I'm not dead?

Where am I?

I looked around the too, frantically until my eyes fell onto a tan man with bushy brown hair and emerald green eyes.

"Hola Chica," he smiled.

"The fuck you call me?" I yelled and he flinched and held his hands up definitively.

"Hey, Woah, Woah, Woah," he backed up as I sat up in...bed?

Why am I in a bed where is this?

He paused and waited for me to look around the circular towering room. Everything was dark stone and the walls were high, at the top of the pointed room were windows that showed the stars of the bright night sky. The only thing in this room was a small bed with a fitted green sheet that I was currently sitting on.

I looked down at my clothes. They were different. But they weren't feminine?

Wait...who the hell changed my clothes!? They're dead?

The man watched my wide range of emotions pass by within seconds of the other and looked a little more nervous than before.

He held his hands up again as soon as I started demanding he answer my questions.

"Vhere am I!?"

"The court's castle."

"Vhat court!?"

"The vampiric court."

"The vhat!?"

He arched a brow. "Francis didn't tell you anything did he, he can be so careless." He clicked his tongue in agitation and explained, backed against the door, worried to get any closer to my explosive anger.

"You are not alive and you aren't dead. You are what we call unalive or revived...there are a lot of words for your state of being but you are a vampire. Just like me, just like Francis, just like...Gilbert."

My eyes shot open and I lunged from the bed hard enough to break it and fast enough that when I reached my hands to pit Antonio against the door, we flew right through it instead.

The wood splintered and broke around us and he quickly pushed me off and jumped into a defensive fighting position after jumping several feet away with ease.

"Vhat the hell did I just do?" I asked looking around me. I know I'm strong but damn, what was that.

I only meant to question him.

"Antonio!" I heard a man call down the hall and the man who'd been trying to explain things to me whipped his head around and ran to the other.

Hundreds of feet down the long hall and I heard everything they said perfectly.

I shook my head and looked around.

Everything is so...clear?

But everything already was clear, maybe my vision was worse than I thought. As I stared around in confusion I managed to drown out the noise of the approaching man to listen to crickets instead. But somehow...I smelled him?

But it wasn't a bad stench, it was sweet, it was like rain...I spun around faster than I meant too and nearly fell but I caught myself with ease and very move I made just made me more confused than the last.

I stared up at him.

The red-eyed man.

"You!" I screamed and lunges but he stepped away and I flew down the hall nearly crashing into the far wall. I looked behind me panicking, the man was hundreds of feet away from where I'd just been.
