The days went by, and Nina could see how Loki was becoming more and more desperate, never wanting to leave her side, spending as much time as he could with her.

They would spend days walking outside on castle grounds, reading dozens of books in the library, playing on their beds... Turns out Loki was indeed as good in bed as he claimed to be.

It was their last day together, because by the morning, Loki was going to be thrown in prison for the rest of his life. Nina had told Loki that she wouldn't even spend the night, because she couldn't bare to see him being taken away. Yet, he didn't seem to like that.

"It's just one more night," he said, raising his voice slightly. Nina knew where this was going and she didn't like it. She was supposed to leave in a few hours and Loki was desperate.

"I told you already, Loki," Nina said quietly. She was sitting on the edge of his bed while Loki paced his room.

"But why?" He asked again. "Why won't you stay?"

"I can't," she said, her voice faltering. Except Loki didn't didn't even notice it because he was already speaking and begging her again.

"Nina, Nina," he pleaded, looking directly into her eyes. "Nina please," he almost begged.

"Loki, I can't," she said more firmly this time. "I told you when you first asked me to be here with you that I wouldn't stay forever. This is it," she told him, not even standing up to meet his height.

"How can you be so selfish!" He suddenly yelled, making her flinch. She wasn't quite sure why he was being like this, but she knew she didn't like it. "I will be in a prison for the rest of my life and you can't stay for one more night!?"

"I'm selfish?" She asked, a short laugh erupting form her throat that sent shivers down Loki's back. "You think I'm the selfish one?"

"That's exactly what I think!" He yelled at her. Nina suddenly stood up.

"I left my home to come and stay with you for a week, all the while knowing you'd leave me!" She yelled at him, walking toward him angrily and pushing him backwards. If this was anyone else, Loki would have fought back, but he didn't. He let himself be pushed back. "I spend a week here, but I'm not spending another day, because I'm done having people leave me! They always do, because that's how people are. Everyone I knew is gone, and every human I've ever met will wither and die and I'll have to live on. I'm done, Loki. If you want to call me selfish, go ahead! I don't fucking care! Do what you want!" She yelled at him, pushing him one last time into the wall before walking out of the room and closing the door behind her, leaving Loki frozen in place.
