{The Next Day}
Clementine enters her apartment. She walks in as she checks her phone, and sees a missed call and a voice message from you. She presses play and puts it on the table and starts putting things down and away in the kitchen.
You: Hey, Clem. I wanted to talk...about last night. I don't know what got into me. I know you were just there to help. I'm sorry for being an asshole. I just want to see you. Call me back, alright?
Clementine smiles and begins to walk out of the kitchen to grab her phone. But, she's suddenly grabbed by the throat and pushed up against the wall.
It's Louis, on his glider and donning Goblin gear. His mask is down, so Clementine can see his face.
Louis: If you want Y/N to live...you're going to have to do something for me.

{Later That Day}
Clementine told you to meet her in Central Park.
After taking down Sandman, you felt happy for the first time this year, even though it's only been a week into the new year.
You see Clementine by the pond. You're holding the pink flowers you bought her. You walk up to her, smiling.
You: Hey.
Clementine: Hey.
You show her the flowers.
You: They're called sweet peas. For my sweet pea.
You smile again as you hold them out for her to take. She doesn't.
You: You okay?
Clementine: No...there's something I have to tell you.
You: Okay.
Clementine takes a breath. Inside, she doesn't want to do this.
But she needs to or else you will die.
Clementine: I've been thinking...I think it's best if we...end this. You and me.
Those words hit you like the subway train you almost got hit with in the battle with Sandman.
You: ...W—what? What are you talking about?
Clementine: I don't know...
She begins to tear up. You are about to as well.
Clementine: We need to go our separate ways. I gotta follow my path...what I want to do. You have to follow yours.
You continue to listen.
Clementine: You've changed since that New Year's party...I think you need to... sort things out too. God, I'm sorry...but it's over.
You: No. Please don't say that...I know I've been selfish...but I can change.
Clementine: It's not that simple. You have things you need to do.
Out of nowhere, you spit it out.
You: I can give up being Spider-Man.
Clementine's heart drops at that statement. She couldn't believe she was doing this. But she had to.
You: I love you, Clementine. We can work things out...talk it out. The city can...handle itself—
Clementine: Stop. Please.
You listen.
Clementine: I'm sorry, Y/N. Goodbye.
She walks away, leaving you by yourself at the pond holding the flowers.
Clementine walks down the paved path, and sees Louis. He's wearing casual attire, and was watching the whole exchange. He smirks.
Louis: Bravo.
Clementine ignores him, and keeps on walking.

{Later That Day}
You had called Louis. You needed a friend to talk to about the situation with Clementine. The two of you sit in a café in Greenwich.
You explain everything to him, only omitting the part of you offering to give up being Spider-Man. Louis responds.
Louis: How you holding up?
You: Not good. I thought she was the one, man. I saw a future where we got married, had kids, grew old. You know?
Louis takes a bite out of his carrot cake.
Louis: I gotta tell you something...
You listen.
Louis: She feels lonely. She wants to carve her own path, one with another.
You: What?
Louis: Look, Y/N. She broke up with you...because there's another guy.
You are still confused.
Louis: I'm the other guy.
You are shocked. Speechless. But he continues to speak.
Louis: I never told you, but I liked her too. Ever since she arrived at Ericson's. Since my accident, we just started hitting it off.
You: I don't believe this...I...I don't believe you.
Louis: I'm very sorry. I just thought you should know.
You shake your head trying to process the information. You get up and walk out of the cafe. You walk down the street, but something makes you look back.
You look through the window of the cafe, and see Louis. He turns around, and gives you a wink. Out of anger you try to run back, but a bus speeds down the road. Once it passes, you see Louis has disappeared.
Louis had something to do with all of this, and you weren't going to tolerate it.

{Later That Night}
Louis is in his father's old penthouse, pouring himself a drink. He puts down the bottle once he senses you behind him. You lay on the same couch you placed Norman when he died.
Louis: What took you so long?
You wear casual clothes, with an open collar exposing your black spider-suit.
You: That was quite a performance today...
Louis turns around, laughing.
Louis: Well, it wasn't all a show. Clementine did say what she felt.
You chuckle as you get up from the couch.
You: Ugh, yeah. I get the story.
You brush yourself off and face Louis.
You: I'm really going to enjoy this.
Louis smiles.
Louis: Not as much as I enjoyed it when I took her from you.
Louis takes a sip from his cup.
Louis: You took my father from me. Now, I'm going to start taking the things that you love most from you. I mean...not that there's much to take anymore...
You glare at him.
Louis: What? Too much? Can't accept your failure? Of losing the love of your life...losing your uncle?
You land a jab across Louis's face, and the fight ensues. You land a couple blows and pin him against a pillar. Louis extends his arm, revealing his retractable arm blades. He swings them at you, but you weave and dodge them. You punch and kick him to the wall, but he recovers and punches you. You lean against a pillar when you tries to swipe his blades down.
You hold his arm, stopping the blades. You push him away, but he quickly swipes his arm at you again. You duck down, and his blades stab into the pillar. He tries to pull himself out, but you swing down at his arm and break the blades off.
Louis backhands then kicks you onto the wooden table near the fireplace, breaking it.
Louis: How'd you like that, Spidey?
You get back up, getting into your fighting stance and facing Louis again.
You: That all you got, asshole?
Louis charges at you, but you grab his arm and thrown him through the glass doors. He crashes through them and rolls over on the balcony.
You: Stings doesn't it?
Louis spits out blood.
Louis: I had your back in high school, now I'm going to kick your fucking ass.
He charges. The two of you grab each other, and amidst the struggle you crash through the mirror leading into the Goblin lair. Louis quickly runs down the corridor, and you chase after him.
Louis grabs his sword from a stand, and turns back to attack you. You dodge each swing. Sparks fly everywhere as Louis frantically swings his sword. He accidentally stabs the computer that's plugged into his gilder, and it goes haywire. The snowboard-like glider accerlates forward and flies around the room. The two of you lower your heads, but still continue to fight.
Louis swings his sword again. You dodge, then grab onto Louis's collar, bringing him down with you. Once the glider gets close, you lift him up and expose him. The glider hits Louis, his flailing body crashing into the shelves of razor bats.
Louis is down, taking heavy breaths. You walk up to him.
Louis: Are you gonna kill me like you killed my father?
You: I'm done trying to convince you.
Louis: You took him from me...he loved me.
You didn't want to say it, but you did anyway. Louis hurt you so much, now it was time to hurt him.
You: No. He despised you. You were an embarrassment to him.
Louis glares at you.
You: Oh...look at little Goblin junior. Gonna cry?
Louis yells as he tries to get up and attack. You land a solid punch across his face, knocking him out.
You adjust your collar, and leave the penthouse.
