That night y/n sat on the bed looking at the window, she has been staring outside for good 30 mins now and from there she heard a soft knock from the window, smiling, she hurriedly walked her way to open the window pane and there she saw a very familiar face. A man with brown hair tied into a pony smirk at her, the knowing face was not a threat to her and with that y/n opened her window wide for the man to enter.

" greetings, pardon if I am late" he smiled once more, y/n nodded before smiling back at him " it's been a while Naib" with that the man nodded, Naib is one of the few closest person in y/n's life he was not part of the royal family and not part of the royal army so he don't see her often unlike Emily. But Naib was a very close friend to her, when he heard y/n will be leaving for another country he decided to follow her and still be at service. He was in debt to y/n and he owe his life to her.

( Flash Back) The princess was still young at that time and they were outside the village to stroll with Emily, they came up into a slave selling market where y/n saw the young Naib being maltreated. She hurriedly protected him not caring what will the people think of her, thankfully no one knows her face and can't even recognized her to the people who was watching she was just a normal noble.

" what are you doing?" the little girls voice was solid and holds so much meaning, the man who was overseeing the happening stutter back as he saw the noble protecting the child. It was not a big deal to sell slaves not like the king will know the village head had a partnership with this merchant that he will never let him get discovered in selling. He has been doing this for years and yet not a noble try to interfere?. What would happen if the noble decided to talk about it to her parents and this being informed to the king will be very dangerous? He eyed the young noble as y/n help the little boy not long y/n turned her head back to the merchant but before she can speak the man spoke " get them and don't let them get away" Emily's eyes turned dark as she heard what the man said, it was never in her life that she thought the princess being treated like this and with that Emily lift her hand.

Before the merchant's man can attack, soldiers of the imperial palace walked in front of them protecting the princess. All eyes turned to what is happening why are the imperial soldiers here? Questions floats as they eyed the group of soldiers, the soldiers inside the palace were never to go out unless they are escorting a royal. The merchant's eyes widen as he realized what is happening, the little girl must be the young princess of the kingdom and with that merchant tried to make a run for it. Not long he was caught and imprisoned later that day to, the king decided to behead the merchant to serve as a sample for anyone who disobey him. The next week the head of the village was also sentenced to death and with that the princess was widely recognized as a hero in the small village.

" is he still not eating well?" y/n asked Emily as she young maid hold the princess hand, the boy they saved was taken care of as per request of the princess but the mental trauma of the boy was highly and not that easy to be cured. y/n eyed the door as she ponder what she can do for the young boy and with that she hurriedly tug Emily somewhere. After few hours she went back to the door with a tray of food, y/n saws the young child on the table place as she slowly walked toward him and with that the young boy look at her with confuse eyes. His eyes were sunk few marks of beating here and there but one thing that is noticeable is that soulless color of his eyes.

" hello there, are you feeling okay now ?" the question came as natural thing from the girl, hearing this the young boy almost flinch he wasn't used hearing such tender and concerning words and yet this girl just expresses her concern to him with such tender voice. The boy didn't answer but he nodded his head in agreement, y/n smiled at the small gesture before placing the tray of food on the table place, the eyes of the boy widen as he saw all difference of pudding and cake on the tray. Emily has been delivering and providing him food but this new set of colorful desserts was enough to get his attention.
