{Later That Night}
Tony and Bruce acquired the Cradle thanks to Daryl flying back to the tower with it. Unfortunately, Andrea was kidnapped by Ultron and he was going to stop at nothing to track her.
Tony convinced Bruce on an idea he had: to integrate JARVIS, who turned out to still be alive and working, into the synthetic body Ultron was trying to build in the Cradle. Bruce at first refused, and brought up how he also wanted your input on it. But, Tony had his way with words, and the scientist agreed to help him.
The two were in the lab about done integrating JARVIS's AI into the body, and that's when you, Steve, Wanda, and Pietro walk in. You see what they're doing and know what your friend is up to. You take off your mask as Steve speaks.
Steve: I'm only going to say this once.
Tony looks up from the console.
Tony: How about none-ce?
You: Shut it down, Tony.
Tony: Nope, my friend. Not gonna happen. We're just about done.
Steve: You don't know what you're doing.
Bruce looks at the Captain and at Wanda behind him.
Bruce: And you do? She's not in your head?
Wanda: I know you're angry.
Bruce: Oh, we're way past that. I can choke the life out of you and never change a shade.
You walk closer.
You: Bruce, after everything that's happened—
Tony interrupts you.
Tony: It's nothing compared to what's coming!
Wanda: You don't know what's in there.
Steve: This ain't a game, Stark!
You all continue arguing while Pietro stands around. He then uses his super-speed to run over and unplug the Cradle from its power source. He drops the plug in front of Banner.
Pietro: No, no. Go on. You were saying?
Suddenly, the glass beneath Pietro gets shot and he falls through. Daryl stands over, and smirks.
Daryl: What? You didn't see that coming?
Back up top, Tony looks over at the console and begins typing.
Tony: I'm rerouting the upload.
Steve throws his shield at the Cradle, which bounces around the room. Tony summons one of his gauntlets and aims at Steve. You shoot a web at his arm and cause him to miss.
Wanda tries to use her powers, but Banner grabs her from behind.
Bruce: Go ahead. Piss me off.
Wanda nonchalantly knocks him back with her magic.
Steve charges at Tony while he summons his chest piece armor. He blasts Steve back, and you run over and try to grab Tony. He pushes you off and tries to elbow you, but you web his arm to the pillar near him.
You: That's a no-no, brother.
Tony charges had arc reactor and shoots you with a beam, knocking you back several yards. You forgot he could do that.
Tony: Made you look.
Amidst the fighting, Thor suddenly flies in. He leaps onto the Cradle and starts summoning lighting into Mjölnir.
Bruce: Wait!
Thor brings down the hammer and overloads the Cradle. Seconds later, it breaks open. Thor is launched back, and the synthetic androids rises from within.
It looks around, and everybody in the room looks on in awe. The synthezoid eyes Thor, and pounces.
Thor counters his attack and throws the being out the window into the main lounge. It flies across the room before stopping at the window overlooking the city.
You, Steve, and Thor are the first enter the room. The Asgardian motions at you to stay back as he starts approaching it. Everybody else walks into the main lounge as the synthezoid hovers over and lands beside Thor.
???: I am sorry. That was...odd.
The being looks at Thor, and out of respect, summons a cape similar to his.
Steve: Thor, you helped create this?
Thor: I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life, and at its center...
Thor points at the yellow stone in the android's forehead.
Thor: ...is that.
Bruce: What? The gem?
Thor: It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones. The greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities.
You: Then why would you bring—
Thor: Because Stark is right.
You: Jesus...it's definitely the end of the world.
Thor: The Avengers can't defeat Ultron.
???: Not alone.
Steve: Why does your Vision sound like Jarvis?
Tony: We configured Jarvis's matrix to create something new.
You: So like...JARVIS 2.0?
Tony: Something like that.
You: You give him a name or is it actually JARVIS 2.0?
Tony: Didn't go that far because you stumbled in and tried to fight me.
You shrug and face the synthezoid.
You: Well...Thor's Vision. What are you?
???: You all think I'm a child of Ultron.
Steve: You're not?
???: I'm not Ultron. I am not Jarvis. I am...
You: Vision.
You look around to see the expressions of your teammates, who don't say a word.
You: Seems all right to me.
Vision: Vision. I am Vision.
Wanda steps closer to the synthezoid.
Wanda: I looked into your head. I saw annihilation.
Vision: Look again.
Daryl: Her seal of approval means jack to me.
Thor: Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all come from the Mind Stone. And they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side..
Steve: Is it? Is it on our side?
He looks at Vision, who pauses for a moment.
Vision: I don't think it's that simple.
You: Well, it better get real simple real soon.
Vision: I'm on the side of life. Ultron isn't. He will end it all.
Tony: What's he waiting for?
Vision looks at his creator.
Vision: You.
Bruce: Where?
Daryl: Sokovia. Andrea is there, too.
Bruce: If we're wrong about you...if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be...
Vision: What will you do?
Nobody says a thing. Vision continues.
Vision: I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the Earth. So, he just be destroyed.
Vision grabs Mjölnir, which was resting on the table, and hands it to Thor.
Vision: We need to go.
Thor looks at it in confusion, as do the rest of you. Thor takes the hammer as Vision walks away.
You: I guess it wasn't rigged.
Thor: Right...
Still flabbergasted, Thor pats Tony on the shoulder.
Thor: Well done.
Steve looks at the rest of the group. It was time to go to Sokovia and take down Ultron for good.
Steve: Three minutes. Get what you need.
