Nina raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"France? Why are we going to France?" She asked, moving her hand to raise her seat and sit up.

"Keep you hand on that," Bucky said as soon as he realised she was moving her seat with the hand she was supposed to keep pressure on her wound with. "And we're going there because there's a doctor I know, and he owes me."

"Oh," she said. "Can I sleep?"

"Not now," Bucky told her. "You've lost too much blood, you're really pale."

"You want me to cross the Atlantic after three days without sleep and not sleep?" Nina asked him, her eyebrows raised, slurring her words.

"Not for now, doll. You're a doctor, you should know."

"Yes, yes," she waved him. "But I'm tired."

"I know."

Needless to say, Nina fell asleep within the following two minutes and a half. And boy, she slept. Every once in a while, while she did, Bucky would look to the side and make sure she was still breathing. She began slipping from the seat, not.even bothering to wake up, so Bucky adjusted her seat to lay back down.

Bucky stared at her sleeping form. She looked so peaceful. There were no worry lines over her face like usually. Her mouth was about two centimeters open, and Bucky thought it was very cute.

Nina didn't wake up once he landed the plane. He had to land on a beach, and luckily, it was a very cold day and there wasn't anyone on it. Just as he was shutting off the engine, Nina woke up with a jump. Bucky immediately ran to her.

"Woah, there," Bucky said, grabbing her shoulders. Nina relaxed once she felt his touch. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," Nina whispered. "Are we there yet?"

"We're on a beach, can you walk a bit?" He asked. Nina nodded, standing up. Bucky was quite glad that she was feeling better. Nina was not as pale as she had been before, and that was good too.

The thing was; if they were to leave the jet here, that was it. They couldn't take it back. The police was probably going to discover it, link it with HYDRA, and they had to run as fast as they could. And that meant they couldn't leave any trace of themselves inside. Bucky then grabbed every cloth and clothe he had used to stop Nina's bleeding and threw them in a plastic bag before throwing it in their backpack.

The house of this old doctor Bucky knew was far enough from them, so Bucky decided they were best off taking a taxi. Luckily, Nina had a lot of paper money stashed in her home and she brought it back with her. Once she joined the Avengers, Tony recognised how their job was not stable at all, and he gave 1000 dollars in paper to her and to Nat invade anything went wrong. Also, Nina kept it stashed away because she knew how the life on the run could be, and she couldn't use any credit of debit cards, because they would recognise her location. Because of that, along with the 1000$ from Stark, Nina also had another 5000 hidden, which she also brought with her. This was all of her money. This was all she had, and she chose to bring it to help Bucky.

Bucky called a cab and they got in.

"Bonjour, monsieur," he said to the cab driver. "Pouvez-vous nous amener à la rue Pierre Albrand, s'il vous plaît?"

"Bien sur, attachez vous."

They drove to the place as Nina sat in the middle seat, her head resting on Bucky's shoulder. He was afraid to let her sleep again, so he was glad that every time the car shook, she lifted her head and looked around in surprise.

"Merci beaucoup," Bucky told the driver once they stopped and he handed the driver some money. They were lucky this driver accepted US dollars, and they had to change this money as soon as possible. Bucky helped Nina out of the car and closed the door behind her. "Come on, it's right here," he said, offering her an arm. She gladly took it and he passed his metal arm around her waist, being very careful not to hurt her any more.
