" Patricia, I will pay the queen a visit help me get ready" with the sound of her voice the lady in waiting stood to help her, and not that long she was already on her way to the chamber of the imperial queen. There is no way the Queen will be higher than the Empress and yet she was nothing compared to her. She was someone who Naib took loving and liking in those years she really did aim to be the empress but she didn't like the idea of taking duties and so then the queen came to be her support who could have ever thought that that woman will outshine her.

She knows it fully well, she was nothing she was only favored but when it comes to wisdom and knowledge she was nobody and she really wanted to keep her authority high then she needs to show the queen who really is the highest woman in the empire. As her walk echoes the halls of the palace, her lady in waiting follow not far behind her. Few eyes from the maids and from the soldier follow her she was known to be ruthless and short tempered Empress but they forces to make her look good in the publics eyes.

Her foot stops as she reached a familiar room, the decorated room only signify the high office of the queen she took no time to enter as the maid stay outside. Y/n just finish another paper placing it down on the stock of paper she finished earlier soon a sound came from the door as she was greeted by the empress, she gently stood her way as she welcomed the woman. " Greetings your grace the empress" y/n bow as she acknowledge the presence of the woman, Vera only scoff as she stride inside making herself sit on the velvet sofa.

She eyed the piles of papers in the desk as she look around the place, it was fully decorated enough for any noble man to work in. Her face shows anger and yet she didn't utter any word she then turns to y/n who was standing just in front of the table waiting for her to speak " I need you to do a tea time gathering proposal soon, I badly needed it since I needed to get it approved by his highness the emperor." She made sure to emphasize the title of the emperor, she slowly turned her eyes towards to y/n as the woman only eye her back.

" Sorry but I cannot do it right now, you see I need to finish these pile of work before I can work on that proposal" she said, Vera was angry as this it was like she don't want to do this job for the empress but y/n know well it was true that she needs to finish the pending paper works first before she can work on the other. But the foolish empress thought otherwise, the empress walk In front of her as she slap y/n hard on the cheeks. Emma who was there shriek in concern as the red color imprint on the queens face slowly burn in visible.

" I order you to do it right so what makes you say you won't do it? You are doing all my work you should know how important this social gathering it and yet you said you will not prioritize it?" y/n slowly touch her cheek as the burn slowly sting her cheeks it will leave a mark on her porcelain skin for a while and with few short reply she spoke once again " again your empress, I cannot do it right now for I will need to attend the political papers first" Vera was fuming with anger she stood her ground as she spoke treat to the new queen.

" you will pay for this, I will make sure the emperor will know about this" and with that she hurriedly walk her way out the room, Emma semi run towards the queen but before she can speak gentle words the queen halt her " no need to worry I am fine" and with that she sat back on her chair as she continue to work on the papers on her table. Emma was concern about what happened and she really look up to the queen, she shows no emotions on what happened only the thought of work was vivid on her eyes. Unknown to them a watching eyes show clear in the window pane and with a soft hoot the owl flew out back to his master.

The owl landed carefully on the open balcony it's master was ready to greet her back " welcome back" he smiled as he sadly eyed the light on the next palace building. The day he laid eyes on the queen was the very first time he believed that there is fate she was fated for him and yet she was married to someone else, to add things up the person she was married who is the emperor treat her like a tool. " would you like to make the miss happy? How about delivering something to her?" the owl hoot in agreement it seems that the bird was also fond of the queen " Alright" he added as she eyed the window once more.
