"Korean, Japanese or English songs?" you asked glancing at the older boy.
"日本語分かりますか。"(trans: "Do you understand Japanese?" lol I took Japanese for 4 years and went to Japan and still hardly know anything.)
"はい、私は日本語がわかります。" (trans: "Yes, I understand Japanese.") you replied.
"You speak Japanese better than Namjoon!"
"I also speak English better too." You replied in English.
"And a bit of Spanish" you said in Korean.
"Really?"
"Yeah...you only know Korean and Japanese right?" you said curiously, he probably thought you were just flexing your lingo skills (the duolingo bird is quaking).
"I'm studying English right now but I know some basic Chinese"
"I can help with English if you ever want it.... I know Namjoon is good at English and you are probably more comfortable around him.... But-"
"I'm actually not anymore, I avoid Hyung because I'm afraid he will figure us out."
"He is smart, but not that smart, let's not talk about that, it's our first date, after this I might not want to go on another date." you joked.
"Am i-"
"A-ha, i know what song to start us off with."
"What song is-"
You put your finger against his lips, shushing him with a wild smile dancing on your own lips.
He sat there shocked, unmoving and watching you quizzingly.
You selected the song with the remote and started it, turning away from Jungkook, to stand in front of him while it begun to play.
Baby by ASTRO played through the speakers and you started singing along with Moonbin as he began the song.
Jungkook watched you dance around as you clutched the mic in one hand, singing your heart out.
The song ended and you flung yourself down onto the couch beside him, he looked more comfortable now, a small smile on his face.
"Your turn" you said, shoving the mic into his chest while your own pumped up and down.
"I... fine." he said grabbing the remote and looking through the songs.
After a few minutes he frowned and looked at you.
"I can't choose." He complained.
"Seriously Kook?" You sighed out.
"What song do you want to hear?" He asked, shocking you a bit.
"Uhhh, well I'd love to hear any song but the first that comes to my mind is.....Paradise!" You said grinning and clasping your hands together.
"Good pick. But I'm not standing up to sing it."
"Fine, but I'm expecting you to hit every single note." You said still smiling sweetly.
He selected the song and it started playing through the speakers.
He hardly attempted his intro. Then when he started Jimin's verse he wasn't really taking it seriously, but when it came to his part next, he took it seriously.
He was more cheerful and into it, you could see the change in his facial muscles, he was relaxed.
His stunning voice played over the empty music.
You watched him, smiling sickly at him as he sang amazingly. You were entranced.
He caught you staring at him while he was attempting to keep up with your brothers rap, he had to watch the screen during the rap, he couldn't remember it. Jungkook did the vocal backings to the rap usually so he didn't know the actual words. He still managed it and glared at you as he continued to sing the song. When it came to Yoongi's rap he tried his best but missed a few lines.
The song ended after another minute or so.
You clapped.
"I kinda forgot that your job is literally singing and dancing. That was an out-of-body experience." You said throwing more of yourself onto the couch, spreading your arms and legs like a star, closing your eyes.
He looked at you lost and you somehow knew he would.
You peeked an eye open.
"This is what the feeling looks like when you sing." You said smiling.
"thanks?"
"Another, another!" You cheered too enthusiastically.
"It's your turn, you have to sing." he said eyeing you.
"Good thing I have an amazing voice then" you teased, getting up to look at the songs again.
"What are you going to sing?"
"Wait and see... close your eyes." you said snatching the remote off the table.
Once the beat of mikrokosmos started playing, Jungkook smiled, he uncovered his eyes and you started off the verse, "반짝이는 별빛들..."
You swayed, sitting beside him on the couch, eyes closed, having a moment with the song that you knew he loved from their newest album.
He watched you tenderly until you got up to the chorus.
He joined you when you sang "I got you," it took you by surprise and you had to open your eyes.
The rest of the day was spent with the both of you singing songs together between stolen kisses in the small karaoke room.
Your own little mikrokosmos sparked between the 2 of you.
