{Two Weeks Later}
With the flick of your wrist, you threw your cap in the air, along with the many other senior class students. You weren't seniors anymore, you were alumni.
Mr. Everett: Congratulations to the Ericson Academy senior class! Thank you all for coming!
You stood by Louis, and hugged him.
Louis: We did it, man. We fucking did it.
You pat his back. You embraced as you remembered the times with Louis, your best friend since middle school.
You: Yeah, man. We did.
Students started departing from the field and embracing with their family members. You meet up with your aunt.
Aunt: Oh, honey! I'm so proud of you!
You hug your aunt tightly, diploma still in hand.
You: I wouldn't have done it without you. Thank you for everything.
You stop hugging your aunt, and she goes on to hug Louis as well. Moments later, Louis's dad arrives.
A/N: Say hello to this universe's Norman Osborn! Played by actor Giancarlo Esposito.
Mr. Osborn: You did it, son. Your hard work has paid off.
He puts a hand on Louis's shoulder, then looks at you.
Mr. Osborn: Y/N. Congratulations to you too.
He shakes your hand.
You: Thank you, Mr. Osborn.
Mr. Osborn: Please, you're a graduate now. You can call me Norman.
You just nod, then you see Clementine and her family walk up to you.
Clementine gives you a hug.
You: How does it feel to be a graduate?
Clementine: I still have to go through college.
You: Yup. You're right.
Mr. Everett walks up to the two of you.
You: Hey, Mr. Everett. Or can I call you Lee?
Mr. Everett: Ha. No, Y/N. I came to say congratulations to probably one of the few students who enjoyed my history and science classes throughout your tenure here.
Clementine: How could we not? You were are favorite teacher.
Mr. Everett: I'm flattered.
You: So, how's that science doctorate going?
Mr. Everett: I've completed everything I need to do. Once that degree comes in, I'll go by Dr. Everett. My future here at Ericson though....is up in the air.
You: Really? Why?
Mr. Everett: I've felt like trying new things. My wife, Carley, thinks it's a good idea too.
He changes the subject.
Mr. Everett: So, have you decided where to attend college?
Clementine: The both of us are going to ESU nearby. So is a few of our other friends.
He nods.
Mr. Everett: Great choice. A good friend of mine, Dr. Kenneth Connors, teaches there. Hope you guys get acquainted with him.
The two of you nod.
Mr. Everett: I best get going. Congratulations to the both of you.
He walks away.
You and Clementine walk off as well, looking for the rest of your friends.

{Two Months Later}
You and Louis sat in the living room of the loft, eating snacks and watching television.
It was the first week of your freshman year at Empire State University. Luckily, Louis's dad was nice enough to help pay for a loft near the school. He was just happy that his son was accepted to his Alma mater, ESU.
Clementine also went to ESU, but lived somewhere else. Aasim, Omar, and Ruby attended as well. Brody went to study abroad and Marlon joined the army.
You and Louis were watching Friends reruns. The show ended a year ago to your disappointment.
Louis: Chandler is so funny. Reminds me of me.
You: Heh.
Louis looks at his phone, and sees a news article.
Louis: Jesus....
You: What is it?
Louis: One of the companies associated with my dad just got attacked overseas.
You: Isn't that the second one this month?
Louis: Yeah. I'm afraid whoever's doing this is gonna go after Oscorp next. My dad can't deal with any more stress after that incident last month.
You remember. Mr. Osborn was found unconscious after a lab accident. His partner didn't survive.
You: How's your dad holding up?
Louis: He seems....fine. Not as happy or cheery as he once was....but he's still good 'ol Norman.
You nod, and the two of you continue watching television.

{Meanwhile}
Norman Osborn pours himself a glass of whiskey. He chugs it down, the alcohol burning his throat.
He couldn't believe it. His own coworkers....people he considered friends....betrayed him. The board was going to sell Oscorp, and he was being forced to resign.
How was he going to tell Louis? How can he break it to him that the company his father built from the ground up was now being taken from him? How would people look at him?
He threw the glass against the wall in anger.
Mr. Osborn: Those sons of bitches....
He rubs his temples with his thumb and index finger. Suddenly, he hears a laugh....a cackle.
He looks around, confused.
Mr. Osborn: Hello? Who's there?
He hears the cackle again. Then, he hears a menacing voice.
???: I'm right here, Norman.
He turns to his left, and sees it.
He sees his reflection in the mirror, but....it really isn't him.
Mr. Osborn: I don't understand....
His reflection gives a menacing smile.
???: You know exactly what's happening, Norman. You feel betrayed. Your company is being ripped away from you. Despite you weeding out the competition....
Norman starts to remember in flashes. The explosions....the fire....destroying Aerospace Dynamics.
Mr. Osborn: It....it was you. You killed those people!
???: We killed those people! You and me, Norman....we make a great team.
Norman starts to have a breakdown, and gets down on his knees. He looks up at the mirror again, and sees his reflection again.
It's still smiling menacingly.
???: We got some more work to do, friend.
His reflection lets out a goblin-like cackle. Norman begins to laugh as well, and let's out a cackle himself.
A/N: This chapter kicks off the Green Goblin arc of the story! Y/N is about to face his fiercest foe yet!
