Chapter 55

Jeongso didn't know what he was doing or if any of this made sense at all. It was insane what the name, Ha Jin, could make him do. He had no idea either, but suddenly he found himself in a place he never thought would be in his sight of view, a public cinema. He was fully covered in disguise with a thick scarf and cap shielding his eyes from curious stares, yet it obliviously didn't make people lost interest in him at all.

He stood with Jinsoo waiting in line to buy tickets for a movie. They were brothers but Jeongso never considered them that close to spend time watching a movie together. But see how it turned out.

Though Jun's manager Joonha picked the news that Jun was supposed to go on a date here, but Joonha had different plans for both Jun's and his date, which is where Jeongso and Jinsoo show up in the picture. They were supposed to block Yejin from going elsewhere as Joonha already had plans for Jun. Jinsoo was staying for secure, only because Joonha couldn't put his trust in Jeongso's temper.

The line of people standing was shortening, the two guys moved forwards with awkward steps. The air was oddly awkward and it didn't make it much better to feel the fixed stare on them, on two young fully covered men getting tickets for a romance movie at the time of eve.

"Well how is things going?" Jeongso asked, trying to turn a blind eye to the people giving them an unfriendly stare.

"Well... fine," Jinsoo cleared his throat.

"Fine? Then why would you avoid everyone? Including Joonha it seems,"

It was no secret that Jinsoo was close to Joonha.

"Guess there isn't a thing escaping the president of Hwang Group." Jinsoo said under his breath, only audible for Jeongso to hear as they moved forward in the line.

"Besides from the president position," Jeongso paused, fixing his onyx stare at Jinsoo.

"I'm also your brother." It was never questioned but at times Jinsoo did found their relation vague. Watching Baekeun and Joonha, he wondered how they were able to get such a close bond when his family was no different from a fragmented picture. Sometimes he wondered what was wrong with his own family, yet when Jeongso mentioned those words, Jinsoo couldn't help but be surprised.

Jeongso never really showed any interest in him, neither did he had any close relationship with Jun. When things turned out wrong the first person that he would think of was Hanmin. Jinsoo had no idea why but it has always been like that. He felt safe and reassured with the presence of Hanmin, of the reason he couldn't explain.

"It's nothing..." Jinsoo said, eyes avoiding his brother.

"If you say so," Jeongso replied.

"But let me ask one thing, why did you agree to this?" Jinsoo had never personally acquainted Jieun, hence Jeongso didn't see why he would involve himself with this.

As Jinsoo was about to answer they heard a loud shout from behind the line. Jeongso had no reason to turn around, he could already tell who it was. Jinsoo on the other hand couldn't help but look back upon hearing the ruckus.

A guy, violently took hold of the hand of the girl as he forcefully pulled her out of the line. The girl was no other than Yejin.

"Let go!" Yejin yelled, her expression showed the discomfort as she tried to brush away the hand that held her wrist way too tight.

"How dare you break up with me!" The guy said, forcing her to go with him.

"Hyung.." Jinsoo whispered to Jeongso, trying to gain his attention.

"Isn't that the-"

The guy grabbed Yejin and pulled her away while no other said a word. Jinsoo was about to step in but Jeongso stopped him from doing so.

"But she is-"

"No longer our business."

"But-" Jinsoo didn't get to finish his sentence as Jeongso already was out of the line heading to the exit, not caring if she was pulled or carried away.

The plan includes Jeongso to keep the reporter away from Jun, not saving her from a possessive guy, hence he felt no obligation to stay at all. Joonha told them to keep Yejin from going anywhere but it seemed like the other guy was doing a better job than Jeongso could ever do.

Jinsoo had a hard time understanding his brother, how could he only look at his goal and turn a blind eye to everything else? At times like this, he even wondered how they could be so different. Jeongso could turn off to anything that didn't matter, while Jinsoo was never able to understand his way of handling himself.

[An hour back in time - Jieun at Jun's place]

Jieun knew she was insane, why else would she agree to such a ridiculous plan? How could this turn any good? Would a little touch on the outer really be enough to fool him? Or would she just make a laugh out of herself? She was no actor. It is hard enough playing Ha Jin herself, how was she supposed to play Yejin? Yet all those wise questions only arose the moment she stood in front of his door.

It didn't come earlier when she was at the salon, when she got the hours long makeover or when she was in Joonha's car. No out of all time her mind only came up with the right question at the last minute. When it was too late. Joonha was insane. And she was insane for going with his arrangements. What could be any good of her being another? If Jun wouldn't recognize her, wouldn't that be just as much disappointment?

Jieun bit her bottom lip, her hand still hanging in the air in a fist in front of Jun's front door, about to make a knock. She was so nervous that her heart was about to burst out from her ribcage, it was insane how much it raced as if she had run kilometers distance. She couldn't do this. She was a coward. She couldn't face him like this. She didn't have what it takes.

Jieun turned her heals about to leave as the door suddenly opened and Jun appeared. His eyes just as shocked as she was, filled with bewilderment and perplex. At times when she was speechless, her mind wouldn't progress and the words wouldn't sound right at all.

"Why are you here?" Jun asked, his eyes fixed on her, making Jieun even more nervous.

"I-I..." Her voice a stammer, her hands tightened in a fist making her knuckles turned as white as her mind.
