Steve enters the lab, and places a weapon on the table.
Steve: Phase 2 is S.H.I.E.L.D uses the Cube to make weapons. Sorry, the computer was moving a little slow for me.
Jesus puts his hands on his waist and walks up to Cap.
Jesus: Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. This does not mean we're making—
Tony: I'm sorry, Paul.
Jesus looks at Stark after he mentioned his first name. Tony turns the screen towards him and shows the blueprints of the weapons S.H.I.E.L.D planned on building.
Tony: What were you lying?
You cross your arms.
You: What is this, Director?
Andrea and Thor walk into the lab. Bruce points at the agent.
Bruce: Did you know about this?
Andrea: You want to think about removing yourself from this environment, Doctor?
Bruce chuckles.
Bruce: I was in Calcutta. I was pretty well removed.
Andrea gets closer to Banner.
Andrea: Loki is manipulating you.
Bruce: And you've been doing what exactly?
Andrea: You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you.
Bruce: Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy.
Bruce scoffs and then goes over to the computer screen.
Bruce: I'd like to know why S.H.I.E.L.D is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction.
Jesus points at Thor.
Jesus: Because of him.
Thor raises a brow and looks around.
Thor: Me?
You: Really, Jesus?
Jesus shakes his head.
Jesus: Last year, Earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned.
Thor: My people want nothing but peace with your planet.
Jesus: But you're not the only people out there, are you? And you're not the only threat.
He turns to each and every one of you.
Jesus: The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, that can't be controlled.
Steve: Like you controlled the cube?
Thor gets closer to Jesus.
Thor: Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it and his allies. It is a signal to all the realms that the Earth is ready for a higher form of war.
You: Wait? A higher form?
Jesus: You forced our hand. We had to come up with something—
Tony: A nuclear deterrent. Because that always calms everything right down.
Jesus turns around to face Tony.
Jesus: Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark.
Steve: I'm sure if he still made weapons, Stark would be neck-deep—
Tony: Wait, wait. Hold on. How is this now about me?
Steve: I'm sorry isn't everything?
Thor: I thought humans were more evolved than this.
Jesus: Excuse me, did we come to your planet and blow stuff up?
Thor: You treat your champions with such mistrust.
Andrea: Are you boys really that naive? S.H.I.E.L.D monitors all potential threats.
Bruce: Captain America is a threat?
Andrea: We all are.
You: Excuse me? You're saying I'm a threat?
Jesus looks at you.
Jesus: Every super powered being should be seen as one. Worse come to worse—
You: I've been protecting my city for almost a decade now, keeping some very nasty sons of bitches from hurting people. Now you're saying I should be watched?
Andrea: That's not what Jesus is saying.
You: Where were you guys when The New Frontier was at its peak? When six of my greatest foes escaped the Raft? No one was there to help in the beginning.
Jesus: We had much bigger things to deal with.
Bruce: Yeah, like tracking me. Right?
You all continued arguing amongst each other. Meanwhile, the scepter seemed to be emitting some faint noise.
Thor: You speak of control yet you court chaos.
Bruce: That's his M.O, isn't it? I mean what are we, a team? No, we're a chemical mixture that makes chaos. We're a time bomb.
Jesus: You need to step away.
Tony: Why shouldn't the guy let off a little steam?
Tony puts a hand on Steve's shoulder, who quickly brushes it away.
Steve: You know damn well why. Back off!
Tony: I'm starting to want you to make me.
Steve chuckles and gets closer to him.
Steve: Yeah. Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off what are you?
Tony: Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.
Andrea is impressed at his comeback.
Steve: I know guys with none of that worth ten of you. I've seen the footage. The only thing you really right for is yourself.
Tony silently stares at Cap.
Steve: You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you.
Tony: I think I would just cut the wire.
Steve looks over the team, who simply give intrigued looks.
Steve: Always a way out. You may not be a threat, but you better stop pretending to be a hero.
Tony didn't like that comment. He rebuttals.
Tony: A hero? Like you? You're a laboratory experiment, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle.
Steve nods.
Steve: Put on the suit. Let's go a few rounds.
Thor laughs, and you look at him.
Thor: You people are so petty, and tiny.
You: Yeah, this is quite a team.
Jesus: Agent Romanoff, would you escort Dr. Banner back to his room.
Bruce: Where? You rented my room.
Jesus: The cell was just in case—
Bruce: In case you needed to kill me. But you can't. I know, I tried.
Bruce explains how while in hiding he tried to commit suicide, but his Hulk self stopped the attempt. He moved on and began helping people overseas.
Bruce: Now you dragged me back into this freak show.
He looks at Andrea.
Bruce: You want to know my secret, Agent Romanoff? You want to know how I stay calm?
You all notice Bruce reaching for the scepter. Jesus and Andrea put their hands on their holsters.
Steve: Dr. Banner, put down the scepter.
Bruce looks down, and sees that he's holding Loki's scepter. Suddenly, a console in the lab chimes, informing the group that the Tesseract was located.
Bruce puts the scepter back down and goes over to check.
Thor: The Tesseract belongs on Asgard. No human is match for it.
Tony: I can get there faster.
Steve holds Tony back as he tries to walk away.
Steve: You're not going alone.
Tony pulls his arm away.
Tony: You're gonna stop me?
Steve: Put on the suit, let's find out.
Tony: I'm not a afraid to hit an old man.
You walk up to the two.
You: Christ, make up already. If not I'll find a way to get it myself.
Suddenly, your spider-sense goes off. Based on how hard it blared, you know what to expect.
You: Everybody out—
A part of the Hellicarrier explodes, and the blast travels all the way into the lab.
