Not much had happened in the last months. Nina had gone back to her usual SHIELD missions, and had gotten considerably closer to Steve.

Everything was calm, and had been for the pas couple of months, which scared Nina a lot, and Steve noticed it. He asked her if she'd like to go running with him one day, as a calming activity, and it becane psrt of their morning routine.

They were racing each other around the small artificial lake, always making sure to taunt this other man that was also running. It wasn't his fault they were at least three times faster than him.

"On your left," Steve said as he passed the man. Nina decided to hop in the joke.

"On your left," she said as she passed the man tight behind Steve.

"Uh-huh, on my left," the man said, starting to get the joke. "Got it." The man was still jogging when Steve ran past him again. "Don't say it, don't you say it!" He yelled. Steve didn't say anything, but Nina wasn't that nice.

"On your left," she said as she ran past him behind Steve.

"Come on!" The man yelled, and sprinted a hundred meters before stopping to breathe.

The two of them ran around couple more times then walked to a tree, where the man from before was resting, trying to catch his breath. Nina was breathing heavily, like a normal person would after a good run, but Steve's breathing was completely regular. He was a supersoldier after all.

"Need a medic?" Steve joked. Both him and Nina laughed.

"I need a new set of lungs," he said back. Steve and Nina laughed once more. Nina extended him her arm, and he gladly took it to help him stand up. "You two just ran like thirteen miles in thirty minutes."

Twenty five minutes and thirty two seconds, Nina thought.

"Oh I guess we got a late start then," Steve said. Nina scoffed.

"Thank goodness we did," she told them. "I definetly needed thise last minutes of my beauty sleep," she joked.

"Yeah, you should be ashamed of yourself, Steve." The man said as a joke. "You should take another lap." He hesitated for a moment. "Did you just take it? I'll assume you just took it," he added sarcasticly.

"What unit you with?" Steve asked the man, realising he had been in the army.

"Fifty-eighth, Pararescue. But now I'm working down at the VA. Sam Wilson," he said, extending his hand towards Steve.

"Steve Rogers," he said, shaking it. Sam then extended it towards Nina.

"Nina Jones," she said, taking his hand. He turned back to Steve.

"I kind of put that together. Must have freaked you out coming home after the whole defrosting thing." Nina took advantage of the situation, Steve and Sam chatting, to lean against a tree and take a good breath. She was definetly not in shape. At least not as she used to be.

"It takes some getting used to," Steve agreed.

"You're on the Avengers thing, yes? You're the bad ass one I saw on TV?" Sam asked Nina, who smiled.

"I guess so." Suddenly there was a ding from a phone. It was Nina's. She took it out and read a message on the screen. "Mission alert. Nat is conning to get us," she announced.

"It's good to meet you, Sam," Steve told the man as they walked to the side walk. A few seconds later, Natasha Romanoff pulled off with the car.

"Alright, duty calls," Nina added  "Thanks for the run. If that's what you wanna call running," she teased with a smirk.

"Oh that's how it is?" Sam asked smiling.

"That's how it is," Nina confirmed.

"Hey, fellas," Nat said as she lowered the window of the obviously expensive car. "Either one of you know where the Smithsonian is? I'm here to pick up a fossil." Nina pretended to laugh at her bad joke.

"That's hilarious," Steve agreed sarcasticly.

"I call shotgun!" Nina screamed and ran past Steve towards the front seat. Steve walked towards the back of the car.

"How you doin'?" Sam tried.

"Hey," Nat told him. Sam took some seconds to admire their ride.

"Can't run everywhere," Sam joked.

"No you can't," Steve admired before closing the door.
