"What about the nurse that lives across the hall from you? She seems kind of nice," Natasha said through their coms.  Nina was in the middle of a fight and Natasha had just parachuted on deck.

"She's really pretty," Nina added, which kind of confused the men she was fighting, since they couldn't hear the whole conversation. She finished them off in a matter of seconds once they were distracted.

"Secure the engine room, then find me a date," Steve said back.

"We're women. We are multitasking," Nina commented. Multitask. That's something men couldn't do, right? So if Nina was to speak to Natasha right now about that Jasper Sitwell that was part of Hydra, he wouldn't pay attention, right? Still, better to do it in Russian. She knew about the risk of anyone listening being part of Hydra and maybe speaking russian too, but she wasn't sure if Nat knew any other languages, and decided it was worth the risk.

"Он один из них," Nina said vaguely into the com. There was a silence.

"что?" Natasha asked back. She wasn't quite sure exactly of whom Nina was talking about. Steve? Steve was Hydra? Was she crazy?

"Офицер которого мы собираемся спасти. Он один из них," Nina explained.

"ты уверен?" Natasha asked.

"Да."

"Хорошо."

There was too much silence from the boys. They had to change the subject, one of them was clearly listening, and Nina wasn't even that sure of the inocence of any of the men they were working with today.

"But we haven't eaten yet," Nina continued in English. Luckily, Natasha was very smart and immediately picked up on her hint.

"Doesn't mean we her to have pizza again. Not every night. I need a salad at least once a week," Natasha told her.

"Who likes salads? Pizza tastes better," Nina told her honestly.

"Is that you proving your point about multitask to me?" Steve asked. Good, he fell for it.

A few minutes later, Nina and Natasha were still in the middle of their fights all over the ship, while Steve and the other agents were ready to rescue the ship's crew.

"Status?" Steve asked.

"STRIKE in position," Rumlow told him.

"Hold," Nina told them.

"Natasha?" Steve asked.

No answer.

"Natasha, Status?" He tried again, his voice urgent and clearly worried.

"Hold on," Nat answered. There was a relieved sigh from Steve's com. Nina would have laughed if she hadn't been fighting to her death. Was he worried that Natasha could have gotten hurt? Natasha was a trained Russian Spy, she would be the last one to get hurt in a fight like this.

They heard a couple grunts from both Nina's and Man's coms, until both of them were done.

"Second and third floors secure," Nina told them, panting. It had been a long fight and an even longer day.

"Engine room secure," Natasha said.

"On my mark," Steve said. "Three, two, one!"

The STRIKE team started shooting everyone down. Rumlow quickly kills the boss in the room with a shot to the head. One of the pirates left tried the radio, only to realise he had lost contact with Bartroc, their leader.

"Allo?" He tried. Upon no answer, he turned to his friends in the room. "La ligne est morte. J'ai perdu contact avec eux." Just then, Steve smashed through the window with his shield, but Bartroc managed to escape. Steve soon starts pursuit.

"Hostages in route to extraction," Rumlow said through the coms. "Romanoff missed the rendez-vous point, Cap. Hostages are still in play." Great. Rumlow had to remind him. Nina tried her best to keep Steve away from it.

"I've got it," Nina said.

"No, you come and help me out. Bartoc's on the move. Run up to the deck," Steve said. "Natasha, circle back to Rumlow. Protect the hostages." There was no reply from Natasha. She wasn't helping herself. Nina sighed.

"Natasha!" Steve tried again. At the same time, Bartroc appeared behind Nina and landed a blow on the back of her head, making her fall front to the ground.

"Steve, I've found him," Nina said more like a groan. She brought her hand to her head, feeling the blood coming out of it.

"Je croyais que tu n'était pas dépendante de ton ami Monsieur Amérique," the man commented. Just after he said that, she swept her feet upon his lower legs, making him fall back to the ground, and giving her time to stand back up.

"Pas dépendante, non. Mais si de l'aide est disponible, pourquoi est-ce que je refuserait?" Nina answered, wiping the smug smirk from his face. They fought for a little while, Nina managing to get a few punches in before Steve got there. He managed to knock him out by smashing him through one of the computers room. Unfortunately, it was the one Natasha was in, trying to save S.H.I.E.L.D.'s info into an USB key.

"Well this is awkward," Nina said as she stood up from the broke glass from the door. Her two hands were all cut open and she had cuts and bruises on her face. Steve frowned at her, but soon turned back to Natasha.

"What are you doing?" He asked her. She barely moved, eyes still staring at the computer screen.

"Backing up the hard drive. It's a good habit to get into," she answered.

"Rumlow needed your help," Steve told her. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"I offered help. He dismissed it," Nina said.

"You're also in this?" He asked Nina. She shrugged, apologies in her eyes. "You're saving S.H.I.E.L.D Intel."

"Everything I can get my hands on," Natasha answered. Steve couldn't believe what was happening. Natasha and Nina had gone behind his back. I mean, Natasha was a trained Russian Spy and all, but he had known Nina all his life, pretty much. He turned his back to Natasha to stare at Nina as she removed chunks of glass from her long  auburn hair.

"Our mission was to rescue hostages," he told her.

"No, that's your mission," Nina told him. Natasha finished backing up info and pulled the flash drive out. "And you've done it beautifully," Nina added.

"You two just jeopardized this whole operation," he told Natasha.

"I think that's overstating things." Suddenly, Bartroc rose and threw a grenade at the two as he ran off. Steve deflected the bomb with his shield, grabbing Natasha, who was the closest to him, and jumped through a window, hiding underneath it. Nina didn't have the time to hide, but she did run and jump through the already broken window as the bomb exploded. She sat back up, grabbing another chunk of glass from her hair.

"Come on," she said, obviously annoyed and tired of finding glass in her hair.

"Okay that's on me," Natasha said, grabbing her shoulder that had hit the floor when she and Steve had jumped through the window.

"You're damn right," Steve answered, getting up angrily and walking away.
