IDV | Eli Clark X Reader ( To Love and To Protect)

She took her stuff from the table as she slowly walked her way out the door, today was nothing what she planned and today she will cry herself to sleep. Hoping tomorrow her beloved Eli will remember her.

Time skip/ Eli woke up from his deep sleep, when he slowly opened his eyes he noticed that the door opened gently. He eyed the person who came in, she was wearing white and blue uniform in instant he recognized the woman " Emily?" he asked shocking Emily in the process. She gently placed the tray on the table top as she eyed him.

" how are you feeling?" she asked the seer, Eli only shook his head as he gently took hold the side of his head " my head hurts a lot tell me what happened?" he asked Emily, with a sigh he took every chance to tell what really happened and what is the cause of it all. After explaining what happened Eli was finally clear what was happening, but even so hearing what really happened to him he cannot falter the thought of the woman who greeted him when he woke up.

" thank you for taking care of me" with that Emily shook her head " it was y/n who took care of you" she said as Eli only eyed her with thankfulness. The day went on as usual, y/n didn't have the courage to face Eli as much as she wanted to see her lover she was not sure if her heart will carry the pain of being forgotten. So with a heavy heart she avoided going or checking on him but casually asking Emily for updates.

She was now under the shade of the big three, Aesop approach her as he placed some tea set on the table " hello y/n mind if I join you?" the girl only looked at him and smile " sure" with that Aesop nodded settling down on the chair beside her. " I've heard about what happened to Eli are you sure you are okay with it?" with the question opened up like that, she slowly turned to him and with a sad smile she covered her face.

" y/n" Aesop renounce her name, with that he gently hugged the woman hearing her sobbing into his chest. The hand supporting the woman tighten, Aesop was fully aware how much she loved the seer and he knows well how Eli loved her dearly and yet this tragedy cause them to be in pain and to be in this situation. He hated it, he hated seeing her like this for he once was deeply inlove with her but he took the step down when he found out that she loved Eli more.

He will be lying if he will say that somehow he was thankful about what happened and maybe this time he will have a chance to finally be the only one, he eyed the crying girl in his arms as he tried to sooth her crying form " I am here" with that the two of them stayed there for a while, as Aesop tried to calm the woman down.

Time skip| It was lunch dinner time and y/n was sitting beside Aesop. Everyone in the table notice this usually y/n will sit beside Eli but since Eli was not there y/n stop eating dinner with them and this was the first time after the incident she joined the dinner time with the group.

Suddenly a familiar seer walk in the dining hall " hello" he said as the whole group eyed him with surprise " Eli welcome back" voice of greetings and welcoming echo the halls. y/n kept looking down as she hold her skirt tight not liking and not wanting to look up to see the seer. Aesop saw this and realized what was happening, when Eli saw y/n he felt a familiar hard thumping on his chest it was so hard it makes his breathe heavy.

"excuse me" with that y/n took this as an excuse to leave the dining hall, all eyes follow her as they look at her with concern. Few look at her retreating form with pity and few of them were just genuinely shock what is happening, Eli eyed her withdrawing form as he can't seem to understand why his chest hurts so much. But soon after the dinner slowly went on but with the heavy and an awkward silence baffled on the group.

y/n force herself to fall asleep, holding into the stuff toy she brought in the manor she sniff and cried silently under her covers. She wanted the love of her life back but what can she do if he cannot remember her? She heard a soft clacking on her window pane, turning to it she saw popo just outside the pane. She slowly stood up opening the window as the featherly bird flew inside her room.
