It was a busy day in the hotel. Dracula and his hotel staff have become occupied more than ever because today was a special occasion to celebrate. Today was Mavis' 127th birthday.
Mavis was inside her and Johnny's room getting ready for her big day. In fact, she was so excited that she keeps her reminding her friends and families day after day and night after night.
While Mavis was choosing on what outfit she would wear for the party, all of her friends came in the room and surprised her.
HANK, PEDRO, WENDY, SOPHIE, and CHARLOTTE: HI, MAVIS!!!!
MAVIS: Whoa! You guys, what are you doing here?
HANK: We drop by to wish you a happy birthday.
WENDY, SOPHIE, and CHARLOTTE: Happy birthday, Mavis!!!
MAVIS: Aww.... Thanks, guys. You guys are the best!
Mavis and her friends gathered all together in a group hug.
PEDRO: So when's the party gonna start?
MAVIS: Dad is still setting up the decorations in the ballroom, so I'm guessing the party doesn't start for a few hours.
WENDY: That's alright, Mavis. We don't care what time the party starts. All we care about is just spending time with you.
Wendy said as she lovingly hugged Mavis, who hugged her gooey friend back. Watching this made the werewolf twins, Sophie and Charlotte, jealous.
SOPHIE: Uh, you're not the only who wants to spend time with Mavis, Wendy.
CHARLOTTE: Yeah, Wendy.
Before the girls' rivalry started heat up, Mavis broke the silence before anything gets worse.
MAVIS: (*clears throat) You know if it means that much for you, I'm happy enough to spend time with girls.
WENDY, SOPHIE, and CHARLOTTE: Yay! We love you, Mavis!
The girls cheered as they both hugged Mavis at the same time.
Mavis, Hank, Pedro, Wendy, Sophie, and Charlotte spent the entire day talking and laughing at the fun memories they had during Mavis' teenage years.
Hours later, the night has come to celebrate Mavis' 127th birthday party. She was still in her room and decided to wear her mother's dress that she wore on her 115th birthday/Fangceañera and the Dracula cape she earned that same night.
Dracula and Martha entered her room to check on their daughter and greeted her happily.
DRACULA: Mavy!
MAVIS: Daddy!
Mavis squealed as she hugged Dracula tightly around her arms. She then moved on to her mother and hugged her tightly as well.
MARTHA: Happy Birthday, my beautiful baby.
MAVIS: Aww... thanks, mom.
Both Dracula and Martha notices at the dress that Mavis was wearing and they loved it.
DRACULA: Oh, honey bat. You look so gorgeous on that dress.
MARTHA: Wait, is that my dress?
MAVIS: Dad gave it to me in my Fangceañera. If you want it back.....
MARTHA: No no no, honey. It's all yours. Besides, I think it looks beautiful on you.
DRACULA: Most of the guess are excited to see the birthday girl downstairs. I have so many surprises for you. Woohoo!
MAVIS: Ohhh! I can't wait for it, dad!
MARTHA: Well, we don't want to keep everyone waiting downstairs. Let's go.
MAVIS: You know, I really love celebrating my birthday every year with the entire family. But for the very first time, I never thought there would be a day that I finally got to enjoy my special day with you, mom. I feel like everything is perfect and I don't want to change that.
Mavis immediately went over to her parents and embraced them in a big hug. She even let out a few tears of joy. Dracula and Martha hugged their daughter back and was proud how she has grownup to be.
MARTHA: Oh, Mavis.....
DRACULA: No matter how many years we celebrate your birthday, you'll always be our cute little tarantula.
Right on cue, Johnny and Dennis came in the room both wearing their suit and tie. Dennis brought Winnie along with them but however, Johnny tried his best to pretend his excited but the truth is that he is still feeling guilty about what happened to Gordon.
Johnny's depression was temporarily replaced by a cheerful way when he saw how mesmerizing Mavis is in her dress. The closest he could remember was her 118th birthday and their wedding night.
JOHNNY: Wow. You look beautiful.
MAVIS: Thanks.
Johnny slowly smiled as he was still mesmerized at Mavis' beauty like he was hypnotized. Mavis just simply blushed at Johnny's reply.
DENNIS: Happy Birthday, mommy!
WINNIE: Hi, Mavis. Dennis made you a birthday card.
When Dennis handed Mavis her birthday card, her melted that how adorable it was that her 5 year-old son would make a cute special gift for her mother.
MAVIS: Oh, honey. This is so beautiful. Thank you.
DENNIS: You're welcome, mommy. Me and daddy love you so much.
When Mavis carries Dennis on her arms, she decided to playfully tickle his tummy making him giggle.
JOHNNY: And I actually I wanna give you something.
MAVIS: Oh? Is it my birthday present?
JOHNNY: I guess you could say that, if you'll like it.
Johnny replied with a nervous smile. When Mavis opened the small box, she was awed at a pearl necklace inside the box.
MAVIS: What's this?
JOHNNY: It belonged to my mother when I was a kid. I had it fixed up and I want you to have it.
MAVIS: Oh, Johnny. You shouldn't have. But are you sure about giving away your mom's necklace?
JOHNNY: I'm okay with it. Besides, I think they would look better on you.
Mavis smiled at her husband as she turns around while Johnny helped her put the necklace around her neck.
MAVIS: Oh, honey. They're beautiful.
JOHNNY: Not as beautiful as you right now, babe.
Johnny embraced Mavis in a hug while Mavis kissed him on the cheek which made him blush. Dracula and Martha smiled at the two zingers and Dennis giggled at his parents' moment.
Mavis and her parents already planned and agreed on turning Johnny into a vampire after the party ends. Mavis was nervous and excited that she will able to spend her eternity with Johnny.
Johnny on the other hand, wants to Mavis the TRUTH because he didn't want to put his family in any danger and he also don't want to lie to Mavis anymore. Johnny couldn't shake the thought of what will Mavis, Dracula, and others will think of him now.
In the ballroom, friends and families have greeted Mavis a happy birthday and enjoyed the rest of the night. Mavis' birthday party was a blast that she had the time of her life. Some of the guests even enjoyed the food that was prepared for them. Mavis also received many gifts from her friends and families. Everyone also danced at the heavy music with Johnny on his DJ station.
The heavy music was soon replaced by a slow song with couples dancing at the dance floor. Dracula wanted to dance with Mavis for her special night as the guests awed at their precious father and daughter moment.
In the dance floor, Dracula prepared his ukulele and sang a song for Mavis similar to what he did on her and Johnny's wedding night. Dracula wanted to sing the song that he used to sing for Mavis when she was still a little girl back then.
My beautiful baby
Let me wipe your poop away
Those humans are nasty
So, with daddy you will stay
And, if a human tries to harm you
I'll simply say....
Because you're Daddy's Girl, Daddy's Girl.....
Some of the guests were completely startled at Dracula's roar but overall, they enjoyed his small presentation for Mavis and applauded for him. Mavis didn't mind her father roar at all in fact, she also loved what her dad got for her.
Mavis ran to her father and hugged him. Dracula smiled and gently hugged Mavis back.
DRACULA: I love you, Mavy-Wavy.
MAVIS: I love you too, daddy.
All of the guests released a few 'aww's watching Dracula and Mavis at the dance floor. Martha and Johnny let out a few tears of joy.
Everyone continued and enjoyed their slow dance with their zings. Johnny got Blobby to replace him as the DJ and took this opportunity to dance with Mavis. Meanwhile, Dennis and Winnie also joined the dance floor while the guests couldn't help it but cooed and giggled at the two children.
Mavis kept smiling at Johnny. He tried his best to form a fake smile but unfortunately, Mavis was too smart to figure out what was bothering her husband.
MAVIS: Are you alright?
When Mavis called her attention, Johnny's smile slowly faded and was replaced by a worried one.
JOHNNY: Mavis.... I have to tell you something.
MAVIS: Seriously, Johnny. Is everything okay?
JOHNNY: No.... it's not okay.
MAVIS: What are you talking about?
JOHNNY: I'm so sorry, Mavis. I wish could've told you this sooner. I just don't want to put everyone close to me in danger and I don't want to lie to you anymore.
MAVIS: Johnathan, you're scaring me. What's going on?
Mavis said while raising her voice a little with a worried tone combined with a little bit mad. She only addresses him as 'Johnathan' whenever she is really serious or angry.
Johnny closed his eyes and took a deep breath finding enough strength to tell her the truth. Johnny gently held both Mavis' hands and made eye contact with her blue eyes.
JOHNNY: Mavis.... I'm Ba.....
Johnny was suddenly cut off when something interrupted them and the entire guests. Van Helsing and the Arkham Knight have broke in the hotel.
