Chapter 4: Stop playing

Ariana's POV:

"Yes? As in you'll be my girlfriend?" She asked and I nodded.
"Why would I say no?"
"I don't know" She said laughing.
I was gonna pull her in for a kiss but I saw the paps taking pictures of us.
She pouted and I was ready to risk it all, I wanted that kiss.
We got off the Ferris Wheel and walked back to her car.
I wanted to hold her hand but I didn't want the news spreading out before I had a chance to let anyone know.

We drove to some vegan place down the street and got some food.
"I wanna take you out on a date Grande, similar to the one like today but I want to be able to kiss you" She said making me blush.
"What did you have in mind Chipolone?" I asked leaning over the table.
"It'll be a surprise but you'll enjoy it, promise" She said and we both smiled.
"Alright, I trust you"
"I would hope so"

We started talking about the past and it made me realize that I really do love this girl.
I leaned in once again to capture her lips in mine but I stopped when I saw flashes going off.
"Can't I just kiss my girl in peace?" I groaned before leaning back in my seat.
"Oh, you can" She said taking a sip of her water.
"Ain't nobody stopping you babygirl"
"Yeah...they are" I said pointing across the street.
There was a woman with sunglasses and a hat that barely covered her head.
I could see the flashes from her camera going off, which says a lot considering how very little I can see.

"I think you're all talk Grande" Y/n said with a smirk on her face.
"What're you talking about?"
"I'm saying that if you really wanted to kiss me as bad as you claim then you'd do it" She said shrugging.
"Kiss me if you want to kiss me Ariana" She whispered.
Fuck.
I couldn't back down now.

Y/n's POV:

"Oh for sure"
"We definitely have to go again, like ASAP" I said unlocking the front door.
"Let's go next Friday?" She suggested.
"Really?"
"Yeah" She said nodding.
"Let's go then"
"Hey sis" I said sitting down on the left side of Courtney.
Ariana went around and sat on the right side.

"Hey court" Ariana said waving.
She was ignoring the both of us, which meant one thing.
"What're watching?" I asked and Courtney let out a sigh.
"What's the cold shoulder for?" I asked nudging her with a smile.
She pushed me and rolled her eyes before walking into the kitchen.
I looked at Ariana and we both rolled our eyes as well before following her.

We stood in the kitchen on opposite ends waiting for Courtney to stop being a bitch.
"What's the deal with you guys?"
"What're you talking about?" I questioned.
I saw Ariana instantly become tense.
"There's pictures all over the internet of you and Ariana kissing" Courtney said and I just rolled my eyes.
"No there's not" I said laughing.
"Look at this" She said pulling out her phone and opening up Instagram.
She was right.

There was over 50 photos in my tagged photos of Ariana and I.
"You seriously believe those?" Ariana spoke up.
"It's obvious Ariana"
"Those are edits, I don't even have bangs anymore" She pointed out on an actual edited one.
"I have to clear up these rumors, I'll be back" Ariana said waking upstairs.
"There's nothing going on between Ariana and I" I said before walking away and following my baby upstairs.
"That was a close one, so no more kisses in public"
Then my phone started buzzing.

"I hate lying to my fans" She said locking her phone and tossing it on my bed.
"I know baby" I said grabbing her hand.
"It'll only be for a little and then we can come out to the public and to your sister" She said kissing my cheek.
"I'll see you later baby" She said trying to walk away but I pulled her back into me.
"What? I wanted to watch movies and cuddle" I said pouting.
She quickly kissed me before smiling.
"Stop pouting or I'm gonna stay"

"I wouldn't be opposed to that idea" I said kissing her shoulder.
"Where are you going that's so important that you're gonna leave your girlfriend?" I said leaning back into my bed.
"I love hearing that" She said giggling.
"Yeah?"
"Mmmhm"
She then climbed onto my bed and straddled me.
"And to answer your question, I have tour rehearsals my baby" She said leaning down and pecking my lips a few times.

"Oh that's pretty important, never mind"
"Yeah" She said giggling.
"Okay, see you when you get back?"
"Of course"
"I'm thinking Bring It On and some ice cream"
"With lots of kisses?" She asked taking photos of us on her phone.
"It wouldn't be fun without them"
"And cuddling?"
"Most definitely" I said giving her one last kiss.

"Then I'm in"
She climbed back off me and grabbed her things before walking toward my door.
"Alright, I'll see you later baby"
"I love you" She said lowly.
I knew exactly what she said but I wanted to hear it again.
"What happened?" I asked with a big grin on my face.
"Nothing, see you later" She said slamming my door and racing down to her car.
"Okay?"

I laid down and texted Ariana while she waited for rehearsals to start.
Then my manager called.
"Hello?" I said answering the phone call.
"I have a job that I think you'll be very very interested in"
"Really?" I asked sitting up.
"Yeah, meet inside of Millennium Dance Complex" He said and I wrote down the address.
"What time?"
"At 5 sharp, if you're late they aren't gonna accept you"

"Okay, bye" I said hanging up.
"Fuck yeah" I screamed and Courtney came upstairs.
"Shut the fuck up"
"Fuck you" I said and we laughed.
I checked the time, only to see that it was 4:15 already.
I took a quick shower and got changed before grabbing a snack and heading over there.
It was at least a 20 minute drive so I wasn't in a big rush.

Ariana's POV:

"Then I said 'I love you' and walked out" I said putting my head in my hands.
"Ariana" Brian said laughing.
"I know, I know"
"I was freaking out the whole way here" I said joining in on the laughter.
"Hey guys, an extra audition was added today" Scott said walking over to us.
"Alright"
"Rehearsals start in 5, Bri, Ari, we gotta set up" He said walking away.

"Okay I'll be in right now, get started without me" I said and they nodded, leaving me alone.
"Hey, is this the Millen-"
"-Ariana?"
"Y/n?" I questioned.
"What're you doing here?" I asked taking her away from the others outside.
"My manager set me up with this, said it'd be a great fit for me"
"What're you doing here?" She asked.

"Baby, I'm holding the auditions" I said and she laughed.
"Stop playing"
When I didn't smile she realized I wasn't kidding.
"Oh you're being serious?"
"Yeah" I said giggling.
"Great, now I'm gonna be distracted" She said as we walked inside.
"You? I'm gonna be distracted" I said and she laughed.
They did a few warm up routines before Brian taught them the dances.

After about 20 minutes, all the dancers were sweaty.
Y/n took off her shirt and she was left in a bra and her sweats.
She looked sexy as hell.
I bit my bottom lip as I watched my girl move her ass.
Fuck.
"Alright Ariana, you're joining in on this one" Brian called out, interrupting my from my thoughts.
"Don't get too turned on" Y/n said as she placed her hands on my hips.
"I'm already turned on but what's new when it comes to you?"
"Why aren't you rapping?" Y/n said making me laugh.
