious. Shruthi, however, seemed to revel in the mystery she had crafted.

"Okay, that's it you better tell me right now. What's going on?" I inquired, raising an eyebrow.

Shruthi teasingly responded, "Oh, you'll find out soon. Just enjoy the suspense."

As she stepped out of the car with a mischievous grin, I couldn't help but wonder what awaited me.

Entering the office, I noticed Nirmal, engrossed in some files but looking unusually fidgety. Sensing something was off, I decided to address the elephant in the room.

"Hey, Nirmal, everything okay?" I casually asked.

Nirmal, avoiding eye contact, replied, "Yeah, yeah, all good. Just caught up with some work."

My instinct told me there was more to it. Nirmal was never one to act so evasive.

"Come on, spill the beans. You're my best friend, and you're hiding something," I insisted.

Nirmal sighed, giving in. "Alright, but don't tell Shruthi that I told you anything. She wouldn't hesitate to murder me. She's planning something big for your birthday."

Surprised, I asked, "What? She didn't mention a thing! What's the surprise?"

Nirmal grinned, "If I say more, it won't be a surprise anymore. Just be ready for something special."
