With all the hormones running through her, it had taken Lilith a while to calm down. Once she had calmed herself down from her minor meltdown, she immediately decided she needed to find a way to take precaution for the threat that may be coming towards them. Edward had decided that he wouldn't let Lilith run or try and hide from them, that he and the rest of the Cullens would do whatever means necessary to protect her from whatever may be coming towards them. Considering that they had just made up from a fight and she didn't want to be away from him anymore, she agreed to his plead.

"You guys need to leave before anything gets messy." Lilith told her parents, who seemed a little confused as to why she would try to send them away, "You value your agreement, treaty and friendship with the pack more than anything, and I don't want to be the person to destroy that because of this."

"Unfortunately our relationship with the pack is now void, Lil. We chose our side a long time ago, and they know we would never be in agreement with anyone who tries to hurt our daughter." Sierra walked over towards her daughter, gently holding onto her face, "If we try to leave; they will come after us anyway just because we were here."

Lilith couldn't help but frown, everything in her life just kept going wrong and it only seemed she was destroying friendships and allies just by existing. Every decision she had ever made had only ever complicated things and resulted in horrible consequences, "I didn't think about that."

Sierra smiles sympathetically, "We wouldn't expect you to, it's not your duty to try and protect us, it's our job to protect you."

With everything going on, Lilith felt she absolutely had to protect them and the other people in her life because it was her fault that they were in this position in the first place, "What do we do then?" She questioned in a small voice.

Before Sierra could answer, there was a banging on the door, causing each and everyone to snap their heads towards the door, seeing a frantic Bella behind the glass door. Lilith took a step towards it, Edward grabbing onto her elbow, "Don't."

Lilith rolled her eyes, "It's just Bella, I doubt she's here to hurt me." From the reaction Bella had to Lilith's pregnancy announcement along with Jacob's horrible reaction, she doubted Bella would fall back and try to hurt her. Lilith believed that her and Bella had a much stronger friendship than that, and whatever Bella was here for would have to be something that would prove that thought to be correct.

Edward ended up letting go of Lilith's arm, deciding it was better to trust Lilith's judgement and also being able to see that Bella wasn't here for ill intentions. Even if he couldn't read her mind, he could see it in her face that Bella cared a lot about Lilith, and vice versa. The two had gone through so much throughout the years of their friendship that they had created some sort of bond that would be much stronger than some people could ever imagine. He was happy that Lilith had someone like Bella in her life, and he couldn't have been more grateful that Bella was there for his wife during the time that he had left her.

Lilith walked over towards the front door and opened it wide, the brunette immediately jumped into her arms and engulfed her into a tight hug, repeating how sorry she was, "Bella?" Lilith questioned as Bella refused to let go, only continuing to apologise over and over again. Bella pulled away and it was then when Lilith noticed the dried up tears on her cheeks along with the bloodshot and puffy eyes, indicating that she had been heavily crying for some time now, "Bella, what's going on?"

"Jake told the pack about the baby. They're planning on coming after you tonight." Bella confessed, gulping as Lilith's breath caught in her throat. She had already assumed he had from her vision, along with the phone call she had with Paul, but this had most definitely confirmed it, "He had told me what he had done and I couldn't stay there and let him do what they planned to do. I had to leave—I had to leave him—and come warn you."

"We know." Edward told Bella as he walked over towards the two friends, placing a hand on the small of Lilith's back, "But, thank you for telling us anyway."

Bella pursed her lips and gave a small nod to the vampire, lightly rocking on her feet awkwardly as she didn't know what to do next, "Do you need somewhere to stay?" Lilith asked Bella, "We've got space and a lot of spare clothes for you to change into if you want." Lilith knew that if Bella had gone back to the pack after she had just ruined their surprise attack, they would never forgive her and who knew what they would do to both Jake and Bella because of it.

"Yeah, thanks." Bella agreed and Lilith walked her friend towards one of the spare rooms in the house, the girl giving an awkward wave towards the other Cullen members and the Bailey parents who had all heard the entire thing.

Once Lilith showed Bella one of the spare bedrooms, she gave Bella a grateful look, "I really am thankful that you came and told me, you didn't have to do that."

Bella shrugged, "You're my best friend, there isn't anything I wouldn't do for you." She stated as she sat down on the bed, "And that extends for my niece now." She winked and Lilith let out a giggle as she sat next to her friend.

"Thanks, Bella. For always being there for me." Lilith said with a sad smile as she placed her head onto Bella's shoulder, the brunette resting her head against hers also. Lilith felt horrible that she was always constantly putting Bella through things involving the supernatural, and she felt horrible that she was now basically ruining her relationship because of her decision to want her baby, "And I really hope you and Jake could come back from this."

Bella huffed, "I don't think we'll be able to come back from my boyfriend agreeing to try and kill my best friend and my niece." She said with a scowl while Lilith rubbed a hand over her baby bump soothingly. It made her heart warm that Bella was deferring to her baby as her niece; even if neither of them were a hundred percent sure of the gender—though Lilith was certain it was a girl—Bella took her word for it. Bella was going to be a great aunt to her child if they make it through, and she would hopefully be able to be an even better mother one day also.

"Yeah, let's hope it doesn't come to that." Lilith mumbled sleepily as she pulled away from her friend and stood up, "I'm going to go and take a nap; growing a baby is apparently very exhausting."

Bella chuckled, "You go and take a nap, I'll be okay here." She brushed it off. Bella was most likely going to have a shower and hope that the water covered the sound of her sobs from her very recent break up. She hated how she had placed herself in the middle of it all between her boyfriend and her best friend. But, then again, she also hated how Jake was making a decision that was going to hurt the people she cared about—people who were innocent as well. She couldn't stand to be with the person who would do such a thing, and when Jake had told her what had happen down at the docks, she was disgusted and she couldn't even recognise the person who was standing in front of her.

It was like Jake was a different person, and was so very different from the Jake she first initially fell in love with when she moved back to Forks.

And when it came to Lilith, Bella would always choose to try and be able to protect her more than anything like Lilith had done for her so many times. So when Jake had admitted to Bella that he and the pack planned to attack the Cullens and harm Lilith's baby, Bella knew leaving and giving them a warning would be the right thing to do in a heartbeat.

It didn't mean that she wasn't sad that she had just ended her relationship; she was devastated. She was definitely heartbroken and she hoped that the wolves would come to their senses and come to realise that Lilith would never do anything to harm anyone—especially the pack considering how much she loved them. Bella hoped that the pack would stop whatever they were trying to do and this entire nightmare would be over and they would try to help instead. But, that would only ever happen in a perfect world; and in this world, nothing ever went right for anyone.

"Wake me up if you need anything, Bella. I mean it." Lilith said softly by the door before closing it behind her. Bella then smiled, at least she had Lilith.

"You know this baby is going to kill you right?" The high priest asked as he slowly paced in front of her, the two beginning to speak to each other once again in the dream world that they were always sucked into once Lilith fell asleep, "And if not, the wolves will." He added.

"I know they will try." Lilith exhaled, "But, you won't let anything happen to either of us." She added with a spark of confidence. It was always the key when speaking to the high priest, you always had to be confident and never show an ounce of fear otherwise he would pounce on it and never let it go.

The high priest let out a chuckle for her very bold claim, "Is that so?"

"Yes. Because I'm a witch, and my child is half witch, remember? And you wouldn't let anything happen to your kind against the hands of another species." She reminded him, "I read up on you when I first learnt that you were planning on coming after me; you would always step in when it came to a potential threat against witches from werewolves or vampires or anything else that exists in the world."

The high priest began to catch on to where Lilith was heading towards, "Are you bargaining for me to save your life?" He questioned, his tone in one of shock and disbelief.

"Call me desperate." She crossed her arms with the shrug, "You stated that there will be a day that I will come crawling to you begging for help, well consider that day today."

His eyes darkened, but remained impressed with her strength to ask for help from him, knowing that he was after her for other reasons, "And why should I? You plan on becoming a vampire after the birth of your child—if you make it through—why should I help a traitor to our people?"

"I am willing to be of service to you in other ways. I believe I could be quite resourceful once I turn." Lilith bargained.

"So, you're telling me, you're willing to throw away all the hard work that your parents went through to keep you away from me, in order to protect the baby in your stomach that could potentially kill you if the wolves don't get to you first?" The high priest couldn't believe what he was hearing, and he didn't know whether to deem Lilith as smart or stupid for coming to him for this.

"I am." Lilith nodded, trying not to let the fear show through, "Because my father once explained to me that once you have a child of your own, you'll go to great lengths to protect them—even if it puts yourself in danger." Lilith watched as the high priest rolled his eyes at her worlds, "My child isn't even here yet, but my need to protect her is already so strong that I will go to the person I am supposed to fear in order to protect her." The high priest didn't say anything and Lilith let out a quiet sigh, deciding she needed to dig a little deeper to try and get him to agree, "I will do whatever I need to do to protect my child, and if that means I need to do your bidding, then so be it."

The two made eye contact and it seemed that there was a glint in the high priest's eyes that she couldn't quite recognise before he sighed, "I suggest you should keep that offer for another day." He said and Lilith's eyebrows creased in confusion, his response not something she was expecting, "You won't need me for this fight, but you will need me for another."

"So, you won't help me?" Lilith questioned, "I'm literally offering myself up on a silver platter to you and you won't take it. I don't understand."

"You don't need to understand." His eyes hardened. He didn't want her to try to understand him or his motives, but he couldn't help but want to give in to the soft spot he felt for her. He didn't understand it himself considering that he was wanting to protect her and her child, along with what was in store for her for the future, "My only suggestion to you for now is that you need to protect yourself; use the same trick that your parents did against me and border the home up."

"I have to place a protection spell against the home? Won't it tire me out?" Lilith asked. It was a smart idea, she was cursing herself out for not thinking of it in the first place and she did agree that it would work. She was just worried that it would make her tired and exhausted like she already was from growing her child.

"Potentially. Which is why it should only be for a short amount of time while you work on trying to sort things out with the wolves." He explained, "If you can't do that, it's probably best you need to find a way to keep your child strong without having it suck the life out of you to do it."

"And how do I do that?" Lilith questioned him again.

"I can't give you all of the answers, but, just remember who your child is and where she comes from. That is the simplest way I can explain what you need to do to make it through this with the best outcome." He shrugged at her. All of his advice was coming out gruff and vague, yet he sounded like he had experience in dealing with the matter which intrigued Lilith into knowing what had happened and to who it happened with. She wondered if he had gone through something similar which was why he knew what to do—or did he see into her future and be able to piece together what she would need before they were too late?

Lilith's eyebrows creased once again as she slowly nodded, her mind taking in all of the information before she had an alarming thought go through her mind and she quickly shook her head, "Wait, why should I believe this? Why should I trust you?"

"Because like you said; I'm not willing to let anything happen to my kind against the hands of wolves. You and your child are included in that for the time being, and I told you I wanted to help." He answered her question, "You don't have to understand why; because frankly, neither do I when my motives were once to have you for myself. But, things change and my priority is always going to be the safety of my species at the end of the day."

Lilith sighed, deciding to take a chance as this was possibly going to be best she was going to get and it was going to be the best chance she'll have at surviving all situations headed for her, "Okay."

"And one more thing." The high priest called and Lilith turned to look at him expectantly, "There's an unexpected alliance brewing that is planning to look out for you, trust it. It'll be your saving grace."

Lilith wondered who the alliance could be between that would deem it so 'unexpected' but nodded her head again, deciding to take whatever information she could get, "Okay."

The high priest smirked, "Perfect. I will see you soon, Mrs. Cullen."

Jacob Black walked towards the front of the Cullen home, seeing Edward standing on the second floor balcony already waiting for him, having heard his and Seth's thoughts minutes ago. Jake stayed fairly far away from the home, but not too far away so Edward could still hear him. "Get ready, they're coming after Lilith."

"We know." Edward says from up balcony. Jacob's face turned to confusion, wondering how they knew, "Lilith saw it moments before Bella came to warn us about it herself."

Jake sighed, "Is Bella here?" He questioned as Edward nodded his head. The wolf sheepishly running a hand through his hair deciding it was definitely the right choice to leave the pack to warn them about the pack threat, even through they all probably knew it was his fault that they were going to come after her in the first place. Hopefully it would win some points back with Bella when she finds out that he had tried to fix his mistake, and it didn't help that he was so proud of Bella and her want to protect Lilith. He even hoped that Lilith would forgive him for how he had treated her and the problem he had caused within her new family.

He then realised the weight of everything and one small minor detail about what was happening, "God, Lilith must be so devastated about Sam, is she okay?" Sam and Lilith were close, he was like a second father figure to her, and for her to see that he planned on killing her and her child would've destroyed her to see her friendship go down the drain over her pregnancy.

"She's upset, but, she'll be okay. It's not the first time someone didn't react well to her pregnancy." Edward informed him, taking a dig at both himself and Jake, "But, I'm not gonna let him touch her."

"Agreed." Jake said sternly, hoping that what he planned to do now would make up for what he had done and that everything would go back to normal.
