Almost a week goes by. Bella was at school, being careful to stay away from Sam. But she couldn't avoid watching him stare at her. It was frightening.
But during gym class, something happened. The class was running the trail. Bella was further behind from the rest of the class. She wanted to take her time. Not rush. What she didn't know is that someone was following her. An unknown assailant hits her from behind and Bella blacks out.
When Bella blinks her eyes open, darkness surrounds her. It was nightime. She could feel pain in her hands so when she looks down, her hands and legs are ties around the chair. Belle struggles to get free
"Welcome back to sanity, Bella." Deucalion's voice snaps her head up and she stares at the blind man
"You bastard!" Bella yells
"No need for harsh words, sweetheart."
"What do you want?" Bella growls 'Where am I?"
Her body is full of sweat and her breath is controllable. SHe looks around and sees that she is in an old abandoned building.
"Easy Bella. I can sense your fear, though I can't see but still." Deucalion smirks
Kali comes around and laughs
"What do you want?!" Bella screams
"You see Bella. Derek is an alpha. He has his own pack. My pack needs him but Derek is too stubborn to join the pack."
"That's Derek's problem! What does it have to do with me?"
"Oh, it's not what I want from Derek. It's what I want from you." Deucalion says
"Why? I'm nothing!"
"That's where you are wrong. You are something." Deucalion said as he moved closer. "You see, I remember when Talia told me that she had a niece who's been born. One born into the werewolf family. But, imagine my surprise when Talia told me that she took something from you."
"What are you talking about?" Bella grunts
"That you, my child, are a werewolf. Talia took it upon herself to suppress those abilities from you."
"You're lying!" Bella screams
"I can prove it." Deucalion smirked "Why Talia would take away a wolf's powers is beyond me. I can show you my memories. It is a gift that only Alphas can do."
Bella shook her head in frustration "I don't believe you. My father..."
"Your father never knew either.." Deucalion said as he put his hand out, revealing his claws. "And now he will."
Bella struggles in the chair "Stay away from me!"
"Don't worry. It'll all be over soon, my dear." Deucalion said as he dug his claws in the back of Bella's head, at the brain stem.
Bella screams in agony as images appear in her head. She arches her back to try and push Deucalion away but to no avail.
Images of her Aunt Talia flooded her mind.
"I have done something. Something that had to be done for the sake of my family" Talia said "I have a niece. Half werewolf, half coyote. The child shouldn't have to burden such incredible powers. I saw one of two ways to put a stop to it; Suppress her powers or to kill her. I couldn't bring myself to kill a newborn, so I took her powers. Peter doesn't even know. He believes the child was born human. Nevertheless, he is happy to father the child. It must remain that way. The truth must never come out."
Bella screamed as Deucalion retracted his claws. She began to hyperventilate as she tried to process the information
"It's not true!" she cried
"Oh but it is." said Deucalion "And I can give you your abilities back."
"Go to hell!" Bella cried
Deucalion moved closer, planting his palm on the top of Bella's head "You will learn to appreciate the gift you were born with."
Deucalion began to chant something, a foreign language. Bella arched her neck back as lots of noises were suddenly heard. It hurt her head. She could hear people, traffic, nature and more. She could smell dirt and gasoline and water. Bella suddenly felt instant anger rising in her as she digs her nails in her palm, causing it to bleed as her claws grew in.
Deucalion is laughing at her situation, amused as she struggles. Bella eventually broke free of her ties and fell to the ground as she screamed in agony. The screams turned into a howl, which spread across Beacon Hills.
Bella then shifted out of her control. She tries to roar which was cut off by Kali when she slashed her stomach repeatedly.
"Kali! What are you doing?!" Deucalion yells
"Seeing if she can heal now." Kali said as Bella pulls herself up to run "Now lets see how far she can go.
Bella ran but not fast enough. She clutches her stomach, panting heavily. She darted past every tree but no sign of civilization nearby.
"Help!" she screams
Kali snuck up behind her and pinned Bella down to the ground and continued to growl at her.
"Leave me alone!" Bella screams. Her eyes widened in pain. Kali pushed down on the wounds on Bella's stomach, making her gasp painfully. Bella could feel herself shift back as her vision starts to tunnel. Bella saw Kali grin in triumph before she was pulled off her abruptly
Bella gasped when Kali's hand left her stomach as she looked up to see who her savior was. Bella saw blurry figures fighting off Kali. Kali then runs off like a coward.
"Dad?" Bella questions softly
"No, no, no." The blurry figure rushed towards Bella's side as they applied pressure to the wound on her stomach
"Dad?"
"I'm here, sweetheart. I've got you." Peter stated as he picked Bella up bridal style and started running.
"Dad." Bella whimpered
"Just hand on, alright. I'm taking you to the hospital."
"...hurts" Belle said, causing Peter to run faster as he started to take some of her pain
"I know, sweetie. Just keep your eyes open. We're almost there." Peter stated as Belle dug her face into his chest lightly.
"I...am...wolf..." Bella said out of breath.
"What?"
"Talia...knew."
Bella was speaking every other word to the point that Peter couldn't understand. But he can sense that something's changed within her. He didn't know what. It was almost as if she was supernatural now. But it couldn't be. Why would Bella mention Talia?
But Peter had a feeling that Bella couldn't go to the hospital. Peter turned another way and didn't stop until he reached Deaton's.
"Deaton!" Peter called out as he barged in
"We're clos..." Deaton cut himself off as his footsteps stopped
"Please, help her. I can't lose her." Peter said
"Bring her back here, quickly." Deaton ordered
"Thank you." Peter sighed as he quickly took Bella to the back room.
"Lay her on the table" Deaton ordered
Peter laid Bella down but it didn't stop the hiss of pain that escaped from her lips. Peter stared at her worriedly as he grabbed her hand and started taking more of Bella's pain.
"I need to open her shirt up further." Deaton said as he cut Bella's shirt some more, revealing the wounds. They were getting smaller and started to close up
"Look." said Peter "They're slowly healing."
"I thought she was human?"
"Something's changed." Peter said worriedly "I can smell it. She's turning into something."
"Dad." Bella called softly to get his attention. Peter's head snapped quickly as he looked at his daughter
"I'm right here, sweetie." Peter said with a soft smile
"I don't want to die, daddy." Bella stated in fear as tears ran down her face.
"You won't honey. Not while I can help it." Peter reassured her.
Deaton rushed over "This is going to hurt but I need you to stay still as possible, Bella. Thankfully, there is no internal damage so I can stitch you up easily, " Deaton instructed as he looked at her with concern in his eyes.
Bella nods as Deaton ripped some more of her shirt open and started to dab a cotton pad soaked in something on the wounds. Bella hisses in pain as her back arched off the cold table.
"Peter, you need to hold her down." Deaton ordered
Peter held Bella down to prevent her from moving much. Bella let out small screams and cries every few seconds as Deaton was stitching her up.
"We're almost done. Just a few more." Peter tries to comfort Bella as he continues to hold her down.
Deaton was soon finished stitching Bella up. Bella pants heavily as she tries to calm herself down. Peter just held on, not wanting to let her go. Bella was ready to pass out from exhaustion. Peter had his hand underneath her head for comfort while he took his other hand to hold Bella's hand.
"How did you find me?" Bella said weakly
"I was sitting at home when I noticed a note taped to one of the windows. It said 'I hope you can get your little girl before it's too late.'. I immediately ran out and tried to track you by scent. I went crazy for hours trying to find you. I then heard what sounded like you were screaming so I ran towards the sound until I came upon Kali standing over you." Peter explained.
Bella closed her eyes for a second before her head shot up when she heard a sniffle. Peter had tears streaked down his face. "I thought I'd lost you." he tells her.
"For a moment, so did I." Bella whispered
Peter nodded as he leaned over to kiss his daughter on the top of her forehead.
"I want to go home" Bella tells Peter
Peter asked Deaton if he could take her home.
"Yes, just as long as you keep an eye on her. I don't want her stitches ripping apart."
"I better call Derek. We're gonna need a ride"
Derek showed up at the clinic. He was so worried for his cousin. Peter carried Bella to the car. She had already passed out from exhaustion. Peter had Derek take them to the loft for the night as it was closer. WHen they got there, Peter carried Bella up to her old bedroom and carefully laid her down. He then sat on the edge of the bed, refusing to leave her side.
