My phone buzzed with a text message, interrupting my workday banter with Veera. I sneakily checked it, a grin spreading across my face.

Text from Arjun: "Guess who's outside your office with a surprise pick-up? 😉"

Veera noticed my sudden excitement. "What's got you all smiles?"

I excused myself from my desk, informing Veera that I needed a quick break. As I stepped outside, I stopped in my tracks my breath caught in my throat. I could feel butterflies in my stomach fluttering around.

And there he was – Arjun, leaning casually against the car, sunglasses on, engrossed in his phone.

Veera, following me with a knowing smile, teased, "Well, well. Look who's here."

Rolling my eyes, I tried to play it cool. "Oh, stop it, Veera."

Veera chuckled. "Just go, Princess. Your knight in shining sunglasses is waiting."

I couldn't help but blush, caught in Veera's  teasing.

Arjun looked up, his eyes meeting mine, and a big smile played on his lips.

Approaching Arjun, I couldn't help but smile at the surprise. "Ready to roll, Angel?"

Veera, not one to miss an opportunity, whispered, "Admit it, you're gawking at him shamelessly."

Blushing, I shot a playful glare at Veera, who only laughed.

As Veera continued his playful teasing about Arjun, I couldn't help but notice the subtle shift in his demeanor.

His expression, once casual, now carried a trace of possessiveness. Sensing a tinge of jealousy, I found myself caught between amusement and a flutter of warmth.

Before I could decipher his feelings, Arjun swiftly stepped closer, encircling his arms around me. The sudden embrace was both unexpected and comforting, his strong arms enveloping me in a protective hold.

"Looks like someone's trying to claim their territory," Veera remarked with a mischievous grin, clearly reveling in the playful dynamics at play.

Arjun's response was subtle yet intentional, he hugged me even tighter, a silent reminder that I was his, and his alone. The warmth of his touch spoke volumes, soothing any traces of uncertainty that lingered.

"Jealous, Arjun?" Veera teased, his tone lighthearted yet observant.

Arjun's reply came in the form of a confident smirk as he whispered in my ear, "Always." The possessive undertone in his voice sent a shiver down my spine, a delightful acknowledgment of the connection we shared.
