I laid in my bed crying my eyes out.
My momma called me, "Hello ?" I said in a cracked voice.
"Hey baby! I'm off work...I was going to stop at the furniture store and grab you a couch. I took out a loan yesterday."
"Momma, I need them pictures Charles took of Greg and I on home coming night.." I changed the subject.
"Umm ok...is everything ok ?" She asked me concerned.
"No...."
"What's the problem? Your child's father ? Did he do something??"
"No.!" I cried.
"Umm..ok..well I will stop by and grab the photos then come right over..I'll get the couch tomorrow."
I waited until my mom came.
I cried on my bed, shaking.
I never took death well at all.
I was a reck when my dad died.
I grabbed my dad's photo album from out one of my bags and started looking through them.
I had over 100 pictures. 100 memories.
My eyes were red and puffy.
What happened ? I needed answers.
He was my friend! The last time I talked to him, I had an attitude with him because he wouldn't give me the 500 dollars for my abortion.
I was petty, and wrong.
I couldn't take it back now. He was gone forever.
My mom came over and sat on my air mattress with me, "Here." She handed me 3 pictures of Greg and I on homecoming night.
We looked so nice together.
I stared at the pictures and cried some more.
I laid my head on my mother's shoulder, "He's gone momma! He died."
I cried so hard soaking her shirt.
"OH BABY!" She comforted me hugging me tight.
"What happened ?" She asked picking up my photo album of my dad.
"I don't know ! I seen it on Facebook !"
She held me for about 30 minutes while I cried against her.
She was humming a church song my grandma used to hum to me when I was a little child.
It was making me feel better.
"Can you spend the night with me please ?" I asked her softly.
She sighed , " Charles want me to be home for a surprise tonight..how bout you come with me."
