Hiii friends!! How are you? I had an unexpected day off today bc of an error at work that wouldn't let me work at all haha so I got to go home after an hour and I didn't have to work at all today, which allowed me to write quite a lot!
Second to last chapter in this book! Ahh I can't believe that this is the 199th part of this chapter - chapter 195 - and we're nowhere near done with this story. We're almost 200 chapters in!!! Insane hahaha I can't believe it but I'm so proud of everything so far.

Definitely sounds like something they'd do. Can't imagine that to be the album title but I definitely see them using that for a song title.

Tyler told Steve and Lucas that they had talked and Josh knew he could tell his two best friends. Tyler offered to drop him off at Gracie's apartment, so they said bye for now, see you soon, and Tyler drove him there.
"I'll see you in an hour", Tyler said. "Yeah, I'll see you then", Josh smiled. "Don't forget anything, so you got everything you need at Steve's later", Tyler said. "I won't. Thanks for dropping me off", Josh said. "'Course love, no big deal", Tyler smiled. "See you in a bit", Josh said as he got out of the car. "We'll be here", Tyler said, giving Josh a wave and Josh returned it, then he closed the door to the car and Tyler drove off.
Josh rang the door bell to Gracie's place. "Joshua! Is it you?!" She said. "Yep, I made it", Josh chuckled. "Ahhh c'mon up!!" Gracie said, then the buzz sound followed and Josh opened the door. He walked upstairs and knocked on Gracie's door. She opened it and Josh heard music in the background. "Hi Sweets!" She said as she gave him a tight hug. "Hi Gracie", Josh smiled. "Come in, come in. It's busy! Colin and Michelle are here too, and all the guys", she said.
Josh walked into the apartment and to the living room. "Joshieeee!" Fred jumped up, then he made his way to Josh and he wrapped his arms around him. "So glad to see you're doing okay!" He smiled. "Hi Freddie", Josh smiled as he hugged him tightly. "Where's Colin?" Josh asked. "Uhhhm he's around here somewhere-", he interrupted himself as his eyes widened, then he furrowed his eyebrows together as his jaw dropped. "Is that a hickey?!" Fred asked.
Josh's heart dropped, he quickly and firmly grabbed Fred's arm as he pulled him closer. "Shut up", he hissed. Fred looked at him, slightly taken aback. "Just- ...fuck", Josh said. "I need to talk to you, and Colin, now", Josh said. "I- okay, go, go there", Fred said as he pointed at the guest bedroom. "I'll get Colin." "Thanks", Josh nodded, making his way to the bedroom, while he said hi to the guys while trying to hide whatever was in his neck.
He got to the bedroom and he nervously sat down on the bed. He felt the palms of his hands clammy from the nerves, and he in- and exhaled shakily. Gosh, this was making him nervous. Where was he even gonna start? He had no idea how to tell them this.
The door opened and in came Fred and Colin. "Joshie! Hi!" Colin smiled happily. "Wait why do you look like someone just died", he said as he came to a stop. Fred locked the door, so no one could walk in. "...and why are you representing my state while doing so?"
Josh rolled his eyes. "I borrowed this shirt from Tyler", he said. "Uhm I- I need to talk to you", he added. "...are you breaking up with us?" Colin asked. Josh let out a scoff. "No", he said. "I just... uhm... stuff... happened", he said. "...you're making me scared now", Colin said. "No, no no", Josh sighed. "I just- fuck, I don't know where to start, I don't know how to say this, I just..." he trailed. "Okay give me a hug first", Colin said. Josh sighed softly but he nodded as he got up, wrapping his arms around Colin as he got his well-needed hug from his best friend.
"Do you guys promise to love me no matter what", Josh muttered. "Of course J, always", Fred said. "Yeah, we're always here, we always will be and will love you regardless of what happens", Colin said. "Thank you", Josh sighed. "Uhm..." he let go of Colin and he sat down on the bed, then so did his friends.
"So uh... last night was... insane", Josh started. "Oh? What happened?" Colin asked curiously. "Promise me that you won't tell anyone. You have to keep this between us three. You have to promise me 'cause if you ever tell anyone... I won't trust you after that anymore, ever", Josh said. "I need you to promise with all that you have that this is between us three and us three only. Not even Michelle can know", Josh said.
"...okay, yeah, I promise", Colin said. "I won't tell her. It'll stay between us three", he said. "I promise too. You got my word", Fred said. Josh nodded. "Thanks", he sighed softly.
"I... I don't know how to say this", Josh said. "...maybe start by showing Colin your neck?" Fred asked. Josh bit his lip, then he sighed. "Fine", he said, moving to show his best friend the side of his neck - and the hickey. Colin's jaw dropped.
"You have a hickey?! How the hell did you get a hickey?!" He asked. "It's not the only one", Josh muttered, lifting his shirt up - Fred and Colin's jaws both dropped as they saw the several hickeys scattered around Josh's torso. "Oh sweet Jesus what the fuck is this", Colin muttered. "Wh- who gave you those?!" Fred asked, totally stunned, and so was Colin. "Uhm... S- uh... S-Steve and um- and Tyler..?" Josh made it sound like a question. Colin stared at him blankly.
"How in the ever loving hell did you get hickeys from Steve and Tyler?!" He then burst out. "Did you fuck all of them?!" "No! Jesus", Josh said. "Then how the fuck!" Colin added. "Jeez- just- calm down! My Gosh", Josh ran his hand down his face.
"...are they gay?" Fred asked. Josh looked at him, a soft worry on Josh's face. "I- ...yeah", he said. Colin's jaw dropped all over again. "...they are?!" He asked softly. Josh swallowed difficultly, then he nodded. "I uh... I've known for a few years", he said as he scratched the back of his head. "Really?" Fred asked, raising his eyebrows in surprise. Both were absolutely flabbergasted and they couldn't believe what they were hearing.
"Just... please just- listen okay", Josh said. "Without asking a bunch of questions first... I just- I need to explain first", Josh said. "...okay, okay I'll- yeah, okay", Colin said. "I'll be patient." "Thank you", Josh sighed softly.
"Uhm... remember that time that we went to the I Prevail show here in Detroit? Where Tyler filled in for Brian?" Josh asked. "Yeah, first thing we truly did together. Will never forget that", Colin said. "Right, then Tyler and the guys invited us to hang out after", he said. "Uhu", his friend nodded. "...but we first went to the bathroom before we left." "I think I remember that, yeah", Colin said.
"I finished sooner than you did, and when I left the bathrooms, I... saw Tyler and Steve kiss", Josh said. "No way", Fred gasped softly. "Really?!" Colin said. "Yep", Josh nodded. "Wait they're a couple?" Fred asked. "They were, at that time", Josh replied. "I... didn't know what to do but later that night I ended up confessing to Tyler that I saw them kiss and he uhm... well, he told me he was gay and in a relationship with Steve, and then I talked to Steve about it too... Lucas as well", Josh said.
"They... trusted me but asked me to keep it a secret, and so... I did", Josh said. "Jeez", Fred said softly. "I mean, that truly shows how trustworthy you are, but dang. That must've been hard too", he said. "Yeah, especially with you two continuously telling me 'oh maybe Tyler is also gay!' Well yeah, he is! I've known for years now!" Josh said. "This is insane", Colin chuckled. "I can't believe that! I can't believe you've known for so long already. And that Steve and Tyler are a thing! ...were", he said. "Were, yeah", Josh said.
"Uhm... Lucas ended up telling me his name the day after, and the reason why he kept it a secret from me and you and everyone really, for so long... he's also Tyler's ex", Josh said. "Noooo really?" Colin said. "Yeah, and Luke really doesn't want to be famous and followed around or recorded or whatever in public, so... he's not told anyone his name because of that reason and because he doesn't want to... to out Ty, basically", he said. "'Cause Lucas is openly gay. He just... kept it hidden from us, or at least his relationship with Tyler mainly, for Tyler's sake but also because, as I said, he doesn't really want to be known by Tyler's fans", he said.
"...that makes sense", Fred said. "I get why he wouldn't wanna share that. Especially if Tyler doesn't want to share his sexuality", he said. "Yeah I mean... yeah, I get that", Colin said. "...but they decided to trust us with Lucas' name?" He asked. "Yep, and they decided to trust you with all of this info that I'm giving you now as well... I wouldn't be telling you this now if it wasn't for them telling me this morning that I could", he said.
"So anyways, I've... known this for a while, the gay thing", Josh said. "Steve and Tyler broke up a few years ago now, I'm not gonna give any details on that because that's not my place, but... Steve, Lucas and Tyler are close. Like, really genuinely extremely close. They're... soulmates", Josh said.
"And... they're comfortable, around each other", Josh said, a soft blush on his cheeks. "They're not opposed to uhm... I guess, kissing, and stuff, when they're hanging out and drinking alcohol and playing games like truth or dare", he said. "...they're not just going around making out at any given moment of the day okay. It's just... as I said, with those games and stuff when they're drinking or something like that", Josh said. Colin nodded softly. "...meaning..?" He trailed.
"...meaning that uh, four years or so ago, when I spent time at Steve's place with them... we did truth or dare, and there were some dares with, like, kisses as in just pecks... Steve and Lucas actually kissed once, but that's irrelevant... Uhm, what is relevant is that the questions were pretty intimate and sexual sometimes, and they asked me beforehand if i was okay with those type of things and I agreed. Uhm... Steve always uses this app, so it's not any of us coming up with questions for each other. It's... random questions from a generator", he clarified.
"...Tyler, he- well it's not like kissing, but he gave me, like... a kiss, a peck, on my lips... that time", he said. "Nooooo!!", Colin let himself fall back on the bed, his hands in the air. "You kissed Tyler years ago?!" He whisper-yelled. "No- I- it was just a peck", Josh said. "So you kissed Tyler!" Fred said. "Shush!" Josh whined. "Let me finish!"
"Okay okay! Okay fine", Colin said as he sat back up. "Please, do continue", he said. "Thanks", Josh rolled his eyes. "At that time I was 18 so I couldn't drink yet so they wouldn't let me", Josh said. "Oh that's good, they're responsible", Fred noted. "They are", Josh said with a soft smile. "Uhm... this time..."
"What do you mean this time", Colin said as he stared at Josh, his eyes piercing through his soul. "Is that how you got the- Wait, no, I'll let you finish", Fred said. Josh let out a soft groan as he buried his face in his hands.
"They asked me to stay over, you guys told me I should, I said yes, they proposed some games and drinks", Josh continued. "We first did never have I ever and we got quite tipsy because of that 'cause these questions had us drink quite a bit", Josh said. "Then... Luke proposed truth or dare, I figured it would be similar to the last time so I said yes to, like, sexual or intimate questions and stuff", he said.
"...it was not even fucking close to last time though", Josh said as he looked at his hands nervously. "...I- I was so fucking drunk", he said. "Tyler too, Steve and Lucas were... it- fuck", Josh sighed. "I never- never thought that what happened would ever happen but it- honestly it feels like I dreamed it all but I didn't", Josh said.
"Okayyy now tell us what happened", Colin pressed. Josh let out a soft huff. "Uhm... not only the questions were intimate", he swallowed a bit difficultly. "Started with Steve getting a dare to kiss my neck and give me a hickey..." he trailed as he gently pulled his shirt down a bit to show the one right under his collarbone. "and a dare where Tyler... licked my neck", Josh said. "Oh Jesus Christ", Fred muttered. "Lucas and Tyler kissed, Tyler and Steve made out... got increasingly drunk", he said. "...Steve and I made out, then-"
"Woah whoa wait, excuse me! You're just gonna try and brush over the fact that you and Steve made out?!" Colin asked. "Yeah, yeah I am! 'Cause I don't fucking know how to tell you all of these things that fucking happened!" Josh said. "...What in the motherfucking goddamn ever loving fuck are you saying, Josh", Colin said.
Josh burst it all out like a waterfall. "I also kissed Lucas, I made out with Steve while straddling his lap, I kissed Steve twenty fucking times in a row when he did push ups over me, Tyler licked my neck, I kissed his, he's got several of my hickeys on his body, I got several of his, I made out with Tyler a few times, sucked on his fingers, sat in his lap, kissed his bare thighs, touched them for longer than I even thought was humanly possible with my hands, he gave me all of these on my torso while I had my hands tied behind my back, we made out when Tyler was blindfolded and didn't know who he was about to kiss, all of that happened! It wasn't a fucking dream, it really fucking happened and it drove me nuts! I was so fucking drunk and so fucking desperate and it's so fucking embarrassing but it happened! Tyler's got hickeys from all three of us, they took fucking body shots off each other and they made out, it was fucking insane and I- fuck! Fuck", Josh said.
Fred and Colin were dead quiet.
"...say something, anything. You're driving me even more nuts", Josh muttered. "I- okay... uhm", Fred said. "...uh... holy fucking shit, Josh", he said. Josh let out a scoff. "I... sorry but this needs some processing", he said. "Wait how many fucking hickeys were handed out like that?!" Colin said.
"I- I don't know... I got one from Steve and, like, seven or so from Tyler... I did t even count, maybe there's more", he muttered. "Steve got one from Lucas, Luke has one from Steve... Tyler... one from Steve, one from Luke, I think I left, like... uhm... one on his chest, two in his neck... I don't even know how many I left on his thighs", he muttered.
"Fucking hell, J", Colin softly said. "You never said your night was gonna be that wild when we said you were going to stay over!" "I didn't know!" Josh replied. "I didn't know that would happen! And after that it just got worse!"
"What do you mean it got worse!" Fred said. Josh closed his eyes as he rubbed his forehead. "...Ty and I shared a room and we- we uhm... made out more", he muttered. "He... we- we were... hugging", Josh muttered. "He came up with a truth or dare question that ended in me making out with him again... we were so fucking turned on", Josh said softly, shaking his head in shame. "In the bathroom I was so fucking stupid because of the fucking alcohol to ask a very drunken and turned on Tyler to show me what he had wished had been a dare..." he trailed, but he stopped talking. "...and then what", Fred asked. "I can't say", Josh said. "You can, you have to now! Tell us, you have to", Colin said.
"Fine", Josh sighed. "Got nothing left to lose now anyways. He... he grabbed me, made out with me, pushed me to the bed, pinned me down, took off my shirt, got on top of me as he hovered over me... he- jesus I can't believe I'm saying this", Josh muttered. "He... kissed sucked hickeys on my body and ground his hips against mine", he muttered. "You mean-" "Yes our fucking dicks against each other yes", Josh spat. "Fucking Christ. We were- we weren't naked but we were- were just in our fucking boxers", Josh muttered.
"...so how come we didn't get a... an obituary, or a condolence call instead today", Colin said. "No way our Josh survived that", Fred added. "Well I fucking didn't", Josh said. "The only thing that saved me is the fucking alcohol", he said. "I can't- I just can't believe you made out with Tyler multiple times. That's insane, J", Fred said. "I can't believe it either", Josh sighed. "My god. That whole list you just... well, you just listed..." Colin trailed. "How the fuck did you do all of that? I don't get how our Josh did that!" Colins aid. "I don't either! I don't fucking know what came over me but clearly there's something very wrong with me 'cause I let it all happen and I don't fucking regret it!" Josh said.
"...okay but I'm glad you don't", Fred said. "I would've been feeling way worse if you had regretted it", he said. "...I agree with that", Colin said. "But... what the fuck J", he said. "Okay stooop", Josh whined. "I know how bad it is! I know I shouldn't have, we all fucking know we shouldn't have let that happen and I'm in so fucking deep, I don't fucking know what to feel or what to do, I don't know", Josh sighed as he, again, buried his hands in his face.
"...You mean as in... how much you like him now?" Fred asked. "But he already did", Colin said. "I know, but-", Fred said. "No shush, shut up", Josh said. "I don't like him! I don't. I don't like Tyler", he said. "...okay we know that's a lie", Colin said. "It's not! I don't like him. I'm not in love. I don't", Josh said. "...c'mon J, you already admitted that to both of us before", Fred said. Josh let out a groan. "I just- I can't lilke him! I can't. I just- I can't", Josh sighed. "Why?" Colin asked. "Why can you not like him?"
"Because he... it's Tyler", Josh said. "...but what if he likes you?" Fred asked. "He doesn't, not at all", Josh replied. "How do you know? Him making out with you multiple times, even after the game... grinding against you, him being so turned on because of you - how do you know all of that would just mean nothing?" Colin asked. "Because he told me!" Josh said. Fred and Colin were quiet.
"What the fuck do you mean he told you!" Fred burst out. "Don't fucking tell me you actually talked about you guys being potentially interested in each other?!" Colin gasped. "No! No, no not like that!" Josh said. "He just- he asked me if we could talk this morning - er, afternoon - so we... did", Josh said. "And he said he wanted to make sure we were on the same page and we had to take like twenty steps back and... not do this stuff", Josh said. "...'cause he doesn't want it to interfere with our friendship and he called me his friend multiple times. So", Josh said.
"...so he friendzoned you?" Colin said. "That's not friend-zoning! They just saw each other thrice ever since they haven't seen each other for several years. Saying you need to take a few steps back is not him friendzoning Josh", Fred said. "...kinda felt like it", Josh said. "Wh- no, c'mon now", Fred said. "Is it weird that he asked you that? Is it bad that he called you his friend? I'd say that's a win, since you didn't speak for four years!" Fred said.
"...I know, you're right", Josh said. "And I gotta say... I was kind of relieved too? Knowing he doesn't have these high expectations and all that... Or any expectations at all", he said. "We're just... normal now", Josh said. "No tension about... about what happened and all that", he said. "Which I am genuinely happy about 'cause since we didn't say anything about it at first it just started to make me super nervous and freak me out. But we cleared that up so that's good", Josh said. "I just- I feel like I was just there and I was lucky that I was there in that moment but he obviously will never like me and even though he said he was gonna reach out when I go back home to LA and all that... that probably won't happen", Josh said.
"It's just gonna be a memory that I have to live with and realize that it's never gonna be more than that", he said.
"I think you're being too negative", Fred said. "Tyler said that to protect and preserve your relationship, your friendship", he said. "I mean, I hope so", Josh said. "He did say he didn't want to risk losing the friendship he had by doing things like that now 'cause he wasn't sure how it was gonna affect us, so..." he trailed.
"So don't be so negative and don't just give up all hope at once", Fred said. "Tyler saying those things is a huge win and a green flag. He appreciates you! He's not just out for sex or whatever", Fred said.
"No he- you're right", Josh blushed. "He's not... he said that a few times yesterday", Josh said. Colin's jaw dropped all over again. "He said what?!" he asked. "Just that- that we shouldn't have sex! 'Cause we were both drunk and all that..." Josh trailed.
"Oh sweet Jesus Tyler was thinking of having sex with Josh", Colin muttered. "Holy fuck", Fred said softly. "He was not!" Josh said. "Okay then why the heeeell would he eeeever say 'hey uhhhh we shouldn't have sex 'cause we can't consent when we're drunk' huh?! What was his reason for saying that other than him thinking of having sex with you?!" Colin said.
Josh wanted to say something, but no words came out. He let out a groan as he turned around ahd he buried his face in the pillow. "I don't know how I'm ever gonna survive", Josh mutterd. "I- I can't- I can't believe any of this happened and that- that he might actually have thought of that and- f-fuck", Josh sighed. "I- I just don't know what to do, how to ever face him again, how to act", he mumbled.
Fred and Colin crawled closer to Josh, both laying down on either side of Josh. "Y'know what you're gonna do?" Fred said as he grabbed Josh's hand. "You're gonna be Josh. The sweet, loving, caring guy you always are around us. You're just gonna be yourself", he said.
"And just... let this all play out okay? Just let it happen", Colin said. "Whether you're gonna marry Tyler or be his friend from LA", he said. Josh let out a laugh. "No one's getting married", he chuckled. "You never know! 'Cause we now know you have an actual shot", he smiled. "I don't", Josh saidn with a soft sigh. "...I don't know, a gay man making out with you and pinning you down on the fucking bed while genuinely thinking of sleeping with you, who then wants to take a step back 'cause he doesn't wanna lose you and ruin what you have? Doesn't sound like someone you don't have a chance with", Colin shrugged.
"I- no, no that- that's just not gonna happen", Josh sighed softly. "It's too... too surreal. It's not", he said. "I just... just hope we can genuinely remain friends", he said softly. "That's al I want. I don't- I don't need anything more", he said. "I just... truly hope we can keep that friendship", he said.
"Let's just let it happen, like Colin said", Fred said. "You're just gonna be Tyler's friend, and as long as he's okay with you being you and he likes you, then just... be his friend for as long as feels right", Fred said. "And just don't think about whether you got a chance with him or not. Just let it happen and see what it'll bring", he said.
Josh let out a soft sigh. "...okay", he said. "I-I'm just glad I got to tell you 'cause it was all gonna break me from the inside out", Josh said. "Yeah I cannot believe they just said you could tell us all of this", Colin said. Josh shrugged softly. "I mean... they're really sweet, and really considerate", he said. "They said they were looking after me and didn't want me to bottle it up if I needed to talk about it... and they didn't wanna be my only option to talk to since I kissed all of them", he said. "Gosh, saying that sounds like a fucking lie", Josh said. "But that happened! You kissed them all!" Colin said. "It doesn't feel like it!" Josh sighed.
"Who was the best kisser", Fred asked with a grin. "I- c'mon now", Josh whined softly. "No, we want details! Tell us", Colin said. Josh sighed. "I mean... I didn't make out with Lucas, which I'm glad about", he said. "We just kissed... it was still a big deal but I'm just glad it didn't have to go further 'cause there's something between Lucas and me that jut feels... good", he said. "And Lucas agreed that he was glad it was just kissing so we wouldn't ruin that", he said.
"But Steve..." he trailed, then blushed. "He blew my fucking mind", Josh said with a soft laugh. "He's so insanely hot, it's... it's unreal! He's got these warm and strong but yet soft hands, even though he plays guitar... he looks intimidating and extremely hot but he's a real considerate, sweet person that genuinely wants you to be comfortable... first one I made out with was Steve and it was just fucking insane to me", Josh said.
"And it's embarrassing how much that turned me on too", he blushed. "But so was Steve..." he trailed. "Wh- you said you were straddling his lap during that!" Fred said. "I was..." Josh trailed. "While you were hard?! Did you- ...y'know... feel it?" Colin asked. "Uh-huh", Josh softly said. "I did", he blushed.
"Oh Jesus fuck I'm so jealous", Fred said. "Hell, even I am jealous!" Colin said, and it made them laugh. "It wasn't with my hands or anything! Just.. kind of... rubbed because I was... on his lap", he said. "Fucking hell J", Colin laughed. "I can't believe that!" he said. "Me neither", Josh was as red as a tomato.
"And then with Tyler after that too! You said he was only wearing boxers?" he asked. "Wh... uh, yeah", Josh blushed even deeper red. "...was very clear how turned on he was", he blushed. "I cannot believe we're having this conversation with you right now", Fred chuckled. "So? How was it?" He said. "I didn't see him naked!" Josh said. "But you saw enough!" Fred replied. "I- I mean- it... it looked... nice", Josh blushed, staring up at the ceiling. "It... felt nice, when we... y'know', he said. "I mean, it wasn't like, humongous or anything but it looked... kind of... perfect", Josh said softly.
"Gosh you're so in love", Colin said. "Am not", Josh replied. "Oh you are", Fred smiled. "And thank God he's not humongous 'cause we don't wnt you to be ripped in half."
"I'm not gonna have sex with Tyler!" Josh said. "You're right! We're not sure yet", Colin said. Josh let out a whine. "Why am I even discussing the size of Tyler's dick with you guys", he huffed. "I need to shut my fucking mouth."
"Isn't that what gay friends do?" Fred chuckled. "One of us is not gay", Josh said. "Yeah I don't fucking care, I'm interested in his dick too!" Colin said. "Oh my god you two are the worst", Josh groaned as he covered his face with his hands.
And whether he felt like he might've given too much information, Josh also felt at ease, and like a huge relief fell off his shoulders. For the first time since he found out Tyler was gay and Steve and Lucas were too, he didn't have to keep it to himself. He didn't have to hide what had happened between them, 'cause they were allowed to know now. It felt so much better to not have to keep all of these secrets on his own. He was so grateful that he got to tell his two best friends. No matter whether they asked too many questions or annoyed him by what they said; he didn't want it any other way. He adored them, and he trusted them with everything he had.
Fred and Colin were Josh's safe have, his safe space, and he was so grateful for them.
"...oh and by the way...", Josh said. "For the rest of our time in Detroit... I'll be staying at Steve's." Both Colin and Fred sat up at that.

Only one more chapter in this book after this one. Then we're off to the next book <3 so ICYMI, there's a book called Let's Recelebrate - Book 2, that'll be the direct continuation of this story - it's not a sequel, or anything like that. It's literally just a continuation because I didn't realize we couldn't have more than 200 parts in a story lol. That's the reason why we'll be moving to book 2.
