He just stood there smiling at you, when you finally felt comfortable with him you decide to resume on your sitting position, to your shock the male sat not too far from you. You observe him from your location, peaceful, calming, and gentle and somehow strong independent vibe was around him. He turned to looked at you with a smile, your face flush pink as you avoided his eyes " so? What brings you here?" he asked you this time, you slowly turned to him as you eyed him.

" I came to have a vacation, it's been a while since I last did so I wanted to enjoy it" you smiled at him, he only hum in acknowledgment and soon you heard him walking towards you. He sat near you as he continue to ask questions, you enjoyed his company something about him makes you comfortable like a familiar feeling settling down on you. But you cannot pin point the reason why, how can a stranger make you feel openly comfortably and familiar the same time.

The next day came like before, this time he was bring food and some drinks you really are comfortable with the new guy and decided to know him better. You've learned he had no parents and siblings, he live alone in the forest with a small cottage he had friends and few far consider relatives but other than that he never told you more.

Eli: have you ever regretted something in your life y/n?" he asked you out of the blue, you eyed him a bit and nodded he waited for you to speak again and when you spoke his eyes widen in shock

y/n: I regret leaving my pet owl alone" you said momentarily, " I rescued a baby owl before in the same forest, I promised to returned to him when I left him here that summer time, but I never came back" you paused " I only had the chance to come back now" you sadly smiled at him.

Eli: do you still wish to see the owl again?" he asked you, turning your head to him you nodded " I can help you if you really wish too" you eyed him hopeful from his words.

y/n: of course I wanted to see him again" with that he smiled at you " but how?" you asked him, he nodded as he slowly spoke

Eli: Meet me here tomorrow around 5 and I'll let you meet him" with that he slowly stood up him way, as he bow one last time walking out the forest. You ponder on his words you really wanted to see your pet owl and if this is the last resort then you don't mind trusting Eli's words. The night came and you still can't rest at ease, thinking hard how will Eli help you find your pet owl. You missed your dearly loved pet and so you really wanted to see him with that in mind your form slowly drift into slumber.

Morning came and you were pretty excited, your grandparents went to town to buy some food so you were alone in the house alone. You took the time to clean the place; it was summer so the leaves on your front yard were exceptionally heavy. You took the time to clean the place, keeping the little owl in your mind with a smile you finish your work in due time. When you notice that it was already 11 am, you took the time to cook your grandparents some delicious food.

When your grandparents arrive, they were pretty please seeing how clean the front yard was and how you managed to cook their favorite food for them. As the three of you were eating your lunch you strike few question about the forest near the place.

y/n: grandpa can I ask is there like a small town or place for people to stay inside the forest?" the sudden question made your grandpa eyed you with concerned he took the water on his side as he took a good quick sip.

Grandpa: There is no way a human can live inside the forest, there tons of wild boards, snakes and foxes there. That is the reason why there are safety hazard electric fens that separate the thick forest and the forest you can run around with. " he eyed you as he waited for you to speak again, you ponder why would Eli lied to you about living in the forest then?.

When the time came you took the chance to race down the familiar stream where you and Eli decided to meet, you were earlier than planned so you took the seat near the stream and soak your legs and feet to calm your rushing mind. Not long you hear a rustling from the bush, standing up and feeling giddy thinking it was Eli you waited for it to reveal himself.
