Chapter 16: Are you?

Y/n's POV:

Ariana has been blowing up my phone constantly ever since I stepped outside of the hotel door.
I think she's jealous of Kehlani which she has no reason to be.
I'm all about her and I just don't understand what she does get about that.
I'm in love with the woman and she feels like she has competition with everyone.
She doesn't, she'll always be in first.
I just wish that she'd understand that.
"What's on your mind?" Kehlani asked as we walked inside the mall.

"Nothing" I sighed out, sticking my hands in my pockets.
She rolled her eyes slightly before playfully pushing me.
"C'mon, I'm being for real"
"You can talk to me Y/n" She said interlocking our arms as we walked to Footlocker.
I let out a deep sigh before speaking.
"Ariana is insecure about- I don't even know anymore" I said grabbing one of the AirForce 1s off the shelf.
"Is it about me?" She asked and I nodded.
"Partially"

"I don't think she believes that I'm head over heels for her" I said admiring a pair of Retro Cement 4s.
They were beautiful.
"Are you?" She asked and I looked at her unamused.
"She has no reason to ever think that I'd go for you in that way"
"What's wrong with me?" I asked jokingly.
"Nothing, but I respect your relationship with her" She said picking up a few pairs of Nike's.
"I actually really like Ariana and I wanna collab with her ass"
"That'd be a dope ass collaboration" I said and she agreed.

Ariana's POV:

"You don't mean that Ari" He slurred.
Jesus Christ.
Of course he's drunk.
"Yes I do, I have a girlfriend" I said and as if on que, she replied to my text.
"Hang on" I said unlocking my phone and opening our messages.

iMessage:
My love 🥰🙈: I'm so sorry, I lost track of time
My love 🥰🙈: What happened baby?
Me: Nothin' I just mishu 🥺
My love 🥰🙈: I miss you too, I'll see you soon okay?
Me: Okay, I love you 😚
My love 🥰🙈: I love you too mamas

My heart was beating so fucking fast.
The things this girl does to me.
"I'm gonna go, I'm tired and I gotta study" Courtney said from my laptop.
"Okay bye Court, love ya"
"Love ya too AG" She said before hanging up.
"Ari...baby-"
"-Don't ever call me that" I said getting slightly angry at the man in front of me.
"Whatever I'm leaving" He said stumbling back as he attempted to walk away from me.
I'd be an asshole if I didn't at least make sure that he's safe.
"Ricky wait"

I threw his arm around my shoulder and the smell of alcohol immediately filled my nose.
He was definitely intoxicated.
I guided him back to his room and laid him down on his bed.
"Night Ricky" I said setting down the trash can by his bed with a bottle of water and a few pain killers for tomorrow morning.
As I turned to walk away, he grabbed my hand.
I snatched it back before turning to face him.
"What?"
"Can you stay with me?" He begged and I sighed.
"Ricky-"
"-I won't try anything, I promise"
"Just stay until I fall asleep please"

Y/n's POV:

"I'll see you soon Lani" I said giving her a hug before stepping out of the car.
"You better" She said and we laughed before I said bye one last time, heading upstairs to see my beautiful girlfriend.
Kehlani gave me some good ass advice for my relationship and I might actually use it.
"Hey, I brought-" I walked inside to find nobody.
Ariana's laptop was still on the bed but she was nowhere to be found.
I called her phone but she didn't answer, I began to get worried.
She got pissed that I was out so late with Kehlani, I wanted to apologize but I don't know where she is.

I literally got zero sleep last night.
I stayed up trying to find out where Ariana was.
She wasn't answering her phone or my texts and it was already 3 in the afternoon.
We have rehearsals in a few minutes and I'm losing my mind.
I can't get any of the steps down anymore and it's very fucking irritating.
"What's on your mind?" Darrion asked and I shook my head, trying my best to shrug it off.
"Y/n talk to us" Tiley said placing his hand on my back comfortingly.
I pushed him off of me and walked outside.

I soon heard footsteps following behind me.
"It's alright" Tiley said pulling me in for a hug.
I tried to fight the tears from falling but I couldn't, I broke down in his arms.
"It's okay, let it all out Y/n, I got you" He said and I nodded.
After a few minutes, I let go and we talked about Ariana and basically what went down.
"You still don't know where she is?" He asked and I shook my head.
"Go back to the hotel and sleep, you need it"
"I'll tell Brian the gist of it" He said helping me stand up.

I woke up from my sleep to hear the hotel room door slamming shut and the bed dip.
A familiar scent filled my nose and I knew who it was.
"Hi baby" She said kissing my cheek.
I rolled my eyes as I stood up and sat in the chair across the room.
"What's your problem?"
"You" I simply stated and she scoffed.
"I was worried about you, you couldn't even text me or anyone for that matter to tell me that you were okay?"
"Where were you Ariana?" I asked, on the verge of tears for the millionth time today.
"I was with someone"

"Who?"
"Ricky" She said quietly.
"Your ex?" I asked and she nodded
"It's not that big of a deal Y/n" She said rolling her eyes.
Are you fucking kidding me?
"So when you hang with your ex, it's not a big deal but when I do it, you throw a whole ass fit?" I asked shaking my head.
"Oh shit, my bad" I said sarcastically.
"I forgot that it's okay when you do it but it's a problem when I do"

I grabbed my hoodie from beside her and threw it on along with my shoes.
"Are you being serious?" She asked and I scoffed.
"Nah it's cool Ariana" I said unplugging my phone and putting it in my pocket.
I walked to the door and she stopped me.
"Baby-" She begged as she held onto my right hand.
"-Don't bother Ariana, I'll see you on stage tonight" I said taking my hand from her grasp before walking out.
"Y/n" She called out and I just ignored her.
If I looked back, I would'be stayed and I couldn't be around her right now.
