After the shocking news, Seokhoon felt numb.

At some point, he was suspecting the possibility of his father doing all this, suggesting how brutal his father did to his mother, and many other people.

But being admitted the fact by Rona cuts him deeper.

He worked so hard because he wanted Rona to be safe. He changed himself because he wanted Rona to be happy, to think that he is not a bastard, not a bully anymore.

However, the acts of his father Joo Dan Tae just puts Seokhoon in more guilt, more treachery.

"Rona... I am sorry." Seokhoon apologies, even though he has done nothing wrong.

Rona could see Seokhoon's worry.

But in her eyes, Seokhoon is perfect. He doesn't need to regret anything he did, he doesn't need to feel guilty for anything. She is there, and she will be there in the future.

"Seokhoon," Seokhoon looks at Rona as she speaks his name, "you have nothing to be sorry for." Rona pauses. "As long as you are safe, everyone else is safe too. You are the key for our motivation, whether for me, or for your mother, or for your sister." Rona held Seokhoon's hands to comfort him, "you are our anchor."

Seokhoon felt a rush of sensation all over his body. Rona's comforting sound was all he needed to let go of the foolish world behind him.

He hugged Rona.

"Thank you, Rona. The world killed me, but you heal me."

----------

Hearing the news that Seokhoon and Rona met finally face to face, Logan and Yoon Hee arrive at the cemetery to pick the both of them up. To avoid anyone's suspicion, Yoon Hee takes Seokhoon in her car and drives him back to the penthouse, while Rona leaves with Logan to their safe house.

As they bid farewell, Seokhoon's eyes linger still on Rona, and Rona too, leaving her sweet angel smile, burnt into Seokhoon's mind.

In the car, Seokhoon couldn't help smiling, a lot.

Yoon Hee notices Seokhoon's difference. She rarely sees this youth smile, knowing his life has not been smooth ever.

"Seokhoon," Yoon Hee couldn't help but ask, "you like Rona right?"

Seokhoon looked at Yoon Hee, a little shocked, a little shy, and didn't know what he should say.

Yoon Hee didn't wait until Seokhoon gave an answer, because she knew it already.

She could see her shadow and Ha Yoon Chul's shadows in Seokhoon and Rona.

But she knew how it ended for herself and Yoon Chul.

At some level, she definitely heard the rumours about Ha Eunbyeol and Seokhoon from Jenny's mother. And now seeing Seokhoon so attached to her daughter, she couldn't help but think, what if these three children end up like her own personal relationship with Yoon Chul and Seo Jin.

"I know you do, but..." She paused, hesitated, but continued, " but Rona, has gone through a lot. After this revenge, I will sure to leave with her. And I mean forever." She peeks at Seokhoon, who kept quiet as he hears Yoon Hee's statement as if he knew it was going to happen.

"I want you to know, your father has great damage to all of our lives, and whether you can do avoid taking on his path, you must do your best to prove yourself." Yoon Hee advises. "I know you are a smart boy with your own ways of dealing with things, but be careful, something you think is right might trap you."

Seokhoon fell silent.

In some way, he knew Yoon Hee would say something like this, but at the same time, he was worried if he could do what Yoon Hee says.

Prove himself.

He knew he was no longer just liking Rona, but he loves her.

But in truth, there are way too many things in front of both of them, so much that they can no longer be like any normal teenage lovers.

They were forced to be an adult, and deals love the adult way.

Puppy love was simply a fantasy.

"I understand, Rona's mother."

Seokhoon's eyes were determined.

"I will prove myself. And prove I am worthy of giving Rona a great future."

Yoon Hee stunned a little, continued driving.

This statement was something, Ha Yoon Chul never told her.

Maybe this boy is something different.

Maybe Seokhoon was really for Rona.

But is it possible? Will he be the son of the devil, Joo Dan Tae or the son of the angel, Shim Suryeon?

Author's Note:

Had an extremely busy day and tried my best to squeeze this chapter out! But it came out better than I thought when I picked the perfect song to work with! I listened to Jane Jang's Hallucination while typing, and I find that it was an ost to a cool drama " Kill me, Heal me". And it sparked me to write the key line of this chapter: "The world killed me, but you heal me." I think this sentence really reflects the relationship between Rona and Seokhoon. It was really because of Rona, Seokhoon chose to change. So, will he be the son of a devil or the son of an angel?

Happy reading!
