"So let me get this straight," Becca said from across the table while Lauren let out a groan and let her head hit the table. "You and Roy Marson went to the brand new night club Leon Pride. You lost Roy and he actually left you there by yourself because of his job? And then you decided to go on a drinking binge before you went up to meet the owner of the place who just so happens to go to school with us, and is the same guy who owns the car you kicked. On top of that he'd like some sort of spy that works for the government and you puked all over his couch and now you have to work for him to pay it off?"

Lauren lifted her head off the table to look at Becca, silently begging that this was the last time she'd ask the same question. "Yes! And he's not a spy he's a mercenary...he just happens to work with the government a lot." Lauren lifted her head up and rested it on her hand before she went on. "And he's a demon supremacist, and he's a slob, and he's just a straight up jerk, and-"

"And he just so happens to be an extremely good looking guy?" Becca ventured which made Lauren's cheeks flare and her friend smile. "He is, no shame in admitting that you like him."

"I don't like him." Lauren said stubbornly as the waiter came by and dropped off their burgers and fries. They thanked him and Lauren began to sprinkle salt on her food while she went on. "He's a good looking guy I'll give him that but he is such a child that I swear to god I just want to ring his neck!"

"Anyone I know?" Leon said sliding up a chair beside them nearly making Lauren scream and throw the salt shaker in the air. She shot him a glare which Leon only smiled at before helping himself to some of her fries. "These are good!"

"Oh yeah, by all means help yourself." Lauren said throwing her napkin at him before holding her hand to her forehead.

"Don't mind if I do." He said taking the whole plate and setting it in front of himself before he turned to her. "I'm going to need you at the club a little earlier than I thought."

"What the hell for!?" Lauren snapped earning her several questioning looks from the other teens and college kids that were in the small restaurant. "I'm not going to be putting in any unnecessary overtime I hope you know that.

"Lauren!" Becca said scoldingly shooting her friends a disbelieving look. "You don't talk like that to your boss."

Leon acknowledged that by pointing at Becca and commenting about how she had the right idea about how to talk to people, but that only made Lauren want to kill the both of them instead of just Leon. Honestly it was just stupid how quickly Becca would turn on her in the presence of a cute boy, she needed a new best friend she decided but didn't dare say it out loud. Becca turned on some of her charm as she and Leon began talking about this and that, though Lauren could tell already that Leon was already done with her, but still she couldn't help but feel a little testy about Becca trying to flirt with him. She was telling herself that it was because Becca was supposed to be dating her little brother but to be quite honest she wasn't entirely sure that was the reason she felt so edgy.

Becca was telling Leon about her time working in a grocery store and when she almost got robbed when Leon turned away from her right in the middle of the story. "So I can count on you being there right?" He asked with such a casual attitude that she couldn't help but feel a little surprised by it. He'd just turned away from Becca while she was in the middle of a story and talked to her. No guy had ever done that as far as Lauren knew, and Becca was just looking at him with an incredulous look on her face while Lauren was trying her best not to laugh.

"Uh- what do I have to do again?" Lauren asked brushing some of her hair over her shoulder. "If I'm going to have to be rearranging your files while you party downstairs I'm going to have to say-"
